Being an agnostic, which means that you are saying you don't really know either way, I can't see how you can be so definite that I am wrong, and that the sources I am quoting are wrong, because by your own definition, you can't really know whether I and my sources are right or wrong. Therefore you can't confidently say whether my views are silly or not because you actually don't know.
Now, if you were an atheist, then, yes, you can say that I am silly in my opinions, and I would understand that you would certainly believe it; but that doesn't mean that I have to believe what you are saying.
There's your first problem, believing that I think your talking points and sources about evolution are wrong simply because I'm an agnostic. You're ignoring the fact that
some of your fellow Christians also think your talking points and sources are wrong.
I had two days of debating with those atheist people, and constantly asked them to provide at least just one small piece of actual observable evidence that the evolutionary process is true science, and none of them could, just the same as no one on this forum could either.
This is amazing. Over and over and over and over and over and over so many different people, including Christians, tried and tried to get you to stop making two fundamental mistakes: 1) science doesn't "prove" things, and 2) an event doesn't have to be directly observed or replicated in a lab to be scientifically studied. I even tried to get you to understand #2, but obviously I wasted my time.
Did you notice how many times different people speculated that you might be a "Poe"? Do you appreciate what that means? It means they were seriously wondering if you weren't a non-Christian who was just making stupid arguments in order to make Christians look ridiculous.
That's how bad your arguments are.
I don't know why you are so impervious to learning even the most basic, fundamental things. Are you afraid? Are you afraid that if you allow someone to change your mind on one tiny little thing, that might lead to changing your mind on bigger things?
All one could do was to send me an image of a whole range of skull fossils to demonstrate the development of apes to humans, but when I checked it out from a scientist who showed a video where he examined each one, he was able to show that the ape skulls were totally different from the human ones, and was able to show that the range and sizes of the human ones were more from environmental and cultural groups rather than any development from apes to humans. In fact all the human skulls were definitely human, and the ape ones were definitely ape, and there were no skulls that filled the gap between ape and human. So that answered the question for me and showed a complete absence of proof that humans developed from apes.
You're
still repeating the same basic mistake (science = proof).
It was only when we got to the stage when the atheists had run out of answers and they knew that I was not going to be defeated in the debate, one of the reported one of my posts to get me shut down.
Because they really thought you were just a troll, and you did nothing to dissuade them from that.
That's what happens when atheists don't want to admit that they could be wrong - they resort to insult, abuse, and false accusation, and when that doesn't work, they find a minor issue in a post and go bleating to the moderators that they have been unfairly flamed. Never mind that they had blatantly flamed, insulted, abused and ridiculed me in a number of their posts!
What happens is, you make terribly ignorant arguments about science, then at first some people try and help you by noting your errors and explaining the basics to you. You ignore it all and just keep making the same ignorant arguments. Then you declare victory.
At that point you are inviting people to call you names. It's like the old saying, "If you don't like being called stupid, stop saying stupid things".
So, unless you can come up with definite proof that the evolutionary process is real science, then don't try me on because you will never win with me!
There's another mistake. I have absolutely no interest in trying to convince you that evolution is real science. I don't even think such a thing is possible, given the religious implications this has for you.
All I tried to do was help you stop making arguments that are, to put it bluntly, very stupid. Unfortunately you ignored everything I posted to you and just went to a different place and made the same stupid arguments all over again.
That's your choice for sure, but I wonder if you understand just how much damage you're doing to Christianity's reputation when you behave like that. Or maybe you simply don't care.
Like I said before, it makes no difference to me. It's not my faith you're harming.
