Just minutes after the president’s doctors painted a rosy picture of his condition on television, Mark Meadows, the White House chief of staff, gave reporters outside Walter Reed National Military Medical Center a far more sober assessment off camera, calling Mr. Trump’s vital signs worrisome and warning that the next two days would be pivotal to the outcome of the illness.

“The president’s vitals over the last 24 hours were very concerning, and the next 48 hours will be critical in terms of his care,” Mr. Meadows told the reporters, asking not to be identified by name. “We’re still not on a clear path to a full recovery.”

Also, from the article.

The mixed messages only exacerbated the uncertainties surrounding the president’s situation. During their televised briefing, the doctors refused to provide important details and gave timelines that conflicted with earlier White House accounts, leaving the impression that the president was sick and had begun treatment earlier than officially reported. The White House physician later released a statement insisting that he and his colleagues had misspoken.

The inconsistencies and confusion may presage an unsettling period for the president and the country. As the doctors indicated, it may be a week to 10 days before the course of Mr. Trump’s illness becomes clear, leaving America, as well as its allies and adversaries, guessing about the leadership in the world’s only superpower in the final days of a momentous election campaign.

White House officials sought to project as much of a business-as-usual image as possible, insisting that the president could govern from his hospital bed and that there was no need to transfer power to Vice President Mike Pence. Even as doctors hovered over Mr. Trump, his staff on Friday night and Saturday issued a report on his buy-American drive, announced some minor appointments and released a proclamation on Fire Prevention Week.

But in reality, Mr. Trump has had difficult and even scary moments since being diagnosed with the virus that has killed more than 208,000 in the United States so far. Two people close to the White House said in separate interviews with The New York Times that the president had had trouble breathing on Friday and that his oxygen level had dropped, prompting his doctors to give him supplemental oxygen while he was at the White House and to transfer him to Walter Reed, where he could be monitored with better equipment and treated more rapidly in case of trouble.

President Trump made a video after the confusing message from Mark Meadows and I bet President Trump talked to Meadows too.

The article addressed the video Trump released.

The comments infuriated the president, according to people close to the situation, and he intervened directly to counter the perception that he was sicker than the White House had admitted. Within hours, he posted a message on Twitter saying, “I am feeling well!” and called his friend and personal lawyer Rudolph W. Giuliani to have him convey a message to the outside world. “I’m going to beat this,” Mr. Trump told him.

By evening, the president released a four-minute video meant to reassure the nation, showing him sitting at a conference table at the hospital and wearing a suit jacket but no tie. He looked wan and sounded less energetic than usual in a rambling message that included campaign talk and boasts about his record.

He acknowledged that he “wasn’t feeling so well” but said that he felt “much better now” and that he expected to return to work shortly. “I think I’ll be back soon, and I look forward to finishing up the campaign the way we started,” he said, although he acknowledged, like Mr. Meadows, that the next few days would be “the real test.”

...calling Mr. Trump’s vital signs worrisome...
This is false information.

"President Trump’s physicians spoke to the media this morning and reported very encouraging news. The president is reportedly fever-free and has not had shortness of breath, according to Dr. Sean Conley. According to Conley, the president is not on oxygen and his medical team remains cautiously optimistic. The last oxygen-saturation level taken while the president was walking around was 96%. Normal levels are 95-100%."

It is very sad to see that Mr. Trump knew all about the extremely effect HCQ package designed by Dr. Vladimir Zelenko, yet chose to allow Fraudulent Fauci to take control, and promote extremely expensive Remdesivir, while maliciously sabotaging HCQ. It has been reported that Trump is now on Remdesivir, which is not even half as effective as HCQ, and a thousand times more expensive.

All of his family and staff should have had the HCQ package since March, and had that been the case the President would not be in Walter Reed Hospital today. Fauci sabotaged Trump, but Trump allowed him to do so instead of firing him over three years ago.

There have been conflicting reports about Trump's actual medical condition. Honestly, this wouldn't be the first time that the medical condition of the President of the United States was withheld from the public: Presidents have often deceived the public about their illnesses.

The fact that they would be extremely evasive about when his last test was, and if and when he was receiving oxygen or not, speaks volumes about how much the White House official version of things can be trusted. He's trying to win an election, and he knows the implications in letting the truth out. Trump isn't stupid. In most cases of Covid, no one comes down with the severe symptoms he had on Friday unless they have had it for the better part of a week, which means he likely kept things hush hush so he could attend the debate. It would explain why he seemed to be particularly nasty, like almost from the start.

Anyway, it's obvious they are blowing smoke. The conclusions as to why seem obvious enough.

It's strange there is very mixed information about this, I saw a little news line about the doctors story this morning, that his breathing had been normal for the last 24 hours and his fever had gone?

Inside Walter Reed: What President Trump Had to Say About His COVID Diagnosis
Inside Walter Reed: What President Trump Had to Say About His COVID Diagnosis

As usual, kindly IGNORE all the garbage coming from the depraved Leftist media.
You think Melania is part of the "depraved Leftist media"? The things you say!

She tweeted: https://twitter.com/FLOTUS/status/1311900591174680581?ref_src=twsrc^google|twcamp^serp|twgr^tweet

As too many Americans have done this year,
@potus
& I are quarantining at home after testing positive for COVID-19. We are feeling good & I have postponed all upcoming engagements. Please be sure you are staying safe & we will all get through this together.
The next thing I heard was he had gotten on Marine One and gone to Walter Reed.

I didn't realize that Fox News, which is right-wing conservative, is part of the "depraved leftist media” either.

Trump’s medical team says he is doing ‘very well’; official warns next 48 hours are ‘critical’

I don't trust Trump or his White House cohorts to tell the American public the truth about his health. Trump is a pathological liar who exhibits narcissistic behavior and his personal staff is chock full of Yes-Men. Being under Trump's thumb, they can't be trusted to tell the truth either.

Media outlets suggest White House 'can't be trusted' to be truthful about Trump's health

Maybe we oughtn't believe anything unless we hear it from the mouth of our Fearless Leader himself, Ole Bone Spurs.

I am beginning to think maybe even Trump supporters don't believe what comes out of the White House. It's like a game. If Trump or some spokesman says something, you parrot it to show your loyalty. And if someone disagrees, you call them part of the "depraved leftist media" or a "socialist."

Making angry knee-jerk accusations like "depraved leftist media" or a "socialist" is a weak debating tactic. It's an ad hominem fallacy to attack a news source rather than address the position the article is maintaining. It tells me that the person can't honestly refute the contents of the article, so they lash out in anger and resort to name-calling. I think it's pointless to engage someone like that in a debate because they won't listen.

Yes, it's not something to be taken too seriously. What it tells me is that they feel they're losing the argument and can't come up with rational arguments, so they throw a hissy-fit and start calling names. It seems to me that men are more apt to engage in that kind of thing -- perhaps they feel if they act macho enough, people will shut up and accept their authority.

Very concerning- is simply man projecting guesswork, like all men do.

Covid 19 Positive Test results of Trump.
...Which Covid 19 Test?
The Test that Many Covid viruses are seen in a single human cell ?
Or the Test repeatedly magnified to find ONE Covid virus in a single human cell?

No details.
