A Fundamentalist (some, not all) worst nightmare...confessing their sin in the light. (In public)

Some Fundamentalist will not dare bring their sins into the light! The rest of us will! There is a lot of self-righteous Fundamentalist on the Christianity Boards. I love you all, but you are in error...you value the Law over the Love of Christ. Don't be self-righteous, instead worship the love of God, his mercy, his grace and UNCONDITIONAL LOVE.....practice Christ-Like Love. This post is for Christians only. I'm not scared in the least to bring my sins into the light. Only Fundamentalist (some) do not do that. Don't keep your sins in darkness where the evil one will get a foothold.

Ps. Watch some of these Fundamentalist (some, not all), they will start posting scripture for defense. Because they are perfect. They have no sins.

I'll take the lead. In My Present:

These may not necessarily break the Law of the 10 Commandments and our Lord will convict me in his time, not your time.

1 I like to drink a few Nyquils before bed when I have a cold/flu (Yikes it has alcohol)
2. I am selfish at times
3. I love the taste of Copenhagen
4. I'm guilty of being obsessed with Jesus Christ as my Savior. (Oops, that is not a sin)
5. I eat PIZZA, WHICH IS SO UNHEALTHY! (Doesn't do the Temple of God well :( , the body)
By the way, I just ate a pizza at 09/27/2019, 1230am eastern time...5lbs overweight (teardrops)
6. Sometimes I get angry and say mean things to my spouse.
7. Sometimes I make promises i do not keep.
8. I sometimes put my boat before God (this makes me very sad)
No one is Perfect. Well Fundamentalist (Some, not all) are....sigh

These definitely break the the law of the 10 commandments!
In my past (while I was still a Christian) I was Guilty of:

1. Adultery
2. Coveting
3. I think I stole a pen from work.
4. I'm sure there were more
I have repented of all these! And only God knows if I will get weak and fall flat on my face again.

Like I said, some Fundamentalist will try and use Law to minimize this post, they are perfect and self-righteous. I will take this back when they admit they are not perfect by naming something they are guilty of?

This is the Real Point "I worship a God Of Love, Not The Law"
"I'm still on that narrow road, and Our Lord is changing me into his Christ Like Image/Mind!"

Some Fundamentalist still haven't listed a sin they are guilty of! They worship the Law and are to FULL OF PRIDE to confess. I practice humility and humbleness. I confess all! (private and public) Search my Heart Lord so that I can Confess. Please Humble those in this forum, that they may confess also. Please destroy their self righteous pride.

Well, we ARE to confess our sins to one another. Presently: I can snap at people...whom I then, almost right away, ask their forgiveness but...I would rather not be snarky with ANYONE! I have no problem having a beer out with a friend when we go for, let's say...PIZZA! Lol. My prayer life falters too much lately as does my bible studying. I spend too much time watching Netflix series back to back. Out of boredom but then, the guilt comes because I find it to be a colossal waste of time when I COULD be seeking Him diligently. I get angry too easy when someone does me wrong...angry by myself, not in front of others as I know THAT would heap guilt on me as...all who know me, know that I go by the Name of Christ and I do not want to bring any bad thing to His Name. I sometimes fall into gossip and usually will walk away from it right away once I see where the conversation is going yet, I can still get caught up in it if not careful with my words. It used to be one of my favorite pass times at work. It is ugly and I HATE it. True or not, Christians should NEVER engage in that kind of thing...we will be judged as we judge others!
In my former life-pretty much broke every commandment, daily and not even realizing how I was sinning! Thank God for saving me from all of that! Hung out in bars right into my 40's...will not go to any bar now unless there is one in a restaurant, no desire at all and that is a miracle in and of itself! I was so selfish in many ways and did not even know it! I had the attitude all of my working life that, "Hey, I worked hard for this money and it is MINE, MINE, MINE! Ha! Everything down here is on loan...God owns ALL things and ALL blessings flow from Him.

Don't you love the self rightous who stand there pointing out the sins of others while proclaming there rightousness.

Just what do you understand to be a fundamentalist?
Historicaly they believed in these issues which presumable you do not believe?

The Historical accuracy of the bible.
The 2nd coming at any momment.
That the virgin birth was real.
That Jesus did die, was burried and that he rose from the dead.
That the attonement is vital for salvation.

Would you please explain which of these basic Christian doctrine you as a non fundamentalist do not believe.

Like the poster above, I'd like to know your definition of 'fundamentalist'.

fyi we aren't under the "law" anymore, and it was given to Israel anyway.

That being said - just because we're under grace, does that mean we continue to sin? May it never be! <Romans 6)

I'm a born-again Christian, not sure how that falls into your definition, but I sin every day. I can be irritable and have to ask God every day to let me be "quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to anger" (James 1:19) There are definitely times where the sins of my tongue are obvious :( but I pray, I repent, I ask for forgiveness and try to be aware of the things I say and how I act.

Do not mistake the righteousness of the new man with the sins of the old man.

If the old man makes a post confessing his sins, he has not put off the old man, nor put those things to death. But if the new man makes a post and claims his righteousness in Christ...he is not in error, but in Christ, having put to death the things he was to put off.

Thus, if the new man is to be called a "Fundamentalist", let him be called good and faithful, for he is in One whom is indeed good and faithful.

I think pizza without beer is sinful!
I've cut back on both, but eliminated neither. I don't consider them sinful, at least not at my present usual rate of consumption.

One of my worst sins these days is to desire to lash out at people on forums who cannot seem to get through their thick head that I am right. Sometimes I yield to the desire and do lash out knowing that it won't edify anyone.

You post, so it is up to you to ensure you post what you want to say.
If you can't write the words you want to say don't post untill you have written the words you want to say.
