He took every single temporal good from me. I lost my husband, my home, my bank accounts, my vehicle. Then He would not let me have a job. I sank into what would truly have been abject poverty except for the fact that mom gave me a place to stay.

All that to get me to trust Him. Praise God!!

Umm God doesn't exactly work dat way, he does chastise us as rev 3:19 states, He works in many ways, but he doesn't take away physical things from us like riches, mammon, dats most likely the devil, he deals wiv temporal things like in book of job. Gods main focus is the internal things unless its his will.

God sometimes makes us go threw physical infirmity's in order 2 strengthen us or even bless, sometimes we need 2 be brought down a peg or 2 just 2 humble ourselves, or sometimes he even lets the devil have his way with us a little again just 2 chastise us and strengthen us. chastisement builds character, had I of not been chastise I don't think I would have ever became a Christian.

Actually the book of Job shows us that God indeed takes things away...physical things...things we rely on so that we can cry out to Him in our need.

Even though you started this thread, it is still a testimony thread on the Testimonial Forum. Arguments here against another person's testimony are inappropriate. What happened to @stunnedbygrace does happen to people for God's purposes. My own testimony also establishes that.

But if you want to argue the point please don't do it here. Start another thread on a proper forum. Thank you!

No, the forum is also for giving testimonies [not subject to debate and only minimal favorable discussion], praising God, asking for prayer, simply fellowshipping with friends and a number of other things.

Simply click on "Forums" at the upper left top of this page just to the right of the word "Home" and it will take to the a page showing all of the available sub-forums. Select the heading that fits what you want to do. Not everyone who posts wants to argue, debate or even discuss their personal testimonies.

Actually the testimony board is not a discussion board.
I actually agree with you that God 'allows' Satan to take, hinder, hurt and destroy...that's his job....seen in the book of Job.
But that said...Amadeus is correct...another person's testimony is not a discussion topic, unless to say amen and encourage.
