So, if you're planning on being to be "Dead" in Heaven - why bother?

Sounds to me like you don't know Christ, who said the following . . .

Luke 20:38
Now he is not God of the dead, but of the living, for all live to him.”
Not a single verse tells us to pray to any of the billions of the preceding dead folks in the world. We only pray to Jesus and/or his Father.

Yes, they talk to each other and pray to dead saints.
I'll ask you what I've been asking your fellow anti-=Cathoilics here - to now avail:
Can you show me where the Bible says that those in Heaven are "dead"?
Was Moses "dead" when he spoke to Jesus at the Transfiguration?

Also, what did Jesus mean, when He said the following:
Luke 20:38
Now he is not God of the dead, but of the living, for all live to him.”

EVERY time you "Ask" somebody to pray for you - you have PRAYED to them.
Read and learn . . .

Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary:
Full Definition of pray
transitive verb

1: entreat, implore —often used as a function word in introducing a question, request, or plea<pray be careful>
2: to get or bring by praying

intransitive verb
1: to make a request in a humble manner
2: to address God or a god with adoration, confession, supplication, or thanksgiving

There ends the lesson.

Nope.

I simply ask her to pray for me because she is a member of the Body of Christ in Heaven.
You don't know that?
Yeah, I' sure Jesus is Mary's Savior. Just like He is my Savior.
Cool - can you show me where the Bible says that?
Chapter and Verse, please . . .
You believe Jesus is God, right?

2 Tim 3 All Scripture is God breathed ...
You see - MY Bible says that Jesus is the Author of faith (Heb. 12:2).
It also says that He IS the Word (John 1:1). However, 2 Pet. 1:20-21 says that the Holy Spirit is the Author of Scripture.
Your Bible doesn't say Jesus is God?

They were sinners in their sinful flesh which they are no longer hindered by.
Including Mary.
They have been made perfect in Christ. Mary was "Kecharitomene" (Luke 1:28), so she didn't sin.
NO! It does not say Mary didn't sin! You're making that up.
NOTHING imperfect or impure can enter Heaven (Rev. 21:27).
This is referring to Jesus, NOT Mary.

1 Peter 2:21-22 (NKJV)
21 For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps:
22 "Who committed no sin, Nor was deceit found in His mouth";[/QUOTE]

How is it possible for Jesus and Peter to raise the dead without simultaneously telling the dead person to rise??? This alone demolishes the illogical man made tradition that prayers to dead people is not found in the Bible.

No one has answered this question, found in the "Apparitions of Mary" thread, post #505. Maybe @kcnalp can be the first.

Sooooo, you don't believe in the Trinity?
Was the Father crucified?

If YOU believe that the people in Heaven are "DEAD" - then you don't believe in Christ.
Sooooooo, why are you wasting your time pretending to believe?

Luke 20:38
Now he is not God of the dead, but of the living, for all live to him.”
You pray to those who died. I pray to God.

That doesn't mean Jesus was praying to Moses. lol
No - it simply shows that those who have left this world in Christ can SEE and HEAR us.
We can ask them to pray for us - just like we ask people on earth.

Can you refute this>

Do they ever talk to you? I pray to God. Do you pray to God?
I already answered that question.
I don't receive responses from the saints in Heaven - but I know they hear me when I ask them to pray for me.

Can you refute this?

You are deeply confused. Commanding the dead is NOT praying to them.

I pray to God. Do you pray to God?

Including Mary.

No, you are making that up. Mary was spared from original sin by the merits of The Cross retrospectively. That's why Mary rejoiced in God her savior. Luke 1:47.
Did Mary receive Jesus as her personal savior at the Temple at an altar call given by the rabbi? Your anti-Mary animus is ridiculous.

More "Bible Christian" cults are rejecting the doctrine of Original Sin (Romans 5) at an alarming rate. The mid 18th century modernist doctrines of demons have infected Protestantism like a cancer, made popular in the last 50 years. It's fad theology.
