Those in Jesus enjoy the eternal rest found in Him EVERYDAY.

The eternal rest as you call it but the scripture calls the sabbath rest has nothing at all to do with the 7th-day sabbath.

Congrats Madam, as you say, those in Jesus enjoy the eternal rest found in Him EVERYDAY -- despite what every day you and they may say of those under the Law in Jesus Christ who believe "the day The Seventh Day is Sabbath OF THE LORD THEIR GOD". Despite yes. Amen. God bless you. It is long last that I read a true post from this board.

The sabbath rest has nothing at all to do with the sabbath day. The sabbath rest is permanent. The Sabbath day is one in seven. Read the scripture.

Hebrews 4 v 9 So, then, there remains a sabbath rest to the people of God. (Sabbath = sabbatismos in Greek)

Hebrews 4 v 10 for he who did enter into his rest, he also rested from his works, as God from His own. (rest in greek = katapuasis) Note rested from his WORKS. not RESTED for a day from his works.

It's my job. God gave me this job, so I am obliged to answer though I am tired to death through all the valueless nonsense I must respond to. If anyone should read the Scripture, it is you. I recommend though that you also read what others say about it.

The debate between Saturday and Sunday is a false debate. Paul has already cleared this up:
"Every day is the sabbath." When we have entered Christ, we have entered His "rest". If I have faith, there is no reason to fret about paying my mortgage, no reason to save for my retirement; these are acts of doubt - I am not trusting God to take care of me despite not having money for my mortgage and despite not saving for retirement. If I toil for money, I have not entered God's rest. If I worry about tomorrow, then I have not entered God's rest. Toiling to bring forth supplies is part of the consequence of our original sin (maybe, only a consequence for men, since the Bible seems to suggest that women do not suffer the consequence of "toiling").

I disagree. Paul spoke about the real meaning of the Sabbath, for Christians. See Paul: entering God's "rest". And, "Every day is the sabbath." Jesus said, "My way is easy, and my burden is light." The curse of original sin was that we had to "toil of the ground" (that is, work for a living). This was the significance of Jesus instructing his apostles about how to proceed when evangelizing. Take no money with you, don't make plans about where you will stay when you visit different towns, etc. Only trust, no human effort should be involved; no calling ahead to make hotel reservations. No decisions about how much money to bring with you when you travel, how much money you need to pay for meals in these towns you are visiting. This is not God's rest, it is toil. But, it seems to be the smart (practical) thing to do. Jesus' Way seems foolish to humans; and as Christians, we were supposed to have "turned the world upside-down". But, Christians have failed to understand God's words (even as Jesus' disciples misunderstood, repeatedly, when Jesus taught them.) I have never met a Christian who has entered God's rest, who keeps "everyday" as the sabbath. I break this commandment every day, as do all Christians. There should be no pride in Christians being "good" - because Christians are not good. Even Jesus refused to be considered a "good" person: "no one is good, except God the Father."
You keep the Sabbath commands? Wow. There are lots of folks working on the "Sabbath". How many have you stoned to death as Moses / God COMMANDED?

Paul was very good at presenting the 'types' of the old covenant and then showing their 'fulfillment' in the new covenant. As he did with circumcision and the law and the sabbath day. The Sabbath day was a physical rest of one day in seven and Paul used this to illustrate the perpetual rest we have in Christ or the gospel. Sin is hard work and it takes a lot of effort to resist the good news that all of our sins have been forgiven in Christ. Resting in Christ or believing the gospel is a perpetual sabbath and has nothing to do with physically keeping the sabbath day like they did in the old covenant. It's physical rest versus spiritual rest.

Yes! You destroy your own fallacy! When we have entered Christ, we have entered His "rest", "the Rest of God"-'katapausis'-- not his "Holy Sabbath Day remaining obligatory for the People of God .. since JESUS GAVE THEM REST".

All and every mouth speaking against the Sabbath of the LORD GOD speaks NO Scripture or CORRUPTED Scripture WITHOUT SHAME OR FEAR.

We are required to keep the commandments of Christ (Christians) not the commandments of Moses (legalists).

The Sabbath was not for you, it will never be for you and if you keep it like SDA or Hebrew roots or Messianics you are fallen from grace.

If "the day The Sabbath Day of the LORD GOD" could be changed the LORD GOD would be neither LORD nor GOD.

Christ changed the Sabbath to Sunday when he rose from the grave on Sunday and passed over the Sabbath day and left it in the tomb with the rest of the old covenant. The Catholic church did not change the days. The Pope did not change the days. The Apostles did not change the days. Christ himself changed the days and left an example for all future Christian generations to protect them from falling into the defunct covenant of law.

Hebrews 4:9 - So there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God. (NASB) *Notice that the Greek word "sabbatismos" here is used no where else in the Bible! Amazing that Sabbatarians would suggest that this is the word for "keeping the weekly Sabbath" when it is never used anywhere else in the Bible! :)

W. E. Vine, Greek Dictionary points out:

Sabbath rest (4520) (sabbatismos from sabbatízo = keep the Sabbath) literally means a keeping of a sabbath or a keeping of days of rest. It is used in this passage not in the literal sense (meaning to keep a specific day, the "Sabbath" day) but to describe a period of rest for God’s people which is modeled after and is a fulfillment of the traditional Sabbath.

SABBATISMOS a Sabbath-keeping, is used in Heb. 4:9, R.V., "a Sabbath rest," A.V. marg., "a keeping of a Sabbath" (akin to sabbatizoµ, to keep the Sabbath, used, e.g., in Ex. 16:30, not in the N.T.); here the Sabbath-keeping is the perpetual Sabbath rest to be enjoyed uninterruptedly by believers in their fellowship with the Father and the Son, in contrast to the weekly Sabbath under the Law. Because this Sabbath rest is the rest of God Himself, its full fruition is yet future, though believers now enter into it. In whatever way they enter into divine “rest,” that which they enjoy is involved in an indissoluble relation with God. (Vine's Expository Dictionary of New Testament Words)

The Lords day is the first day of the week;
9 I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.

10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,

11 Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.

12 And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;

13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.

14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;

15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.
