This is a question I receive a lot, most of the time in good faith, and decided to post a video about it. Anyone have anything to add to the discussion? I'd love to hear from others and their experience with this question.

May the Lord ad His blessing to His Word!

Yes! I bring up this idea for those who find it hard to find a local church and wonder what they should do. In practical application today is makes sense to call congregating church, but what is really important is getting together in fellowship with others in Christ

or at least making sure that that is what it is called, yeh? For those who believe that it makes sense to call congregating with (if i may suggest) virtual strangers "church?" Which dont get me wrong no one here has been to more congs than me i bet lol

I know of many mature Christians who, like me, have grown so disenchanted with the many denominations of Christendom that they have concluded that 'the day of churches', might well have passed (at least for them). There is even one denomination that proclaims that to have dispensationally occurred some 100 odd years ago.
For my part I long for a particular style of collective worship, but its gone 'out of fashion' and I simply can no longer find it.
In consequence trolling around the only alternatives that I can find does me more harm than good.
I almost envy those who are so entrenched in their own various denominations that they know little of what goes on elsewhere and find the fellowship and spiritual uplift that they need where they are
I used to lean on the following little poem that I once wrote

THE CALL OF THE CHURCH BELLS TO TRUE WORSHIP

Onto my shoulders the weight of my cross, heavier grows as I learn, that the music that thrills my Master's heart is not that for which I might yearn. It's to stay where I'm put and not forge a new berth; revelling in what I see wrong. But to honour the lesser vessels of faith in the Body to which I belong. So I take up my cross, where it's hardest to bare. To the nearst church of my King.
Not seeing the name the entitles the door.
If it's where I hear that bell ring.

It is a very old illustration, but still valid.
If a burning coal falls out of the fire, how long will it remains hot burning coal?
The place for burning coals is in the fire.

A challenge for all 'mature' Christians who will not attend church is not do you get out of church but what do you contribute.

When the Sheep are being Fed by the true Shepherd they will never hunger or thirst.

Joh_4:14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
Joh_6:35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

As for dying Embers, that Spirit that God gives the fire that burns within, will never die.

Joh_10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
Joh_10:29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

You can be in a church filled with people and still that ember can die, a flame without fuel cannot burm.

Very true, yet...as AngelBand said in his vid, some "Church's" are like walking into a big freezer, lol...my last Church was just like that, very un-welcoming! Tried as I might, could not seem to warm up to them, or they me. I love the idea of a home Church, always have yet-I still attend an organized Church building as my youngest sister is coming with me now and, I do not want to rock the boat, so to speak. My prayers for her over the last 3 years have been often and fervent that she would submit to God. I am still kind of pinching myself that she is still coming after 6 months! I enjoy my little bible study far more than the Church building with people who don't seem interested in getting to know others. I know that if I did not have at least that, I could burn out. :)

Perhaps the internet is the answer? Having said that, I have just left a godless forum.
What has Christ got to do with forum. Jesus is into people not religion or forums. But He can use what is available.

Hmm....this does seem to be a Protestant issue.....

Presenting the world with a weird hatefulness of church and then wondering why you churches are dying and Americans are involved in strange spirituality on their own

And you seem to have found another one.

what are you basing your opinion on, David? It does seem that you have alienated yourself here....I haven’t been following your posts so I am not sure why.

perhaps a do over is in order?
