I did not delete a post accusing you of denying the divinity of Christ. You have confused what I said about @David Taylor (I said that he did not believe Scripture stated Jesus is God) as being directed to you. Even here I am not claiming David rejects the divinity of Christ.
This is not the first time you have responded out of confusion, Anthony. This has been the major sourse of our disagreement. You get confused. You were not like this a decade ago.
I do not mean this as an insult (unfortunately I know you will take it that way) but have you had a physical lately? I am not the only one concerned that there may be an underlying problem.
Ok…..so here we are:
@David Taylor admits his belief is not actually stated in Scripture but believes that is how “good theology” is done, @Anthony D'Arienzo[/USER] rejects the "literal method" of hermeneutics because it makes God serve a dictionary while giving us "biblical meanings" for words, that the early church fathers were Calvinists, and now they do not even believe Scripture itself states the divinity of Christ.
This is the new “Calvinism”.
This is the old lying JonC...
you said they deny the divinity you liar. I did not imagine it, you posted this slander. ...show where I denied the divinity of Jesus.
Extra-biblical foundational belief, subjective history, liberal hermeneutics, “another” gospel, and a denial that Scripture itself states the divinity of Christ.
I think we are approaching giving pearls to swine.

Are you and him of the same spirit?John Caldwell,
Here is the post, you lying piece of garbage...got you again,
John Caldwell,
Here is the post, you lying piece of garbage...got you again,
Again, I said the text does not explicitly state the exact quotation "Jesus is God." This is the litmus test you put on what Scripture does or does not say about PST and other things is it not?I stand by my claim. You indicated that you do not believe the text of Scripture states Jesus is God. You believe Scripture teaches it, but you claim it is not stated in the text itself.
Did you even bother to read the post before making that accusation???.....
Actually Anthony put in your quote. You said "they" which indicates both me and him. That's not camp behavior, that is a fact. Here is what you said:You tell us you are a minister and I believe you. As a Christian are you going to go along with Anthony's false claim or will you step up and explain our disagreement.
They is plural. If you meant just one person, me, you should have stated that. For someone who chooses words carefully to "be precise" you kinda goofed that one up.@David Taylor admits his belief is not actually stated in Scripture but believes that is how “good theology” is done, @Anthony D'Arienzo rejects the "literal method" of hermeneutics because it makes God serve a dictionary while giving us "biblical meanings" for words, that the early church fathers were Calvinists, and now they do not even believe Scripture itself states the divinity of Christ.
Ok while I hate to admit it, his premise here is correct. HOWEVER, the premise is a lie because I know I never once said that. John is reading into things.Read it again, Anthony.
Does it say you deny the divinity of Christ?
Or does it say you and David have claimed Scripture does not state the divinity of Christ?
No. That is not my litmus test. Scripture was written in Hebrew and Greek. I do not even require the statements to be in one place or use the exact words. But I do expect the words to be in the actuak text and not just implied.Again, I said the text does not explicitly state the exact quotation "Jesus is God." This is the litmus test you put on what Scripture does or does not say about PST and other things is it not?
I think we are talking past each other. I know what you mean, David, but I disagree.Ok while I hate to admit it, his premise here is correct. HOWEVER, the premise is a lie because I know I never once said that. John is reading into things.
That is your opinion.I think we are talking past each other. I know what you mean, David, but I disagree.
PST is not represented in the text of Scripture like the divinity of Christ is represented.
So then I ask you, show the verse that explicitly states, Jesus is God. Since you like to twist it, the Bible definitely teaches this, but it is not in one verse and you have to know the context of what things mean to arrive at this conclusion.No. That is not my litmus test. Scripture was written in Hebrew and Greek. I do not even require the statements to be in one place or use the exact words. But I do expect the words to be in the actuak text and not just implied.
I actually mean "they". @Anthony D'Arienzo stated the same concern you expressed.Actually Anthony put in your quote. You said "they" which indicates both me and him. That's not camp behavior, that is a fact. Here is what you said:
They is plural. If you meant just one person, me, you should have stated that. For someone who chooses words carefully to "be precise" you kinda goofed that one up.
read it, ? I copied and paste it;Did you even bother to read the post before making that accusation???
@Anthony D'Arienzo rejects the "literal method" of hermeneutics because it makes God serve a dictionary while giving us "biblical meanings" for words, that the early church fathers were Calvinists, and now they do not even believe Scripture itself states the divinity of Christ.
okay;Read it again, Anthony.
You stated that yhe doctrine of the Trinity was not stated in the text of Scripture
You made a false accusation. And I suspect you will double down on the lie
I did not use the word censorship liar...I asked if what you posted was in line with the board rules. This is the exact same lie you used when you banned me on bbI actually mean "they". @Anthony D'Arienzo stated the same concern you expressed.
What made Anthony's statement a false accusation was that he accused me (and reported me, although he denies ever requesting censorship) for claiming he denies the divinity of Christ.
This is why Anthony is wrong - I said you both deny "Scripture itself states the divinity of Christ"
Here are a few - John 1:1, John 10:30, John 12:45.So then I ask you, show the verse that explicitly states, Jesus is God. Since you like to twist it, the Bible definitely teaches this, but it is not in one verse and you have to know the context of what things mean to arrive at this conclusion.
I never said you used the word "censorship". But this is not the first time you asked that someone be censored nonetheless.I did not use the word censorship liar...I asked if what you posted was in line with the board rules. This is the exact same lie you used when you banned me on bb
Notice not a single one of those verses explicitly state Jesus is God without bringing in other commentary, verses, etc etc etc. Here are a few - John 1:1, John 10:30, John 12:45.
Show me a verse that, in this same way, states that God punished Jesus instead of punishing us.
