Instead of telling people that with the quarantines, social distancing and effective drugs now available, they should expect a decline in COVID-19 deaths, they are unnecessarily scaring people with numbers like 100,000 to 200,000! (Note: Current count for deaths in the USA is about 2,500)

It is high time President Trump FIRED these fear-mongers (including Dr Fauci) and asked calm Dr. Ben Carson to PROPERLY EVALUATE the situation, and then give an informed opinion. Ben Carson is a Christian.

Mr. Trump is also allowing his dubious advisers to keep changing his tune instead of staying the course. First he was going to quarantine New York state and a couple of others, now he's changed his mind. First he was going to end this shut-down by Easter, and how he will extend it until the end of April. First he was calling it the Chinese virus, now he's decided that he won't. Looks like someone is pulling his strings. On top of that his DHS wants to import 85,000 H -1B foreign workers to grab the jobs of Americans in the middle of this crisis.

You know I have to agree with your OP. I cannot deny what my mind and heart senses and what I have read and deduced for myself in a calm and collective manner on this subject already.

Just a note: the rate of so-called 'new' cases have decreased in the US, yesterday, for the first time. Maybe it is just a glitch...I hope it's not..and it is a positive and downward trend.

Here's one of many, many inconsistencies and illogical arguments I can cite from this new terror attack by microscopic proteins encased in an outer layer of fat : Even though the authorities have said that the 6ft/ 2m rule of separation is effective to slow the spread etc.....I still touch the cashier at the grocery store when I collect my change. I still take the paper currency and place it in my wallet. Many grocery store sneeze barriers are still in storage today. I still am surrounded by 3-4 people within a few feet of me in the grocery store, as with everyone else. ......I still can see the dentist if I need a filling or a root canal...still see the doc and nurses without wearing any special gear....

Now we have roadblocks set up at the gateway to various States to stop this new terror from invading different States in the US...it's a new form of 9/11 all over again.

Just another thought and there are underling long term consequences: YHWH our creator made 'touch' one of the key senses not only for physical living and survival but also for spiritual worship and caring and sharing for loves ones. Isolating people with a so-called social separation distance rule runs counter to the wishes of our Creator. It is really an evil act to condition people to further isolate themselves from people as modern media and technology has already added to this isolation over the decades. WE all need to touch others to grow and share the love 'from above.'

I don't know why you keep insisting that the pandemic, that the entire world is suffering from, and that the only resolution to it is the creation of a vaccine, or social distancing, is a global conspiracy to subjugate a country's citizens? Death and defeat is on both sides of the issue, one is as real, and a threat, as the other. No government would ever demand such isolation, to the detriment of their own economy, in order to ** some ulterior motive. That would be entirely tantamount to shooting themselves in the foot, or cutting of their noses in order to spite their face. It is not an efficacious methodology, by any means. Isolation does not serve their alleged ultimate purpose, as you purport to be the case. The means do not justify the ends, by anyone's estimation.

The number of deaths in the future may depend on what we do. President Trump may not want to talk about it; but it should be clear that if the numbers of needless deaths continue to rise, he will lose the next election, even losing Red states where he could have won if more appropriate measures had been taken by Republican governors.

New model predicts more than 208,000 Covid-19 deaths in the US by November

The University of Washington has extended its projection of how many people are likely to die from coronavirus in the US to November 1, predicting at least 208,255 deaths by then, based on the current scenario.

But if 95% of the population wears a mask in public, that number would drop to approximately 162,808, the university’s Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) said Tuesday.

I have no doubt that the democrats would act to destroy this country if it hurts Trump' s chance for re-election. The hipocracy surrounding the recent riots has proven that to me. 1. The number of COVID-19 deaths is being MIS-REPORTED. If we want the truth, we would need to get a totally independent investigation of the numbers reported by a totally unbiased group of medical examiners who are not afraid of the Establishment.

2. The number of COVID-19 deaths is ON THE DECLINE. Just because testing is on the rise means absolute nothing. The majority of those testing positive will not even show symptoms.

3. Right from the start, there have been LIES, MORE LIES, AND GREATER LIES from China, WHO, IHME, CDC, NIH, and the Imperial College. So nothing should be trusted until and unless there is a thorough investigation (which probably will never happen).

There is quite a bit of false information being published about the Wuhan virus. Some of it is pure disinformation to keep the lock downs going. Some of it is designed to make people think that all ages and all races are affected equally by COVID-19. But many now realize that the lock downs were unnecessary, and using terms such as “deadly” and “deadlier” are meant to mislead and create panic.

However, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have analyzed the death rates both by age and by race and there are huge differences. The graphs are found here:

1. Below age 44 there are very few deaths from this virus regardless of race. Schools need not have been shut down.

2. People who are 85 and older have a very high death rate, and those are also the seniors in nursing homes. Nursing homes should have been designed properly.

3. From age 45 to 85 (and up) the death rates rise, but up to age 74 they are similar to flu death rates (200/100,000 of population). So there was really no need for fear-mongering.

4. After age 74, the death rates are 3-6 times higher for Hispanics and Blacks, but not for Whites. There could be socio-economic factors involved, or even genetic factors.There is no question that some races are more susceptible to certain ailments.

3. Hydroxycroquine (HCQ)/erethromycin/zinc sulfate as a package preventative treatment for healthy or mildly infected people is extremely effective. And that it why it has been mercilessly attacked by the media (one of the enemies of America).

4. Remdesivir is extremely expensive and minimally effective. And that is why it is now being promoted, so that Gilead can rake in billions at tax-payer expense.

5. Ordinary everyday precautions such as hand washing and normal distancing from people is good enough to prevent infection. But common sense never prevails.

6. Maintaining one’s health is the key to avoiding any kind of sickness and disease.This has been known for ages.
