Hell is the opposite of heaven. If Jesus didn't create heaven, then how does the decision go to him or Satan? They're no nice caring or affirmitive judge of character or lives. Jesus maybe but not Satan and if Jesus really can keep us from hell that's good but why does Satan get to choose?

He doesn't. He sealed his own fate when he rebelled against God.

  1. The idea of sending people to hell.
  2. Falsely twisting or manipulating confusing or accusing to do so
  3. Making one a certain way to commit the sin to then judge them funny thing till it happens to you.

No one sends you to hell. That is a choice you make.

Manipulating confusing what?

Like salvation, sin is a choice.

I was just browsing the site, and saw yours here. :)
Just throwing in two cents.

I have never like the cop out ...< No one sends you to hell. That is a choice you make. > It has never ever made a lick of sense to me.

Nobody choses to put their hand in a fire and burn.
No one in their 'right mind' choses to walk out under a bus.

I think someone came up with the cop-out phrase to try and make God look better , but saying than man choses Hell for himself! o_O

Not that I believe that God prepared the lake of fire for mankind...it says it was prepared for the Devil and his angels. I do believe in a period of 'hell', but not the forever and forever thing.

I don't believe sin is always a choice. I think it is more a non-choice of resisting. I think most sin is prompted by the body lusts of mankind, not by the heart. When left long enough it 'may' become a heart issue. I believe that we just want what we want when we want and as much as we want. Desire overrules the will to choose God.

I am just rambling here for the sake of it.. LOL

He doesn't. He sealed his own fate when he rebelled against God.
The seventy-two returned with joy and said, ‘Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name.’ He replied, ‘I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. Luke 10:17-19

Like salvation, sin is a choice.
Manipulating sins and misrepresenting character.

I thought repentance meant being sorry for your sin and not doing it or greatly defeating it from then on?

It means it's false judgement that's too easy, therefore it's false again. What's judgement if you can just whip it up on anyone or is it anyone?

Jesus whipped it up when he judged the money changers in the temple. A leather one I believe which is what whips were made of in those days.

Please don't apologise, Grace. All you have done is fill in some of the lines I have written. I KNOW that I tend to apply brevity in my posts as I don't want to bore people out of their wits, so a little fill in now and then can be useful.

So on the hell choice thing, you can make a choice by not making a choice, if you get what I mean????

Agree, I believe so. A non choice, is a choice. Kinda being at a crossroad, and then comfortably 'camping there'. I had two wonderful kind caring uncles.
Sadly they gave, served, and added to make this world a nicer place for many.
Yet they made no choice at all. They didn't 'choose hell' ...just the oposite , they made earth a heaven for many. But their non-choice, was a choice ...
They did nothing bad, (ie they didn't 'drink coffee', but that did not mean that they were drinking the Pure Water of Life)

Much 'good' done in this world is still the fruit of the wrong tree. It may be good, but it is not Life.

Hahaha!! My rambling is probably all semantics really. I just have an aversion about- 'people making a choice to go to hell' . :)

I don't believe sin is always a choice.
Well as a matter of fact, according to the Bible every sin is indeed a choice. Every person always has choices. And it all began with Adam and Eve, who failed to make the right choices when they could have EASILY done so.

But James 1 gives us the progression of sin.

13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:

14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. [A CHOICE]

15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

I am bewildered that Christians familiar with the OT and how God organised Israel, His church, now believe that we should shun organisation in favour of some holy 'spirit' led disorganised church.

Hi there.
Well we are free to disagree.
I still say that often it is not a cognitive choice.
As I was saying to him...it is often the lust of the BODY, which has its way, not always a choice of the heart. Think a about it..really.

King David on the roof top, did not choose to sin. " Oh I think I will sin against God"... No, he was listen not to his heart but an organ further down in his body.

He did not 'choose sin', he chose his self /his urges, his body fulfilment .

I don't see why everyone has to follow God why they can't be free to live how they want.
