And perhaps you never will, but if that is the Way God works, would it not be a good thing...or?

Sure. Many times - through other people, through His Word, I see the manifestations of answered prayer ♥ But I have NOT seen him with my physical eyes, nor heard with my physical ears :)
Ok, you’ve seen Him but you haven’t.

Physically - no.
Spiritually - yes...'through His Word...through other people...through answered prayer."
Jesus answers saying if you’ve seen me you’ve seen the father.

Imagine a world where everyone sees their neighbor as created in the image of God. Possessing within them the Godhead?
Do all things as if unto the Lord?
How would I treat those before me?

"How would I treat those before me?"
Hopefully like one who was created in His Image. :)

Not! ;)

PS it would nullify faith if one were to look for these things through carnality.

Amen!
If it is the flesh on which we put the primary emphasis then we would effect reverse the words of John the Baptist:

"He must increase, but I must decrease." John 3:30

"For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not." Rom 7:18

"O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?" Rom 7:24

"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." Rom 8:1

Hi John.
The more time passes, I find faith to be exciting. It's as if God has so many ways to answer us...it's like a treasure hunt, lol and the sense of anticipation is as a kid on his/her birthday just wondering what mom or dad got for them in the pretty package! And, yesterday I opened a huge gift from Him...a prayer for a friend...ANSWERED! Knowing He will answer is one thing but, not knowing HOW He will answer is the anticipation of it all...and of course, nothing compares to the peace that even though we see no way - we know He does ♥

Is He (Jesus) in you?

Have you heard Him knocking, opened the door, and let Him in?

Heard Him knocking when I was ten and opened the door...nothing happened. A couple years ago it wasn’t knocking but more like Paul’s experience of ...now is the time and He chooses.

But then again I wrestle mostly every day if I’m following a false god I’ve created in my mind or His real voice. You said something either here or on another thread regarding...Daniel 12:2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

^the above has thrown a curve to every thing I thought I knew of God. And once again that has me wondering .. Who am I following? All I can think of to counter it is Isaiah 29:10 For the Lord hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath he covered.

What I hear and follow is He came to not destroy the world...but to save it. Same as He sent “them” , those He prayed the Father would knit together as One perfect man...having one mind, one voice, one heart..sent to not destroy the world but to save it. He became curse...a reproach so we could live. Paul could be described as the same...becoming a curse and a reproach ...not Saul but Paul ...a new creature ...a new thing God has done in He came to give Life, not take it. Paul even testified he yearned (the Holy Spirit bearing witness) that it was a truth that Paul wished to be cursed for the sake of those of his flesh. Fits the model we are told to learn of and told there is Hope in being free from vanity and the bondage of corruption. The Lord also became a reproach for those of His flesh. Mentioned to my husband last night the verse you brought up on some will awake to everlasting shame and contempt...how could a loving God allow us to build deep connections with so many people and then only part of them do not not wake to everlasting shame and contempt? To think people I love have that awaiting them merely because He has chosen to not call out “Awake up! Come forth and be healed.” And then to think I’ve had any part (when I myself was blind) in causing their destruction...yeah it is disturbing. He says “fear God”...fear the One who is able to save and not destroy. He said it is a promise to give the children ANYTHING we ask for in His name...is it wrong to ask those chosen will be seen as He is ...and cover a multitude?

And, we have not yet reached the end of our journey, Nancy! There is more yet to be received!

You received another gift from Him and so did I. Just this AM, even as you received an ANSWER yesterday, so have I, today. Sometimes it is easy to describe in words our answer and sometimes it simply must seen by those with "eyes to see".

Give God the glory!

I have not failed the test.

His word has already shown me that this is the case; and therefore He has shown me that this is the case.

For I confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh; and I confess that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh.

You confess only one of the two.

I felt compelled to answer you for some reason; but will not be talking to you any more if I can help it.
You apparently are relying on your own understanding of the words alone, for "has" and "is" are the same. This explains a lot. That all is evidence of having His word, but not His spirit.

Keep praying.

Meanwhile, that spirit which accuses, is not His spirit.

Those who fail the test of 1 John 4:1-3, 2 John 1:7 are not to be trusted to give sound doctrine in other matters (Luke 16:10). It is written, "for many false prophets are gone out into the world."

That Spirit which would protect the flock from false prophets, in protecting His flock from their deceptions, is indeed His Spirit.

The Spirit of love is a Spirit that protects and watches over those who may not be able to see the nuances of deception in a false prophet.

You can be certain that I will be watching.

Indeed, God has said in every form to every person, “Awake up! Come forth and be healed.

But this world is a "created" world, a "likeness" (even hypothetical) of that which is true on high. When the word says "It is written", it is not just saying that it is written in the scriptures, but also that these things, this creation, this world, is a form of media with God--that what is real and actual is hidden in God until the end. So do not be dismayed by what seems so real in the world, when in God's reality, we are all mere sketches of what actually is...and none are lost, except the son of perdition.

Pray for one another.

As for my quoting the verse from Daniel regarding us all awaking to the everlasting: It was to point out that contrary to what some teach, we do not awake in our flesh, or even glorified flesh, but rather in the perfection of God whom is spirit, which should be considered more and greater, rather than less, as those who walk in the flesh are prone to think. This they do because the flesh has interpreted what men saw of Jesus' ascension and what the angel of the Lord said, saying the He would return in "like manner." But with those who walk in the flesh, "like manner" is flesh; and yet to those who walk in the spirit "like manner" is spirit. For what is of the spirit, men of flesh cannot see, nor did they...and thus, it has been taught by many incorrectly. But we who are aware of what is flesh and what is spirit, are to increase in knowledge, and discern that Jesus did not ascend as the first Adam (in the flesh), but as the Last Adam (a life-giving spirit).

Pray for one another.

One of His attributes should be Jehovah sneaky
Not sure what you mean unless it is a reference to the coming of Christ for His saints at the Rapture -- suddenly, unexpectedly, and unannounced. That is a long way from Jesus having come in the Spirit already (as falseLY claimed by the OP), when the Second Coming of Christ VISIBLY AND PHYSICALLY is still in the future.

Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. (Rev 1:7)

I know Enoch, I’ll never forget how I wailed , still wailing.
