Here is a dog whistle for you all.

and here is my take on it. Christians like to claim that liberals attack the family by promoting homosexual marriage and divorce and women in the workplace.....

Yet, so many conservatives have rooted themselves in the theology of toxic individualism! Me first over community! No vaccines! No masks! No public schools! No integration of folks with disabilities or minorities of any kind! No government support of any kind unless it benefits me!

MAGA really means Me First!

If we had this mentality during the Second World War, we would have lost it. We certainly would have lost the Cold War; and after holding our family and community together through all this it now looks like Khrushchev's prediction is finally taking hold:

“We will take America without firing a shot. We do not have to invade the U.S. We will destroy you from within....”

And surprisingly, the destruction of our community is not coming from the left - instead, it is exploiting American's tendency towards embracing conspiracy theories over reason; our greed and desire for luxury over charity; our love of self sufficiency and 'rugged individualism over community.........

Community is fine as long as I get Mine.

And going outside of scripture for a bit with your post in mind, consider the words of our 35th President:

"My fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you. ask what you can do for your country"

no absolutely not. democratic party (liberals) have always been about the individuals right to be what ever and do whatever. which is contrary to conservatives views. so liberals prove they are about themselves, and what they want first. and in the case of US citizens its and entitlement in the liberal view.

in the 60's / 70's it was the get high free sex liberal's insistence that the draft should be eliminated and were the ones standing at airports spiting on US solders who stood by their country right or wrong (community service) screaming baby killer. so your lying horse dump isn't appreciated at all. why don't you go lie some were else.

liberals like to look like their community as long as it doesn't cost them anything like maybe their lives. now they give you that disingenuous thank you for your service crap so's they don't look unamerican in the eyes of those around them.

conservatives don't say "thank you for your service", they shake their fellows hand. the righteous invigorate and the wicked desecrate. conservatives don't desecrate.

I thought this was about the attack on the family unit? The community is NOT the family, nor was it the first target of you know who. You break down the family, the community/tribe and eventually the nation won't be far behind, because the family is the real backbone of any society. It of course began with 1st wave feminist ideology, which hit the black community like a freight train with the "n*gg*s ain't s**", and "don't need no man", and "strong independent woman" baloney, and the rest was history. It didn't take that much to split the family in two, because the manipulators that be learned very well from the OG that got the ball rolling, Satan, when he want after Eve with his poison. Its a tried and true tactic, used throughout history to subjugate and conquer tribes and nations. First, you get the woman, then you've got the children, and the men must follow.

No public schools!

Well considering that the school system is the first place you go to to get brainwashed, I can actually agree that we can do without it.

You are forgetting Planned Parenthood. You could translate that as "Genocide for Black Americans".
Planned Parenthood 'Outraged by Violence Against Black Lives' but Kills Thousands of Black Babies Every Year
Planned Parenthood Kills Thousands of Black Babies Each Year Yet Claims To Be 'Outraged by Violence Against Black Lives'

President Trump failed to veto every spending bill that gave millions to Planned Parenthood? Why?

To me it seems to me that selfishness isn't discriminatory in that those that are selfish will vote either right or left if it suits their selfishness the most. I also think the devil isn't discriminatory in that he will use both right and left to serve his purpose if those on either side will allow themselves to be used by him and buy into his lies, and one of his tactics is to divide and turn us against each other.

I think the biggest thing I take out of this is that I also believe the Devil's tactic of getting people to focus on the spec in 'the other sides' eye instead of the plank in their own eye has never been more successful than we're seeing now - both for the unbeliever as well as the believer.

So - in that, I do agree to the OP's views to this extent - it's easy for Christians to give themselves a good score card and be deceived by thinking they are more righteous when they focus on homosexuality, gender wickedness, divorce, etc, which allows for false gospel messages, distracted focus, and worldly desires (riches, and whatever else we can get out of this life) to seem less toxic.

But - I struggle with the attack on the right leaning view. I'm not an American - and while my perspective is based on outside observations - I can't help but wonder. If I was to take all of the original post as being accurate - and I attempt eliminate those who are extremely selfish and focus more on those who are more serving... why then would the majority of those who are willing to serve their country at risk to their own lives lean right, and vote Republican instead of Democrats?

Election 2016 exit polls: votes by military service | Statista
It seems to me (again from observing from the outside, and whether right or wrong) that those who are willing to put others before themselves to the point of putting their lives on the line (and there is no greater love) - are actually more right-winged than left. (Notwithstanding the main points that I made in the first 2 paragraphs, and acknowledging that self serving people can be voting on both sides as well).

In this, it seems to me that the attack on all those who would lean towards the right (politically) as being labelled as being self centered by focusing only on the right-wing selfish people is not a fair representation of the whole.

Ask not what God can do for you (He's already done it all!) - but what you can do for Him?

Not what I remember exactly.

I think what I am thinking of used to be on a TV ad here in Aus, "Ask not what man can do for you, but what you can do for man."

Does that sound familiar?

Sounds a bit like a quote from JFK....

But the Gospel is about depending entirely on the work of Christ and admitting our sinfulness and insufficiency (Ephesians 2.8-9).

Hi Josho,

I haven't watched live TV in I don't know how long - well over a decade (I built a media centre back when they first came out with Windows XP and since then have skipped all the ads :)), so it doesn't sound familiar sorry.

Hah well I am a old school young fella here, so I still watch regular free TV sometimes, not all that much though, mainly just to watch a bit of News, a movie every now and then, Songs of Praise, Hawaii Five-O, Death in Paradise and maybe something else every now and then.

And I don't use Netflix.

@Scoot though I think we are lucky to get a mix of British and American shows in Australia though.

@Josho We still watch the occasional free-to-air TV - but it's pre-recorded so we can skip the ads. (Actually - we normally watch it a few weeks after it's aired - so if there's a 'to be continued' cliffhanger in a show, we have the next one already recorded. :)

Agree re the mix of British and American shows. I find there's not as much that I enjoy these days as I used to. I dropped main stream news many years ago when I kept seeing just how much they try to fit a narrative and affect their viewers instead of just reporting the facts.

Back to the topic:

I had no idea about Trump failing to veto those bills. I too would like to know what reason he has given!

I'm surprised by Trump - I actually thought he would take a tougher approach than he has, and a big axe to a lot more than he has. Planned parenthood, Fauci, etc - he seems to be tolerating more than I expected. I don't know the reasons why, but it certainly isn't wasn't what I expected.

Hi H2S...that was JFK. Don't remember your mom crying while watching the funeral on TV? I was very young but remember that day clearly. Mostly the flagged draped coffin and his young son. Was sad.
