Truly disappointing to the Kingdom of God for you to suggest such a thing. Stephen was stoned to death for making the people of his time angry at the truth. Would your preaching, or lack thereof, anger people to point that they would cause you to be put to death? Go ahead and make excuses by trying to show the differences of these street preachers and Stephen's case to justify yourselves.

Acts 7
[51] Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.
[52] Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers:
[53] Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it.
[54] When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth.
[55] But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,
[56] And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.
[57] Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord,
[58] And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man's feet, whose name was Saul.
[59] And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.
[60] And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.
Talk about taking things out of context! You just won first prize!

How dare you compare that street preacher to Stephen? Stephen was openly manifesting the power of God -- was that street preacher or is he some self-righteous, self-appointed fanatic? Stephen got into trouble, not by preaching to people at random on the street, but by taking on some people from the synagogue who lied about him to get him into trouble after they couldn't defeat him. Get the context because he wasn't ranting randomly at people on the street.

Acts 6:8 And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.
9 Then there arose certain of the synagogue, which is called the synagogue of the Libertines, and Cyrenians, and Alexandrians, and of them of Cilicia and of Asia, disputing with Stephen.
10 And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spake.
11 Then they suborned men, which said, We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses, and against God.
12 And they stirred up the people, and the elders, and the scribes, and came upon him, and caught him, and brought him to the council,
13 And set up false witnesses, which said, This man ceaseth not to speak blasphemous words against this holy place, and the law:

Yes you did indeed try to justify yourself. It won't work because you're not submitting to the full counsel of God. Are you a deceived "sinning" Christian? Are you a "sinner saved by grace" Christian? Willful sin cannot enter Heaven, period. In God's eyes He only sees two types of people: His Saints and the devil's sinners. The Saints of God inherit eternal life while sinners inherit eternal damnation. The good news is that people don't have to remain the devil's sinners. God sets before them life (obedience) or death (sin); choose life.

What are you talking about now? Do I tithe my mint? I'm afraid I don't. Does that make me a sinner in your eyes? Or is not celebrating Halloween enough to get me eternal life?

I guess nothing would please you unless I agreed with 100% of what you believe; and if I don't, then I'm some horrible sinner headed to hell. Go tithe your mint.

I think that I found the crux of the matter: sin. Many professing Christians go on a tirade when you tell them the truth that willful cannot enter Heaven. Only the Saints of God inherit eternal life, not sinners.

Galatians 5
[16] This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
[17] For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
[18] But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
[19] Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
[20] Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
[21] Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Halloween isn't on that list. . . . I'd say that street preacher had some of the things on that list.

Reveling is on that list. Witchcraft is on that list. Sin is the real issue here.
I thought reveling was loud celebrating, often with drinking and dancing. I didn't see anyone "reveling". I also didn't see anyone practicing witchcraft. People may dress up on Halloween; but dressing up like a witch is not the same as being a witch.

Sin should be the issue, I agree. In that video, it wasn't. I saw the so-called Christian creating strife unnecessarily and making Christianity looked crazy.

It's reveling, plain and simple.

Ephesians 5
[10] Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
[11] And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

This is what Halloween celebrates, and they're an abomination to God.

Deuteronomy 18
[9] When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.
[10] There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch,
[11] Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.
[12] For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.
[13] Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God.

If you could make it so by saying it, perhaps; but I'll go with a dictionary definition.

REVEL | definition in the Cambridge English Dictionary

to dance, sing, and enjoy yourself with others in a noisy way

Ephesians 5

[12] For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.
[13] Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God.[/QUOTE]Now we're under the Law of Moses?

That passage was given to Israel, telling them how to behave when they entered the Land of Promise. Does that apply to you or me?

Now, boys, it's not nice to gang up on people. I know all too well what that's like. :(
lol We got him on the run now.....he thinks he is sinless....lol or he thinks he sins and by his own estimation is not going to make it to heaven either because he is sinner...vicious circle if you do not know the truth.

The preacher in the video was using a bullhorn. What do you think of that tactic? He looked like a bully to me; and I have little sympathy for bullies or people who defend them. 07-07-07 can use large letters in bold if he wants.

I was wondering which he considers himself? A saint, or a sinner saved by grace? I must admit the phrase, "a sinner saved by grace", perplexes me. Is it found in the Bible? What does it mean?

I know about bullies too. Some of the nicest people can be bullies sometimes.

(I edited this comment for clarity.)

Just about the time you think you have the higher theological points down.....they trip you up by throwing in the simplest of terms .....grace...definition of the word....
By God's love we are saved.

You guys going to talk around me like I'm a little gnat or something? I am a daughter of the Most High God!

I've only ever put one person on ignore. That doesn't include either of you (even though your comments tempt me at times, Giuliano).

Many biblical concepts are assigned labels or terms that don't appear in the Bible. But you don't confine your beliefs to the Bible, so why does it matter to you?

That was directed more at Giuliano than at you, Grailhunter. I think you could teach him a few things about being a gentleman.;)
