Why did you post this in the non-Christian sub-forum? For non-Christians like me, this is kinda nuts. A one-world religion implemented by the Vatican because of a virus? Huh? o_O
Don't worry. In times like these there will be the doom merchants who will add 1 plus 1 equals 5 and come up with all sorts of wacky stuff so they can be seen and heard.

Going into isolation to prevent others being infected, or being infected yourself is just plain common sense. But we have people who have presumption instead of faith, and instead of being sensible, they decide to test God through their presumption that they will not get infected if they decide not to isolate themselves. This is not faith - it is testing God, and it will be their own silly fault if they refuse to follow the government's directives.

The real problem that these disobedient hockey pucks will cause is that if they become inflected, they will infect others, and possibly cause the deaths of some. This is not being faithful to God, but being totally irresponsible.

Having to be obedient to the government's requirements during a lockdown will not result in a police state at all, and nothing will be done against Christian believers who are obedient to their civil authorities in this matter.

I have absolutely no sympathy for any professing Christian who is arrested and imprisoned for violating any requirement during a state of emergency where there are restrictions place on people for the sake of public safety.

... starting with those who FALSELY ascribe Daniel's 9th Chapter "seven and sixty-two" as though it were one number. -- If they can't get the SIMPLE, how will they grasp the COMPLEX?!?
Silly people,
Bobby Jo
Can you correctly discern who does what in the 70 weeks, that are determined, and when that already took place?
Dan. 9[24] Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
[25] Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
[26] And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself:

and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

[
27] And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

7 weeks + 62 weeks + one week = 70 weeks

I suppose it depends on how 'public safety' is interpreted. In a world where interpretation is a slippery business with the spirit of the law violated so that the letter of the law can be exploited...where language is deliberately used to deceive the unsuspecting and power is exercised over the innocent under the guise of helping them.....one must be awake!

True. But in the present situation where the present virus could be lethal to over 70 year olds, would you want to risk being a carrier of the virus and causing someone to die of it?

Yep. TURN IN ALL YOUR FIREARMS, -- it's for PUBLIC SAFETY. Now come and take an oath and accept the one-world-electronic-currency, -- it's for PUBLIC SAFETY.

And YOU DESERVE IMPRISONMENT if you fail to obey. Yeah, not.

Just saw where a Virginia pastor who previously said COVID-19 was overblown by the media in order to hurt Trump, has died from the virus.

Viruses don't care about conspiracy theories.

LOL!!!! This is all going to happen!! One world religion! Economic doom! Forced vaccinations! Euthanasia!

.....maybe....we'll see.
As I did interject into "Brakelite's" thinking, its NOT going to be about "religion", or a specific Religion, as to how most people think about that word!
No!! Its about "Save the Planet"!!

You think not??
LOL!! I dare anyone one of you, for whatever your "Religion" is, to say to your family, friends, neighbors, community and/or local government, that you refuse to take any action to "Save the Planet", and then to speak out against it!
You can't do that and you won't do it,...unless you are a Born Again Christian (John 3:3-8).

Why?
Ans. Saving the earth appeals to "the NATURAL man", and all of such want this world to go on forever.
1 Corinthians 2
[14] But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

And what is one thing,THAT IS OF the Spirit/mind of God?
Ans. 2 Peter 3:10-13.

So then, ARE YOU "hasting unto the Day of God"?
If so, then you should be able to fully understand verses 12-13.
IF NOT, then you will comply with satan's program to "Save the Planet". After all, it is his only home, and he plans to defend it with everyone, who does not belong to Christ. Romans 8:8-9
IOWs, this failing world will be all that you will ever have. It has an eternal end of being destroyed, and so shall you!
2 Thessalonians 2:10....because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
[11] And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

If you ARE NOT looking for and hoping for a new heaven and a new earth, that God promised, then you are cherishing this old one, and therefore you do not love the things that are of God!!

So you won't mind if I buy the property next to you and start dumping mercury, burning tires, and storing nuclear waste. After all, stopping me would be trying to save the planet!

Pastor: At least 10 who attended Glenview church service get coronavirus

"An estimated 43 people, more than half the people who attended a service March 15 at The Life Church of Glenview, are sick and at least 10 have tested positive for COVID-19, Pastor Anthony LoCascio confirmed Thursday evening.

"A lot of people are sick," said LoCascio, who says 11 days after starting to feel ill he still has a persistent cough. "My whole family has the same symptoms."

He estimated that 43 people had symptoms but only about a dozen had been tested for COVID-19. Eighty were at the service, he said.

"Everybody who's getting tested have tested positive," for COVID-19, he said. "A lot of people weren't able to get tested," he added."

His excuse for holding the event despite the pandemic?

"LoCascio, who has been pastor at the Life Church for 11 years, said he thought about whether to hold the service. But at the time, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases was low and a stay-at-home order had not yet been imposed. Plus, he had an out-of-town speaker coming.

"We had a guest speaker. We were promoting it," he said. "We made the announcement, 'If you're sick, stay home.' We didn't know. No one knew."

No one knew about the risks on March 15? Where had he been?

People who think the earth is flat say the exact same things.

I gotta say, I underestimated just how crazy this forum is. I don't know if it's that the pandemic brought the loonies out or what, but I'm not even sure what to post here anymore. Some of y'all are nuts.
Your conclusion is based on an assumption, derived from a form of truth that you live by.

Conspiracy theories are a two way street.
1. History reveals that "authority" says only that which they want the people to know. That is a conspiracy against the people.

2. History reveals that if the people say contrary to that which is said by "authority", that is a conspiracy against "authority".

No, it's based on what I see in the real world (overlap between flat-earth arguments and those from conspiracy theorists).

Okay then.

What you shall do on your own property is your business!
If you violate the ordinance of "magistrates"
(Titus 3:1), then you will have to deal with them, not me!

As Christians, we are to be "good stewards" of the Grace the God, that He has provided through His Son.
1 Corinthians 4
[1] Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.
[2] Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.
1 Peter 4
[9] Use hospitality one to another without grudging.
[10] As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

Although many would have you to believe contrary, Christians are not to be "caretakers" of this earth, but abide by the ordinances of magistrates, in good conscience.

So you're the type of Christian who believes trashing the environment is just fine. Man this forum is something else!

For you to say THAT, means that you do not understand Titus 3:1 or
1 Peter 2[13] Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;
[14] Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.
[15] For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:
[16] As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.
[17] Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.

So if your political leaders put protecting the environment near the top of their priorities, you'll follow along, right?

Fear is a product of unbelief....put any fearful thought into captivity and put His Word in your mouth and let His Word be your confession.

Psalm 91 is an excellent chapter to read and confess daily and when fear tries to enter your mind read it out loud and remind yourself He puts His angels charge over you to protect you.

Psalm 91 King James Version (KJV)
91 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

9 Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;

10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

And remember His Word is LIFE..
Romans 3:3-4
3 For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?

4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.

(Don't let the words out of mans mouth be your truth....trust in His Word and His Word alone)

Philippians 4:6-8
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

(take your thoughts and your fears to God and put it in His hands and let His peace enter in your heart and mind).

God Bless

Fear is a product of unbelief....

Hi H2S,

... and it's also a product of the unknown. For example, some CORRECTLY fear water because they haven't learned to swim; some CORRECTLY fear electricity because they haven't learned it's limitations; some CORRECTLY fear firearms because they haven't been taught their use; and some fear BIBLE PROPHECY because they have no Scriptural/Historical perspective.

It seems to me that MANY fears are justified, including performing a simple appendectomy, if not properly trained. It's simply a matter of learning the respective subject, and applying one's self. It's called LIFE! :)

But GOD gives us boldness to face our challenges, new everyday!

He tells us over and over to fear not....even the unknown....however He tells us to be wise as a serpent and gentle as a dove. So wisdom, not fear, tells us to be aware of our surroundings and the possible dangers in it.
So if you don't know how to swim avoid deep waters.

Edit: adding to this we can learn from Job who said that thing I feared the most has come upon me.
I honestly believe fear opens the door for Satan to manifest our fears in our lives.
