Really? Since when did you arrive at this conclusion? Just because the Church is metaphorically the temple of the Holy Spirit does not preclude or exclude actual literal, physical, and visible temples. The temple of God is not a building made by human hands.
1. Solomon's temple was built with human hands.
2. Ezra-Nehemiah's temple was built with human hands.
3. Herod's temple was built with human hands.
4. Antichrist's temple will be built with human hands.
5. God's final temple will be built with human hands.
While Stephen and Paul did say (within context) that God does not dwell in temples made with human hands, it was in the context of being the omnipresent Creator ("seeing that He is Lord of Heaven and earth") who cannot be confined to a temple. At the same time the Shekinah glory and presence of God did come into the tabernacle, as well as Solomon's temple, but then departed.
However, God will again come into His temple and sanctuary on earth during and after the Millennium. This is the vision given to Ezekiel for the future (Ezek 44:1,2,4).
Then he brought me back the way of the gate of the outward sanctuary which looketh toward the east; and it was shut. Then said the LORD unto me; This gate shall be shut, it shall not be opened, and no man shall enter in by it; because the LORD, the God of Israel, hath entered in by it, therefore it shall be shut... Then brought he me the way of the north gate before the house: and I looked, and, behold, the glory of the LORD filled the house of the LORD: and I fell upon my face.
