In the book of Hebrews in the New Testament, is written a lot (enough?) about how to have the conscience cleansed. A clear and clean conscience IN GOD'S PRESENCE, and all day, all night, every day like the Ekklesia did in the NT and later (thru this century, every century, though rare; until Jesus Returns).

If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.
1 Corinthians 13:1-3

If somebody is not showing the fruit of the Spirit in their lives then how can they claim to have the Holy Spirit living in them? They are like the religious leaders in Jesus' day and he called them hypocrites.

Where ?

He continues to be one of God's Great Examples of a faithful man, and a King God Appointed, the man after God's Own Heart.
Read David's story. Do you know how many times king Saul wanted to kill him?

Bitter and broken, angry at the world.
I read it thru and thru, with all the Bible, all of it, many times.

He was not broken, bitter nor angry at the world, (almost never anyway)

So that's why I was asking - you appear to have construed his thoughts incorrectly, and his feelings/ if /as revealed and if shown in Scripture.

Almost never? Most pairs of shoes do not last long.

So you never showed King David, before nor after He became King,

to be as you said (or claimed) he was......

I don't believe you can show King David as you posted, ever.

It appears that someone read you fictitious stories that you believed, because you trusted them.

Psalm 3
1 Lord, how are mine adversaries increased? how many rise against me?
2 Many say to my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.
3 But thou Lord art a buckler for me, my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.
4 I did call unto the Lord with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy mountain. Selah.
5 I laid me down and slept, and rose up again: for the Lord sustained me.
6 I will not be afraid for ten thousand of the people, that should beset me round about.
7 O Lord, arise: help me, my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheekbone: thou hast broken the teeth of the wicked.
8 Salvation belongeth unto the Lord, andthy blessing is upon thy people. Selah.

This is PERFECT SCRIPTURE, and SHOWS THE Opposite Attitude in King David, Declared By King David, Inspired Word of God as well,
then you claimed in your post about King David. (quoted below)

What you posted, not at all King David's Attitude, not one of the three - not bitter, not broken, not angry at the world.

Bitter and broken, angry at the world.

I would not interpret this as showing David was bitter, broken or angry with the world, I doubt he liked the situation he was in , but he trusted the Lord within what he faced.
I possibly would consider that David was broken when everything happened with bethsheba and his son died, but then I don’t interpret being broken as a sin, more a natural reaction when we face the consequences and reality of what sin brings into our lives, and of course the reality of the pain and grief of loss

Appointed, the man after God's Own Heart

“...After God’s own heart” David knew he would see corruption and needed to be after Gods own heart. The NT says to follow after the Spirit, to seek after God’s own heart, and not after the flesh in that which can be corrupted.

Ezekiel 18:29-31 Yet saith the house of Israel, The way of the Lord is not equal. O house of Israel, are not my ways equal? are not your ways unequal? [30] Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord God. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin. [31] Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel?

Ezekiel 36:26-27 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. [27] And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

What does it mean to be after God’s own heart. 1 Corinthians 2:16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

My dear, if a person in all truth has the Spirit of God it will be manifest in patience and love, in humility rather than pride, in a willingness to learn rather than being unteachable.

Regarding discerning the Spirits, Jesus gave the formula 'you will know them by their fruits'. We need not get ourselves in a flap when those claiming to have God's Spirit reveal an attitude contrary to it. We can know it for ourselves all the while asking for wisdom and discernment and the ability to love those less lovely.

Revelation 11:1-13 Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)

11 I was given a measuring rod like a stick and told, “Get up, and measure the Temple of God and the altar, and count how many people are worshipping there! 2 But the court outside the Temple, leave that out; don’t measure it; because it has been given to the Goyim, and they will trample over the holy city for forty-two months.
3 “Also I will give power to my two witnesses; and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, dressed in sackcloth.” 4 These are the two olive trees and the two menorahs standing before the Lord of the earth. 5 If anyone tries to do them harm, fire comes out of their mouth and consumes their enemies — yes, if anyone tries to harm them, that is how he must die. 6 They have the authority to shut up the sky, so that no rain falls during the period of their prophesying; also they have the authority to turn the waters into blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague as often as they want.
7 When they finish their witnessing, the beast coming up out of the Abyss will fight against them, overcome them and kill them; 8 and their dead bodies will lie in the main street of the great city whose name, to reflect its spiritual condition, is “S’dom” and “Egypt” — the city where their Lord was executed on a stake. 9 Some from the nations, tribes, languages and peoples see their bodies for three-and-a-half days and do not permit the corpses to be placed in a tomb. 10 The people living in the Land rejoice over them, they celebrate and send each other gifts, because these two prophets tormented them so.
11 But after the three-and-a-half days a breath of life from God entered them, they stood up on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them. 12 Then the two heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here!” And they went up into heaven in a cloud, while their enemies watched them. 13 In that hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city collapsed. Seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the rest were awestruck and gave glory to the God of heaven.

A Prophetic Warning About the False Gospel of the Seeker-Friendly ‘Church’ Movement
A sober and prophetic warning from David Wilkerson about the false gospel of the 'seeker-friendly church' movement that is poisoning the Church, and that is continuing to spread throughout every denomination on every continent. First promoted by well-known 'pastors' such as Bill Hybels (Willow Creek Association), Rick Warren (Saddleback Church), Jack Hayford (Church on the…"
