This sounds like circular reasoning to me.

You parse the born again into "believers" and "saints", and then parse the letter from Paul to fit that division?

You were the one that came up with the term "carnal saints", I just accepted your circular reasoning...
Again I find this discussion hinges on what your view of justification is. I believe our justification and reconconciliation are complete. None who are reconciled will be 'left behind'. So no saints are rejected. All the redeemed are included.

Justification and reconciliation are one thing where I suspect we disagree is on is the destination in our journey. Not all the faithful in Christ are called to suffer for the Gospel only some are. This is fact and History. A person can live for Christ and die of Old age naturally and they have not died the death of a saint, nor given the testimony of a saint, because they were never given that opportunity because they were never chosen by God for this calling. This is simple common sense, They were never called upon to be saints, Not that this has anything to do with merit. That is the whole Point of this. Just like Job did not deserve what happened to Him, But it was of God's choosing.

It is By this testimony, that Satan is overcome and cast down to earth in the end times as Per Revelation 12:10-11. By the Blood of the Lamb (Justification), and the word of our testimony (Those called to be saints.) And in the end when Satan is cast down he will in his wrath create more saints by making war on the saints and appearing to overcome them during the great tribulation as he empowers the beast.... We are already seeing this begin in the world as lawlessness is increasing And congregating in church is being outlawed while going to casinos and liquor stores is not (changing the times and the laws), And soon to come is outright murder and imprisonment and what not as prophesied in Rev. 13, and Daniel 7.

But our justification is final, our reconciliation complete.

I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. (Phil. 3:14) There is much of the church that thinks they are good with God and are living in complacency and not growing IN Christ, because they have accepted a doctrine such as this that leads to complacency, which lacks the whole council of God. They Like to quote Ephesians 2 :8-9 while ignoring verse 10, As this does not add up to them. But if you understand that it is God that works in you Both to will and to do of His good pleasure (Phil. 2:13), then you will understand that submission and surrender are the eventual destination of all Christian faith and when we arrive at that point of Total surrender we put to death the Old man and Christ lives in us. I Pray God Helps you see this.

BTW, Thanks for the interaction, At least you are not as closed minded as some here who just call what i am saying preaching catholic doctrine, and try to put a label on what i say so that they can avoid interaction, instead of being Berrean's about what is said. There are very few willing to do this in Christian circles anymore, as Post modernism is reaching its climax in the cancel culture of the day where you label someone and then ignore them and the facts and arguments they are presenting without hearing them out.

God Bless.

I think it's error to say this leads to complacency, I believe it leads to victory, that same victory you seek, in a complete surrender to my Faithful Creator. I have nothing whatsoever to fear from Him other than the discipling of a Father with His child.

There may be those who hold this doctrine in vain, but I think that is true of any doctrine, some espouse without that reliance.

I believe that when we are fully settled in our reconciliation and justification, this releases our faith to fully rely on Christ in me, and we have the expectation of glory.

Being born again, we are created in God's pattern, in righteousness and true holiness. This is our new inner man. We are to put on the new man, and putting on that man is our sanctification. I believe that at all times the child of God may be that trusting, and may stand in God's grace, and live in sanctification.

I don't believe God withholds that from anyone. I believe God can and does give gifts of faith that enable the recipient to do whatever the gift is meant to accomplish, which may be what I've come to call an "elevated walk". Not that their walk is necessarily intended for anyone else, we all have our own relationship with God.

Submission and surrender are the response of God's child who trusts in His love. Trusting in His love is the fruit of reconciliation.

Much love!

I Agree that this is the Key, to rest in his finished work is to surrender to His will, But that being said not all respond with this in Mind they are once and done Christians. Like the whole concept of OSAS using the doctrine of eternal security as a License to sin, Instead of a doctrine we arrive at in our journey as we come to the full assurance of the faith. It robs the believer of this journey and experience and makes belief a mental acknowledgment of facts as the article from Tozer I quoted spoke of. It is like teaching forgiveness of sin without having victory over sin. Like Living in Romans 7 and never reaching the victory in Romans 8, Like an eagle never learning to fly.

Submission and surrender are the response of God's child who trusts in His love. Trusting in His love is the fruit of reconciliation.

Amen!

There is such a mixed message out there, I'm afraid! I've seen this in about every church I've been to.

My most recent church, very strong in teaching about our reconciliation. But everytime we would take communion, the pastor would invite the congregation to say "the sinner's prayer" together first, so we would "be all squeeky clean!" His intent was loving, I believe, but his message was that Christians need to be "re-cleaned". And I knew people there who bought into that thinking, getting "resaved" over and over again, and never moving on to that maturity.

Yes, like an eagle never learning to fly, great analogy!

Much love!

Mothers have the most significant job in the world.
I agree 100% that is why Satan wants them out of the home and abandoning their children. The scripture says to bring up your children, not to hand that duty over to a paid professional.

Who are the Saints?

1 John 3
[7] Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
[8] He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
[9] Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
