Jane,
I talked to Mormons in Utah, Idaho, Arizona, Ohio, Georgia and Long Island.....you are not posting consistent with what they teach
(fify)

Exactly. This Is what Mormons do, well known fact, they outright deny what they know they teach, or, they are unaware of what their manmade religion actually teaches. It is not Christian whatsoever.

I agree. I don't often see scriptures such as this from you fellas...
KJV Jeremiah 29
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
All around that text, and I mean all around it is Gods wrath and judgment. Use context. Also in the context of Jeremiah Jesus is YHWH.

Exactly! But he wants to cherry pick that verse out and then divorce it from the preceding and proceeding verses.

GOD poured out his own WRATH on HIS SON!!

Voddie Baucham.."Our culture, Jesus just wants a friendship and relationship with you....you are breaking his heart. NO, HE IS GONNA BREAK YOU!"

Revelations 19: 11-16
11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written,
KING OF KINGS, AND Lord OF LORDS.

Voddie Baucham, "God doesn't need you. When you die, the world is gonna keep on spinning and SOMEBODY is gonna get ALL YOUR STUFF!" (family included)

..............10 min sermon, very powerful and humbling message

The Lord Jesus Christ ONLY, is Worthy of all our Praise and Worship!
Eternity is a Very long Time!
Satan Loves Distractions and Wants Christians To Just Die!!

I didn't watch the video, but just wanted to make one comment. We get into trouble when we ignore certain aspects of God. He IS love, AND He is wrathful. Part of preaching the Good News, that Jesus died for our sins so that we don't have to suffer in hell for eternity, is preaching the "bad news," that the wages of sin is death and that those who refuse God's provision for forgiveness will suffer in hell. How would it be loving to withhold the Good News or the bad news??

John 3:36-- The one who believes in the Son has eternal life, but the one who refuses to believe in the Son will not see life; instead, the wrath of God remains on him.

Actually: LDS Christians don't believe that there's any special relationship between Christ and Lucifer that doesn't apply also to every other person.

Judging on bad information doesn't make any sense.
Oh stop with your campaign of being disingenuous. More #fakenews from you.

But no matter what facts are show you concerning your false religion, you deny them. For the record LDS aren't Christians.

Not that you'll own up, this is for whomever has eyes to see and ears to hear:

How can Jesus and Lucifer be spirit brothers when their characters and purposes are so utterly opposed?

The "christ" of the Mormon cult is not the Christ of God or Scripture.

Astonishing Conversation with Mormons

The irony here is in the mirror. "Anti-cultists" (such as Jeff Durban) aren't remotely interested in getting there facts straight, and instead rely on bad information for sensationalism and encourage thier followers just to believe them instead of real fact checking and actually treating the people they claim to love as people.

Tell me @Preacher4Truth: what do you believe make a person a Christian? Not what you think I believe. What what do you believe make a person a Christian?

You've never talked to me. You've only talk at me. And when I don't confirm all of that junk you've heard from "anti-cultists", there's accusations of lying. There's no listening on you part, no actual conversation.

Again: I don't care one squat if you disagree with my actual beliefs. But telling someone they need to quit believing something they never believed in the first place is idiotic. It's not preaching, it's not defending the faith, it's just dumb and conveniences LDS Christians the person talking at them doesn't know Christ at all.

Oh yes, the classic technique: "Only I the anti-cultist can tell you what Bob actually believes. Bob doesn't really know- doesn't matter if he's actually studied things- that's not important. And if he tells you otherwise, he's lying! Only I the anti-cultist can tell you what Bob really believes-, follow me!"

Again: the irony here is in the mirror. I don't know about you, but I run a MILLION miles away from any person whom tries to pull that act on me or anyone else. Instead, I'm going to listen, actually visit on a pew, study the entirety of material first hand, etc to understand ANY belief system.

Jane,
P4T has done a good thing in offering the teaching of Pastor Durbin for you and other Mormons to consider.
I have listened to several of these interactions and pastor Durbin , and members of that church are faithful to proclaim the truth in Love to all people, even Mormons.

You ask what is it to be a Christian?

it is to have the correct and biblical Jesus, and embrace what he taught, and what he died to accomplish.

Not the false images of a false Jesus , and a false gospel of works;
2 Corinthians 11 King James Version (KJV)
11 Would to God ye could bear with me a little in my folly: and indeed bear with me.

2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.
This can only happen if the Spirit gives a person a new heart!
Do not look for a burning in the bosom, look to have God have mercy on you and allow you to welcome all aspects of truth.

Listen to the links provided, listen to all of them.
If you believe they are in error, explain where you find such error,at what part of the message and offer scriptural correction.

(Rearranging quotes slightly so I can reply to the same group of points together. I'm going to split it into two posts)

thanks for posting these fine messages P4T.
many Mormons have come to truth as a result of the truth being proclaimed, and if God is merciful many will will be drawn savingly to Him.
I have, and checked actually first-hand sources, etc.

And it amazes me how Jeff Durban and "anti-cultist" sources, including can't be bothered to 2) get things actually correct, 2) don't want you to fact check yourself, and 3) don't actually want to talk about that person's relationship with Christ. They give lip service to it, but not really- they'd rather talk about anything else.

And the only thing an LDS Christian walks away from these destructive conversations are the impressions evangelicals don't love them, don't love Christ, are modalists, believe in cheap grace, have all these extra requirements for salvation, and don't care what devil's tactics they use. That's the actual impressions people walk away with. Which of course, having fact checked the Evangelicals camp, aren't the actual facts of what Evangelicals believe either. But it's the message these destructive conversations convey.

it is to have the correct and biblical Jesus, and embrace what he taught, and what he died to accomplish.
Breaking this down--
"it is to have the correct and biblical Jesus": where does it say this in the Bible.

"correct and biblical": define. Must I embrace the Athanasian Creed written in 500 AD to qualify? Or do you mean acknowledging Christ as the one and only divine Son fo God, through whom all men are saved? The Jesus Christ whom is one person, the Father being another person, the Spirit being another person, and them all being One God.

"embrace": do you actually mean this? Because LDS Christians do. We're not supposed to just give lip service, but to actually get up, walk, and follow Him. All of course, empowered by Him.

I, and other Christians of all stripes, desire a saving relationship with Christ. Salvation is not about passing a scantron theology test, or hollow works. But accepting Christ, embracing Him with your heart, mind, might, and soul. Being reborn in Him.

Jane you were asked to offer biblical correction, and you have offered nothing from scripture.
You make comments, but do not give anything specific,for example;

Do you believe Elohim came from Kolub?

What is your understanding of Kolub?

Did Jesus create everything?

Is Lucifer a created angel from his beginning until now?

Do you have a source for what you claim is true Mormon doctrine?

Do you believe laminites and Nephites existed in America?

Do you believe Jesus appeared to them after His ascension?

Do you believe the angel "moroni" appeared to Joseph Smith, in upstate NY.?

What do you believe is taught in doctrines and covenants on the new birth?

Could you offer explicit quotes from approved Mormon sources?
