His judgment will be in accordance with His revealed word, see John 12:48.

It most certainly does. Only when I am speaking in conjunction with His word.

You can be certain that the demons are aware of who I am. I say this not in pride, but based on the fact that I have cast them out before.

He is.

It is certainly not harvest time yet, in the sense of final judgment. But we can know from scripture what the judgment of the Lord is, based on what He spoke; whether out of His own mouth or by His Spirit in the epistles and Revelation and the Old Testament. Again, John 12:48.

Now as to whether the harvest is near, consider:

Jhn 4:34, Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.
Jhn 4:35, Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.

And if we don't do the harvesting, who will?

Jhn 4:36, And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.
Jhn 4:37, And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth.
Jhn 4:38, I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours
.
Over your head!
Give God the glory!

Addressing the original post also based on the above verses. He is talking to the Pharisees because they do not believe that he is the Messiah. Thus has nothing to do with the requirements for salvation.
Mark 16:16 "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned."

now if someone say, that's not in the original text, well lets make it simple, John 3:18 "He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."

and the Lord said, John 5:39 "Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me."
eternal life is salvation for us.

If a person is unaware of the fact that Jesus is God, I can see your point.

But if they become aware of it as fact and then go about rejecting it as a doctrine, that is another thing.
This is the point, isn't it? It also applies to your position! Go back to I Corinthians chapter 13 and keep going back...

Bro...I have spent 2 decades in the deliverance ministry [casting out demons] and they are not afraid of me but they are terrified of the Holy Spirit dwelling in me. The Spirit that once hovered over the surface of the waters in the beginning....

Please put this in context. Again, he is talking to the Pharisees. Why? because they did not believe that he was the Messiah. The coming one. That is what they [the Jews] have been waiting for and they did not recognise him.

The Messiah of the Jewish people will have His name among other things be the everlasting Father; and i don't think that the Jews were unaware of this.

Try to preach this to a mature Christian and they may understand you but possibly disagree because they know their word. Try to preach it to a new believer and they wouldn't know what you are talking about bro....o_O

A mature Christian will know that 1 Timothy 4:16 is in the word and therefore in knowing their word they would agree with me.

A new believer would catch on eventually, because I bring the scriptures to bear on everything I say.

my only contention with you is that you don't seem to take John 8:24 at face value.

I'm afraid you're going to have to be more specific if you don't want your point to be lost on me.

And I was also agreeing with you.

I don't agree with the emphasis you are placing on this verse because again, Jesus was talking to the Pharisees but what I understand is that you are saying is "All men must take what he said to the Pharisees, to heart" and It's not true.

2Ti 3:16, All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

What Jesus said to the Pharisees is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness.

ha well that isnt showing up in my search, dunno
what did the Roman Centurion believe?
Agree Byrd, yes in Matt 27:54

ο δε εκατονταρχος και οι μετ αυτου τηρουντες τον ιησουν ιδοντες τον σεισμον
και τα γινομενα εφοβηθησαν σφοδρα λεγοντες αληθως θεου υιος ην ουτος
"Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching
Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done,
they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God." (KJV)

Indeed, the soldier believed that Jesus is the Son of God, not that he was God, of another form of himself, in the form of a human Son called Jesus. Can you imagine if you were standing next to this Centurion when he spoke these words of Truth. I don't think he was saying this man on the cross was God Almighty.

And Bryd, for those that spout out: John 8:24. It says that you shall die in your sins if you do not believe, I (am) (he) the Son of God, definitely NOT God Almighty or God the Son by somehow forcing the OT Exodus Hebrew to English translation "I will be who I will be." or "I am who I am." These are completely two different meanings in different original languages. And to think this error made by most, still persists!

Many do not realize again, Bryd, that the latter (the OT Exodus phrase) is the personal name of the LORD and the former in John is the common Greek expression for "I am" or "I am he" regarding ANYONE for the subject at hand...ie. that Jesus is saying he is the Son of God... and NOTHING else. The context here was to believe he was from God his Father and that to receive eternal life was to believe in who he was; the man Jesus, the Christ, the Son of God. It would be wild and very irresponsible, even on an intellectual level to believe he was saying he is the God over all creation...let scripture, with context and words understanding, read itself, without adding in any man-made theories that then haves to be defended for life....in futility.

On target again Bryd

How is the garlic working out for you....I always use it and other things to keep my health up..

How many people do you know @amadeus who are baby Christians and who have their theology correct. How many baby christians do you know, have even read a bible yet?
Herein lies the problem with some people in churches and on forums such as this one. They learn their supposedly essential doctrines/viewpoints from someone [preacher, priest, teacher, parent, friend] and go with it as if it is final and absolutely correct. Too often what they have is milk, but they have stopped continuing to really seek. One verse I go back to often is this one:

"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Matt 6:33

No matter what I have already learned or what God has already shown me [Do I even know all that He has shown me?] while time remains to me I keep on seeking those two things. How well do I know or am I immersed in His kingdom and His righteousness? Probably I know more than when I first began, but the only end to the thing comes when I quit [which I refuse to do] or when I run out of time [which to the moment of this writing I have not yet].

Who are the babies? I know that I am not a baby in places, yet in other places at times I understand that there is so much that I do not understand. But... I keep on talking to God reading the Bible each day. With age the whole process is slower, but God knows what is needed. I need to always trust in Him.

My best friend outside the Internet died on 3-1-2020. He was a Bible student, but he admitted to me long ago that he had never read the whole Bible. He studied topics when he studied but never over the years of his life in serving God had never sat down and just read the whole Bible. Some parts he had never read at all. I believe that the Book, the Bible that is, contains unsearched riches, which the Holy Spirit in us will use if we just keep on reading and letting the Spirit leads the way.

My friend had some real problems, stumbling blocks, but he did love God. I hope that at the end of his road he was walking with God in spite of his shortcomings. I had not seen him for the last couple of months.

The problem is not so much in not having all of the knowledge [for who but God does], but in putting something in first place in front of God, such as our own knowledge or ability to reason. There is not limit in how much more from God is available to us? No limit! There is however the limit that each of us puts on himself. The way to continue to increase in God is to continue to decrease ourselves. Can we be reduced in ourselves alone to zero? Can he be increased in ourselves to the highest [infinity?]?

"He must increase, but I must decrease." John 3:30

the soldier believed that Jesus is the Son of God, not that he was God,

In believing Jesus is the Son of God, the informed will believe that He is also God: Isaiah 9:6, Hebrews 1:8-9.

I don't think he was saying this man on the cross was God Almighty.

You would be wrong in not thinking that.

And Bryd, for those that spout out: John 8:24. It says that you shall die in your sins if you do not believe, I (am) (he) the Son of God, definitely NOT God Almighty or God the Son by somehow forcing the OT Exodus Hebrew to English translation "I will be who I will be." or "I am who I am."

To believe in the Son of God is to believe in the everlasting Father, see Isaiah 9:6.

Therefore to not believe He is the Son of God is to not believe that He is God.

Therefore in saying that if you do not believe that I am the Son of God, you will die in your sins, He is saying, If you do not believe that I am God (the everlasting Father) you will die in your sins.

@amadeus,

We build on the foundation of Jesus Christ a building.

When we are adding new things to the building, it is not wise to tear down the old things if they are made of gold, silver, and precious gems.

Therefore, for the most part, we ought not to empty ourselves of old information when we are coming upon the new.

Mat 13:52, Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.

Amen brother, totally. When I sent you that comment, It was kind of rhetorical and agreeing with your last post. I was thinking in terms of being someone who has led a lot of people to Christ through the salvation message. Coming from a paganistic background myself, I know personally that the wooing of the Holy Spirit is somehow divinely intertwined within the salvation message, bringing revelation and truth to ones heart. Jesus didn't care that I didn't know anything about his divinity. He just wanted to have a personal relationship with me and be a part of my life.

When you came to understand that He is truly God, if you are born again you did not reject that idea, is all that I'm saying.

It is out of charity (agape love) that I seek to preach sound doctrine so that in believing it, men may be saved. Again, see 1 Timothy 4:16.
I know you are teaching what you believe and are certain is right. I really don't doubt that.

Charity, also, does not rejoice in iniquity but rejoices in the truth.

So I am not going to tell you that you are saved if the scripture declares that you are lost.
Sometimes perhaps is it still best to remain silent, even when one is falsely accused. Remember Jesus on this point?

Now I'm glad that you repented and are now saying that you do believe that Jesus is God; but to say that it is not essential to believe in this truth is to disregard what Jesus has said in John 8:24 and elsewhere.
I did not repent. I have not changed what I believed regarding who Jesus is since I started posting on this thread.
What is essential is for a person to sincerely try to do according to what he sincerely believes is what God wants him to do. What is it we are doing with what we have? We do not all have the same things. We do not all do the best that we can with what we have. Read this with understanding, if you can:

"But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more." Luke 12:48

What we have is time, intelligence [great or little], material riches [or not], education [or not], experience in various things, etc.

Can you say that you really believe in Him if you find yourself rejecting His word
s?
I am not rejecting anything that I have heard from Him. We have a different idea as to what His Word is. We have different ideas on a number of things which at times make communication quite difficult.
