Guess what? Paul is speaking of himself, and he is an Apostle. You miss the whole passage.
verse 7 tells us.Try again.:oops::oops::oops:
I gave you the WHOLE chapter and explained it. So undoubtedly you refuse to humble yourself, admit you were wrong about that scripture and choose to remain in ignorance of the truth.
Furthermore, you give too much glory to man (apostles were men) and NONE to the Holy Spirit.

We live in a day when people have turned from truth to fables so it should not be a surprise that some even on message boards have been deceived into such false ideas.

No one on this board has:

1]traveled to heaven and back

2]Had God-given visions

3]speak or pray in tongues

4]raised the dead

5]received a postcard from "Luke"

6] had any contact with Apostles

7] seen the Virgin Mary

8] been given visions

9] "move" in the gifts

10] seen demons flying around in church

11] seen demons chasing squirrels in their attic

12] bound satan

13] spoken rhema words

14] received a "double portion"

15] detecting auras

16] believing God for a miracle

17] been "slain in the Spirit"

18] name it and claim it

19 ] and of course claiming the old standby "the anointing breaks the yoke"

20]Had bouts of "holy laughter"

These and other such fabrications are offered as a poor substitute for the faith ONCE GIVEN TO THE SAINTS
Many claim these and more but need to examine their claims in light of scripture, not claim their experiences trump scripture.
Correct 19/20 not a bad guess.

This is orthodox teaching but you and the others do not know Church history enough to know.
You teach your false doctrine and expect others to just jump on board with you because you say it is so. However, too many here have experienced His presence, miracles, and heard His voice and you can't take that away from no one. Stop advocating for Satan and start seeking His Truth.

Heart2Soul,
I gave you the WHOLE chapter and explained it. So undoubtedly you refuse to humble yourself, admit you were wrong about that scripture and choose to remain in ignorance of the truth.

Sorry, but it looks like you are mistaken here. Paul is speaking of himself, and Galatians 1 adds to the information.
You and a few others desire to make up your own version of the events.
You can do that if you want but it will not get you to truth.one of us is ignorant of truth here.Look in any commentary and everyone knows Paul was speaking of Himself.

Furthermore, you give too much glory to man (apostles were men) and NONE to the Holy Spirit.

You can insult me if you must, but it does not change the teaching. You did not answer the two questions I asked you, because you cannot answer without admitting your experience comment was quite mistaken.

God gave pastors and teachers to the church, they are all men.They are gifts to the church.
Furthermore, the Holy Spirit does not speak of Himself, but to glorify Jesus.

12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.

13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

Charismatic types like to speak of the Spirit, and they do not need teachers by misquoting 1 jn 2
27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

So you are going to add to the word?
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

What you accuse, is what YOU DO:

Rev. 22:19 and if any one takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.

2 Tim. 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

Deny the POWER of GOD's involvement in the affairs of men, and take some ice with you.

Afraid not. St. Luke would never write that silliness that you so what him to and St. Luke would instantly point you to Christ not talk about carnal women.

How do you know what Luke would write? Beauty comes from God and that include beautiful to look at woman. Are u the other?

My wife was beautiful!!! and I wasn't ashamed to have it.

In Hell they are all gey.

Luke might of wrote about me and what I thought.. except dropping cans.

This is a debate forum that implies not everyone agrees many times.
You claim my teaching is false and yet have not shown it to be so.
You are making several unkind accusations, if you need to, well enjoy yourself.
I do not expect anyone to jump on board as you say.
You offer your stories, and views, I will offer scripture and let the readers decide who is teaching truth from scripture.
Your experiences are not what we are to believe, but the scripture is what God has given to the saints
.
At this point I believe I have answered all your questions.
okay, you did what you could, thanks for your responses.

Now you accuse me of making unkind accusations and at the same time accuse me (unkindly) that I use stories and not scripture in my response.....when in fact I did use scripture. I asked you for a scripture stating there are apostolic sign gifts. And you gave me a scripture about signs of a true apostle.
You're talking out of both sides of your mouth saying one thing here and contradicting yourself elsewhere.

The truths suggested in the OP. stand. those who have been infected by the pseudo-spirituality of the day have offered the anticipated sci fi anecdotal stories, cars running with no fuel but powered by rhyming noises,
trips to heaven and back,of course hearing audible voices, etc.
These things cause a reproach on the furthering of the gospel.
Years ago such persons went all over on the job saying how the dead were going to be raised that Sunday at church, and many saw what a poor testimony it was. The claims made on here are just that.

Eventually you did offer 2 cor12, even though you did not get it correct.
Most others just offered stories, cars running with no fuel through the desert,etc.

I asked about the virgin mary appearing in Lourdes france, and Josephs Smiths experience and no one would answer those questions, but you suggested no ones experience can be questioned???

Here is what you posted;

We cannot question the experience of the 3 little girls in Lourdes France because according to you;
because you were not there and therefore cannot tell them what they heard or didn't hear.

"pompadour,

You just proved my point.... STOP SIGN.

No stop sign, just mistaken Charismatics making unverifiable claims.
All the word of faith heretics will be judged,
2 Peter 2 King James Version (KJV)
2 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;

6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;

7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:

8 (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)

9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.

11 Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord.

12 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;

13 And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;

14 Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:

15 Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;

16 But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man's voice forbad the madness of the prophet.

17 These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.

18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.

19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.

20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.

21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

I didn't say.you can't test what a person testifies. I said you can't tell them it didn't happen. Now in regards to Joseph Smith. I personally do not believe he received the 10 commandments but I don't tell those who do it didn't happen. I simply just let them know that I do not agree with their beliefs.
So if you don't agree with my beliefs I am okay with that....but I am not okay with you telling me that any testimony I share of what has happened in my life did not happen.
Oh and about the virgin Mary....I have never read or heard about it so I can't comment on it until I research it.

The OP wasn't born either hes fake news. I'm not really talking to him? See how psycho you get when you group everything into it never happened.
