I Agree. that's why I've come back the the King! KJV that is.I do think, however, that some translations have it watered-down.
Much love!

Are you sure you're even saved???????????????
You sure are a busy little bee judging everyone else's soul.
Is §God on vacation and he left YOU in charge?
I really have nothing further to discuss with you.
There is always a spiritual conflict in the true believer. Romans 8 and Ephesians 6 make this clear.
Yep. Because you're rejecting the testimony of the Holy Ghost through me.Is that a sin, I wonder?
Friend, do you really mean that the Christian life is supposedly one of constant sinlessness and tranquility? I don't in any case see any Biblical evidence for this.Sounds like Augustine, a man with no discipline, a continual life of public confessions and literal battle with his own Bible.

But this does not teach sinless perfection; and the Lord Jesus Himself indicated in Luke that the Christian life involves taking up one's cross daily.1Pe 5:10, But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
Not if you're still sinning against the Lord.Yes--the way I look at it, once you gain the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit, the war is over.
Sinless perfection was not the point I was making by it (though the verse does indeed teach entire sanctification). The point I was making was that you must needs suffer only for a while, (until God hath made you perfect), and then you will be established so that you might live a peaceable life in Christ. But this does not teach sinless perfection; and the Lord Jesus Himself indicated in Luke that the Christian life involves taking up one's cross daily.

Entire sanctification has to do with taking up your cross daily. It is not the eradication of the element of sin from your mortal flesh; but it is the practical outworking of a consistent holiness that we begin to walk in through self-denial.But this does not teach sinless perfection; and the Lord Jesus Himself indicated in Luke that the Christian life involves taking up one's cross daily.
As a believer in the Rapture, I would see 'a while' as referring to time between now and the Rapture (1 Thess. 4); the believer's tribulation (John 16.33) and suffering is not to be ended by some meritorious, ecstatic state of tranquility that I can supposedly earn.Sinless perfection was not the point I was making by it (though the verse does indeed teach entire sanctification). Hi brakelite,
I will be staunchly against this view.
I believe every word and every letter was put down exactly like God wanted.
And on a practical note . . . if you are correct, then where is it's Authority?
Much love!
If there's conflict...there's something you're not understanding. There is always a spiritual conflict in the true believer. Romans 8 and Ephesians 6 make this clear.
Ephesians 6 says "we wrestle not against flesh and blood..."If there's conflict...there's something you're not understanding.
There's no conflict in God's word...except for some small stuff that's irrelevant.
They are glorified bodies.Resurrection bodies are changed ones.
I don't think so.I put JBF on "ignore". Makes life more peaceful. I still see his posts come through on my email notifications however, and it is satisfying to use the "delete" button on them. Is that a sin, I wonder?
Come on F, talk to me.Ephesians 6 says "we wrestle not against flesh and blood..."
A think a reading of the passage - without my admixture - would be better...Come on F, talk to me.
What does that mean?
