This is to me an exciting time for those of us who are believers to not only speak out about our faith to those around us who are afraid and maybe struggling financially or are facing financial woes, but to simply live out our lives daily totally dependant on God, in a happy unafraid attitude in joy and peace, knowing our heavenly Father will care for us.

We are not afraid and are still enjoying life because our God will provide as he has promised He would.

If your a younger Christian who hasn't got to that point of believing yet, like I was at one time, believe the rest of us who are there as an encouragement to you, that our God is a loving Father and we can live courageously and be at peace in His care.

But what if God allows me to get sick and die?? Did He lie to us??
NO!! Whenever Jesus prayed, He always said, ">> "Not my will but Thine be done."

Paul said, "that to live is Christ, but to die (In Christ) is gain. Whether we live or die we are His."

So what do we have to lose??

No matter if we live or die we will be with Him.

So let's speak out in courage and live courageously for Christ and all those around us so that some may be saved.

So God bless you all, as we walk in faith, and share our faith with the world around us.

Amen to this!

Note: that doesn't mean that we don't still wash hands, stay home, watch bills closely, etc -- we do still use the brains God gave us and be stewards of our lives. But we also have that faith & trust in God as we weather through this storm.

I understand your concern. I too have children and adult none believers in my life that I pray for, but know I could lose them. Friends , neighbors and family members who have chosen NOT to believe, that losing them would bring me great heart ache like when I lost a best childhood friend and then lost my mom and grandma,
but my topic was about who we can be to EVERYONE around us in our confident faith for their sakes who are afraid and struggling and be able to support them courageously.

God bless you and may you be safe in Christ

Well after the nearly zero response, I guess most here are afraid to get real about their faith because there just here playing games and have no clue what it means to be called by God to get real in your faith ...if you actually have one, and would rather just find topics that you can talk about that are safe and you don't actually have to step out and get real about.

Only problem is that God already knows who you are, so you can come here and pretend in front of all of us, but the GOD who knows your heart you can't fool.

He may ask you or me to step up and die of the virus for your faith, I wonder how many here are willing to do that for another human being like Jesus did.

Anyway, I think I've wasted my time here long enough with people who just came here to ACT like the know something they know nothing about, and would certainly never do anything in terms of dying if called to.

These days with the coronavirus being about as real as it will ever get. A lot of people have already disappeared here. I wonder how many more will??
Jesus was right when He said "FEW" would ever enter the KINGDOM OF HEAVEN.

Many men of great faith, and some of questionable faith, went through many hardships throughout their lives. Abraham and his family suffered famine in Canaan, and thus moved to Egypt. Jacob and his family went through the same tribulation. David was incessantly tormented by lethal threats around him, by Saul, his children, and the surrounding nations. In Paul's time, Christians suffered persecution, and those in Jerusalem, were stricken with a famine also. And after the apostolic age, the martyrdom of many faithful men was prevalent.

In this life we will be beset with suffering and tragedy, for it belongs to the prince of this world. Happiness must be sought elsewhere. We don't know whether we will overcome the trials and tribulations that God has allowed us to undergo, for our peace and contentment should never be derived from secular, or temporal affections.

Of course, in my mind, this is an extremely loft ideal, and requires a great deal of wisdom and faith to transcend both the physical, and the immediate circumstances that define our current existence.
Wisdom and prayer must play a big part in a Christian's maturity and edification, and then consequently, his peace, under any situation or predicament.

Don't have a clue what that means. Too many strange idea's out there all my 76 years.
Just stayed with the scriptures and studying them for over 40 years and they have taught me well
through prayer and the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Nothing like just the scriptures, prayer, and the Holy Spirits super-natural guiding and leading to find Gods truth, not man's opinions.

Thanks so much Dave for stopping by and may the Lord bless you richly.

most people who study scripture have a thought on the timing of the rapture. and that is what I was speaking of.

Talking isn't necessary, how you live speaks louder. Witness always and use words if you must

Gotcha :)
Still not a clue except scripture says no one knows, even the angels long to know.
To me that's why we need to take to heart God's warnings, like the thief in the night and others, and to be prepared.
We could die in a car wreck, from coronavirus, or so many other things, and so to speak the rapture has come to you, and timing never mattered but being prepared did.

God bless you

Great OP. Just saw this one, but,
"that to live is Christ, but to die (In Christ) is gain. Whether we live or die we are His."
this is one of the keys that separate the disciple, from the disciple indeed. scripture, Matthew 10:33 "But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 10:34 "Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 "For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 "And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
Matthew 10:37 "He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
Matthew 10:38 "And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
Matthew 10:39 "He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

yes, these are exciting times to be christians in the world today. the life one leads is really under the microscope. where as the world use to read you the christian, now they are following YOU the disciple indeed.

Good topict SbG, it's need at this time of crisis .... for some.

if the people dont know about Jesus can they be saved?

How can they know about Jesus with out words?
Jesus ways with our words we speak life, or death. As written.

Healing graciously, His Way, is rarely seen on earth today, as written. As seen with this globally now, the enemy is getting his way for a while....
