Check out Harrison. He was dying while his doctors were telling people he was getting better.

Much love!
So you're saying what? If Harrison's doctors lied, it's okay if Trump's do?

There is something I really don't understand. I say if you are going to lie, at least be clever about it. Don't get caught. It's bad enough to be a liar, but do you also need to be stupid?

I just checked that out. I found something different.

William Henry Harrison - Wikipedia

On March 26, 1841, Harrison became ill with cold-like symptoms. His symptoms grew progressively worse over the next two days, at which time a team of doctors was called in to treat him. The prevailing misconception at the time was that his illness had been caused by the bad weather at his inauguration three weeks earlier. The doctors diagnosed him with right lower lobe pneumonia, then placed heated suction cups on his bare torso and administered a series of bloodlettings to draw out the disease. Those procedures failed to bring about improvement, so the doctors treated him with ipecac, castor oil, calomel, and finally with a boiled mixture of crude petroleum and Virginia snakeroot. All this only weakened Harrison further.

Initially, no official announcement was made concerning Harrison's illness, which fueled public speculation and concern the longer he remained out of public view. By the end of the month, large crowds were gathering outside the White House, holding vigil while awaiting any news about the president's condition. Harrison died on April 4, 1841, nine days after becoming ill and exactly one month after taking the oath of office; he was the first president to die in office. Jane McHugh and Philip A. Mackowiak did an analysis in Clinical Infectious Diseases (2014), examining Dr. Miller's notes and records of the White House water supply being downstream of public sewage, and they concluded that he likely died of septic shock due to "enteric fever" (typhoid or paratyphoid fever).

In the week before his death, stories in appeared in national newspapers that Harrison had fallen ill after dinner on March 27, 1841. By Saturday, April 3, rumors were all over Washington that Harrison was seriously ill and regular bulletins were issued to the press. “We are led to fear the worst result,” reported the Baltimore Sun.

I think you wasted my time. I'm sorry you wrote that.

One reason could be them looking forward to additional wealth transfer under Biden's administration.
I have no clue what you mean and suspect you don't know either; but I own stock, and I also think I understand why Wall Street prefers Biden. Trump may brag about how the Dow Jones soared while he was President; and maybe that fools some people, but it's not fooling Wall Street.

I'm sorry! What I read gave a different take on it. I was only meaning to say Pres. Trump wouldn't have been the only one.

We have some stocks also, which is one of the reasons I'm liking Trump. I think he'll be better for me than Biden. But that's not necessarily true for those who have sufficient quantities of stocks and wealth to manipulate the market, which is much more easily done in times of tumult.

Anyway, I don't wish to waste your time.

Much love!

Of course, doctors have lied in the past about the health of Presidents. Washington is full of liars. I used to live there and heard rumors that never showed up in the newspapers.

His tax cuts benefited mostly the rich and corporations. If you really want the economy to take off, you need to put more money in the hands of the lower and middle income classes. Trump came into office when the economy was recovering under Obama. Trump actually did very little since the economy was still improving. You can't judge things so easily -- Nixon and Carter got a lot of the blame over the economy; but I'd blame Johnson more for his big spending which racked up a huge debt.

I think Wall Street would do even better if lower and middle income people had more money in their pockets and Mom and Pop stores would too-- and I don't mean cutting government checks. Trump is still on a spending spree trying to buy votes. He wrecked farming with his trade policy with China; and farmers (corporate farming companies got most of the money) got bailed out one -- now he's hoping to win Iowa and Wisconsin by diverting funds appropriated by Congress for something else to bail them out again. (I think $4 billion.) But the little guys are still going bankrupt. Obama got criticized for bailing out Wall Street and Detroit -- but guess what, those were loans. They got repaid -- with interest. Under Trump, the money just got given away. To a large degree, that was the result of loose regulation -- with many corporations being heavily in debt and without enough cash to weather a financial storm.

I can’t really pass comment on this as I am not in the USA and simply don’t know enough x
I saw your earlier post about President Trumps breathing, my son had shown me the video when I got home from work. It is feasible that he was out of breathe for other reasons, but I am pretty sure that if that was the case He would have waited before he came out for the photos. The whole point was to show he was okay, he wasn’t. I must admit that the images of him struggling to breath made me feel quite sad, and I really hope he will be okay. Many have said they start to feel better, then it hits again.

Trump has demonstrated time and again by his own personal behavior that his public image means everything to him. He doesn't like looking weak and being sick makes him look weak. I think he presents a false perception of himself on purpose. I think a lot of that is his ego.

Is Trump trying to lose the election? Things could get a lot worse, especially next year but before the election too. When I checked just now, I see the Dow Jones took a dive at that news.

I seriously doubt that he was thinking about much else than getting revenge against the Democrats. And if there's a backlash of any kind due to his decision, then he'll turn it around and blame the Democrats. He won't take personal responsibility for the outcome or the potential fallout.

Why would the president of the United States risk looking weak to the world? This wouldn't be wise. Do you think that it would bode well with rogue nations like Iran and North Korea if he did?

This is what she said. I'm bumping it up to this page.

This is gossip because she's speculating and assuming the worst of someone. What's the point?

She's assuming that Trump disregarded the wellbeing of those around Him. How can she know that he did this? No one knows if anyone got the virus from him. I said I would like to know if any of those people she listed is exhibiting symptoms. His press secretary who tested positive said she was having no symptoms at all last night when she was interviewed on Fox News....
.
The very fact that he went out in the car and would have had security guards and a driver IS disregarding the well being of those around him, those in the car with him, for a journey that he didn’t have to make. It was unnecessary risk.

Oh, but he had a mask on in the car!

No offense, my friend, but I'm kind of done with these silly accusations. :)

The Secret Service wasn't happy about Trump's political stunt and photo-op either.

My conclusions and thoughts on the matter were based on my own personal views when I saw the news, and also when I read his tweets. I personally thought it was a stupid thing to do , and a risk. Guess it comes from working in a care home , always have to weigh up risks to others and do risk assessments. You know the welfare of those around us, but I guess to some thats a stupid attitude to have as a Christian !

It baffled me. Why not just walk in as he'd normally did?

He may have watched Evita too many times. I read it was his favorite Broadway show. Someone compared his "balcony" appearance to Eva Peron's song in that show. Someone else said now Madonna didn't hold the record for the worst Eva Peron impersonation. Too bad for him, there was no cheering crowd for his performance. I found it bizarre. I've seen Presidents salute the members of the guard when they got on or off planes, but I never saw anything like that.

There are some parallels between Trump and Eva Peron in real life -- from show biz to politics and so on. Here's Madonna doing her impersonation. I know Eva didn't say it in fact, but the line "all you have to do is look at me and know that every word is true" seemed eerily Trumpesque.

It doesn't take much for a person to care about the personal well-being and safety of other human beings, but this is Donald Trump we're talking about. This is the same man who said he could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and he wouldn't lose any voters.

“I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and wouldn’t lose any voters, ok? It’s, like, incredible.”

If I were planning these things, I'd be surrounding the president with people who had recently gotten over Covid, long enough to not be viral, recent enough to have immunity.

So if I can think of that, I'll bet others can.

Much love!
