What peter stated in Acts was not that they were JUST and ONLY baptized in name of jesus, but that was his way of telling the jews there that he was the One who saved them from their sins!

There is indeed a distinction between the Father and the Son; while they are the same Person.

The Father inhabiteth eternity (Isaiah 57:15); while the Son is come in human flesh (1 John 4:1-3, 2 John 1:7).




I will definitely pray for you that you might see the truth; and will keep out of the details of that prayer that you should believe in the 3 in 1. However, if it is the truth that you should believe in the 3 in 1, then the first prayer cannot help but be equal to the second prayer.

They are the words of Jesus Christ; who is the Son (1 John 4:15) and the Father (Isaiah 9:6).

Not everything in Roman Catholicism is necessarily false doctrine. Don't throw the baby out with the bath water.

What matters is that you call upon it (Romans 10:13).

If you know that the name that you are calling on belongs to the Person of whom the holy scriptures say, "In the volume of the book it is written of me";

then you are calling on the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth as Acts 4:10-12 tells you to do.

Don't worry so much about the pronunciation as much as you should worry about who the Person is behind the name upon which you are calling.

I would suggest seeking in your life to heed Deuteronomy 4:29 and Jeremiah 29:13 first and foremost.

Seek to know who the God is upon whose name you are to call upon for salvation; and then call upon His name.

This may in fact be a lifetime journey for you.

You can cut to the chase by saying something like,

"Living and true God, I don't know who You are but I want to know; and I ask You to come into my heart as You really are; and show me You to the fullest extent possible."

This is something similar to what the man said whose son was afflicted by a demon:

Mar 9:23, Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
Mar 9:24, And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.

Do what the Bible tells us to do and call the Almighty by his Biblical names. Never mind what people tell you, they tell you wrong.
