You find this amusing? Nice straw man, by the way. Of course I intend to overcome, but 30 years ago, I wasn't so sure. See you in the funny papers.

Yes that struck me as funny.
Who was talking about 30 yrs ago, or being unsure. I wasn't.

A different individual claims we get to observe their torment, I suppose from the balcony.

Maybe they think they are a Holy angel...?

Rev 14
[9] And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
[10] The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

What do you suppose was in the cup Jesus drank and said the sons of thunder would also drink?

Revelation 2:27 KJV
[27] And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.

Oh, so you believe in the preconcieved idea that the unsaved wicked have been given "eternal souls".
If so, then you also believe that all animal life have been given eternal souls too.
I mean, they also have the breath of life in their nostrils too.
So the questions remain,
1. What exactly is "the breath of life"?
2. What does the word "soul" describe?
Ref. KJV (1.) Genesis 2:7; 6:17; 7:21-22 and (2.) Genesis 4:10.
I sounds like you've taken over both sides of the discussion now.

What did God create man to be, eternal, or temporal? What was God's plan? His desire? According to the Bible?

Much love!

No one has to go to the lake of fire, God has provided a way for everyone to escape such a fate as that.

And it is so easy to do so, that anyone would have to be a fool to not take the Lord up on His offer of salvation; knowing that the alternative is in fact eternal torments in the lake of fire.

He is the Almighty; and He has said, I AM THAT I AM.

See Mark 4:36. Jesus wants us to take Him as He is.

He is who He is; and He is the Almighty.

He gives salvation as a free gift to all who will believe in Him and what He did for them on the Cross.

People are wrapped up in what that will cost them. Some even feel that if they will be merely annihilated and that this is the consequence of being able to keep their sins while they are on the planet, that this is a fair exchange.

If they knew that it would cost them being in eternal torments it might change their mind.

So the Lord has set it forth as a deterrent; He thought of the strongest deterrent possible and set it into place.

If He could have set it forth and then not given the declared punishment to those who transgress, I think He would have done it that way. But it is impossible for God to lie (Hebrews 6:18, Titus 1:2).

Mat 5:29, And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
Mat 5:30, And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

My question is, why is it more profitable? If, when I am cast into hell, I merely lose consciousness for the rest of eternity, is that not more profitable than being in eternity without a hand or an eye?

The sweet rest of eternal sleep might be something we can all look forward to...I find it not to be a punishment at all.

Nevertheless the scripture declares:

Mat 25:46, And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

No, I didn't. I wonder why? I certainly don't believe that about Satan and his angels. Maybe that is what they are against. Would you do me a favor, and go to page 11, #209 and read my thoughts. Can you refute scripturally? These are just my reasoning; I've never heard anyone teach this, and just wonder if anyone else wondered why Peter said it would be better for someone to never be saved, than to be saved, then turn to apostasy. Same thing in Hebrews 6. I don't think it relates to Hebrews 10 though.
I think it is misguided. Off the top of my head, I cannot refute scripturally. I know that the angels are most often mentioned separately from us when it comes to final punishment, but I don't see that as an indication that justice will be any different for them than for us. All unrepentant sinners (human and angelic) will suffer corresponding to their exact level of guilt. Anything else would be unjust. I'll try to look into your reasoning more extensively as soon as I can get to it. I'll shoot for tomorrow night at the latest.
