And many are not! (What is your source?)

There is often a medical need for terminating a pregnancy, but that doesn't enter the minds of those who find the need to judge others as being murderers. => We are commanded to love others <= God is the judge, not the self-appointed.

The data and graphs are widely available proving that a large portion of abortions are performed for unintended pregnancy. Stopping those would be a step in the right direction.

All I can say is, it's a real good thing Gabriel stepped in to let Joseph know everything was cool before he put Mary away.
I heard they stoned people back then for being accused of adultery.
Hey Joseph, it's cool man, your girl wasn't foolin round on ya bro.
That child she's carrying, well it's special.
Consider it a gift from God.
Now go on man, get your girl. Tell her you luv her.
Take care of her. And when things get rough we will give you directions.
See, your gonna have to take a long journey and hang out in Egypt for awhile
and when it's all clear, we'll send word.
But in the meantime you have to go up to Jerusalem and pay your taxes.
Yeah, I know.. Death and taxes.. wait till 2020.. oh never mind
Now when you get near there you going to need some shelter
cause the baby will be ready to meet the world.
There won't be no hotel or some fancy bed and breakfast waiting for ya.
But we supplied a umm roof and some hay. You'll be fine.
We sent message to some friends so they'll be coming along to help with your finances.
Kinda like child tax credits and stuff.
And when that kid gets older, He's gonna save the world.
So go on now Joseph, no worries, we got this.

"God" is a pretty general term i guess; which "God" did you have in mind? :)
God of the Bible, Jesus!
that is the term, btw, that began my education in translations; many, many Scriptural Titles are xlated simply "God" in English
"How is people showing love going to make them repent and stop abortion?" Because we are commanded by Jesus (quoting the OT) to love our neighbor as ourselves. How can anyone call themselves a Christian and not love others? John 3:16a, "For God so loved the world..."

For the umpteenth time, abortion simply means the termination of a pregnancy. There are many reason for a fetus to be aborted, among them being fetal anomalies that would prevent the child from existing outside the womb, the mother's life is at risk if she brings the baby to term, and others.

This knee-jerk reaction to a medical procedure is not only naive, it is cruel. Try believing medical experts instead of the right wing press that depends on the ignorance and fear of their readers/listeners.
I wonder what percent of abortions are for birth control. I also wonder what the record is for abortions by one female.

So you choose the King James translation and say that is the only one to be used in the discussion? And you claim that other translations are biased! Really?

This is the fastest way to "blow up" a debate, since you're dictating that others must follow your rules.
The KJV is the oldest translation to be created using the election process.

The others are just one man's word against the other, like.."he said, she said".

You and I can get a degree ans invent our own translation and "suckers" will buy it.

We can even use SIRI as our translator...LOL

I choose ancient language translators, translating ancient writings over modern translators trying to translate ancient writings any day of the week.

When Jesus returns in the clouds we are told that many will call for the rocks and the mountains to fall on them to be hidden from the face of the lamb. Why is that I wonder....what is so frightening or dangerous about a lamb? .....or is it that their reality is so twisted that projection is the default position?......the choices they've made so distorts their perception that black becomes white and white becomes black.

Isn't it the enemy that misrepresents God's character?.....making God out to be wrathful and unjust .......projecting his own character onto God?

hey hey......yeahhhh, this is how God is.....he identifies with folk. Forget the Cathedrals, the fancy religious garb, the bells and smells, the somber religious processions with top hats and copious displays of gold jewellery.... annnnnnnd, the feigned humility of a system that loves the praise of men and the power of domination.

Were it not so the projection would wear the face of a Nazarene who knew not where to lay his head.

I found a pearl today. I like the way it shimmers. I would like to share my pearl with you.
My pearl may not be as specially pretty to some, other people got prettier pearls than mine.
But this is it, wanna see?

Rev 21:23
And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

There it is. What do you think?
To me it means the Lamb IS the Glory of God.
I suppose it could be that same Glory that Moses had shining on his face and he had to cover it cause it was so bright.
And many people will see the unveiled face, not like Moses who had his covered.
And they will freak out. Not everybody though, but many.
Some people don't like to come to the light, so looks like the light is going to come to them.
And the light exposes the darkness. Exposes their sins.
And it will be more reasonable for them to dig deep and hide than to face the truth.

Projection is deflection.
Don't look at me, look at them.
Except when the Lamb comes the spotlight will be on me and me alone. And there will be nowhere to run and nowhere to hide.

And I think we all tend to believe that God is what we want him to be.
Or to use him to justify our own actions.
I totally like your pearl..

Oh YES ...and what a pearl it IS! .....all the angels and the representatives of God's Creation throughout the Universe fell on their faces before the Throne and worshipped God, saying; "....Amen! Blessings and glory and wisdom, Thanksgiving and honour and power and might, Be to our God forever and ever. Amen".......seven times!....this is not just happenstance.....seven is the number of wholeness / completeness....the lamb IS the glory of God! Revelation 7:9-12

You don't think about the MILLIONS of babies murdered by the Dems? I think about it nearly every day and the pain and terror those little babies feel while being murdered.

whether for judgement, or entertainment, what would be the benefit of that kind of reflection, iyo? i just dont see the point. Do you really think democrats have a higher rate of abortions than republicans? Guess that would be hard to track, but your "question" there seems a bit biased, at best?

Seems to me ol' pj chose the perfect v there, which unfortunately makes me a raging hypocrite i guess, but really isnt this about your own mental health? Bc what can you do about other people having abortions, really? Besides tie yourself up in knots, i mean? The Bible calls that peering in i guess, fwiw

God of the Bible, Jesus!
hmm ok :)

You don't think about the MILLIONS of babies murdered by the Dems?
I never been to law school.
But these Supreme Court nomonation hearings have been an awesome learning experience for me.
I learned a lot about when the SCOTUS can and can't put it's foot on other States necks.
I'm sure if I ever run for Supreme Court this summary I'm about to write, can and will be used against me.
I don't have much worries about that though.

Your accusation puts the full weight on Democrats.
States Rights vs. the Supreme Court.. aka Roe vs Wade.
Decision:
Roe v. Wade, legal case in which the U.S. Supreme Court on January 22, 1973, ruled (7–2) that unduly restrictive state regulation of abortion is unconstitutional.
How did they come to this conclusion?
In a majority opinion written by Justice Harry A. Blackmun, the Court held that a set of Texas statutes criminalizing abortion in most instances violated a woman’s constitutional right of privacy, which it found to be implicit in the liberty guarantee of the due process clause of the Fourteenth Amendment (“…nor shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law”).

So in my own words. The Supreme Court decided that Texas was stepping over the line by denying not only a woman's right to privacy, but also life, liberty and property.
And of course where one State falls they all fall.

Now the vote was 7-2. Who's on the seats?
The decision was 7-2, with Chief Justice Warren E. Burger and six other Justices voting for "Jane Roe", and Justices William Rehnquist and Byron White voting against it. The decision divided the nation and is still controversial today.
The others are: Blackmun, joined by Burger, Douglas, Brennan, Stewart, Marshall, Powell.

You know how this all started?
McCorvey revealed herself to the press as being "Jane Roe" soon after the decision was reached, stating that she had sought an abortion because she was unemployable and greatly depressed.

SMH o_O

The decision involved the case of a woman named Norma McCorvey—known in her lawsuit under the pseudonym "Jane Roe"—who in 1969 became pregnant with her third child. McCorvey wanted an abortion, but she lived in Texas, where abortion was illegal except when necessary to save the mother's life. She was referred to lawyers Sarah Weddington and Linda Coffee, who filed a lawsuit on her behalf in U.S. federal court against her local district attorney, Henry Wade, alleging that Texas's abortion laws were unconstitutional. A three-judge panel of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas heard the case and ruled in her favor. Texas then appealed this ruling directly to the U.S. Supreme Court, which agreed to hear the case.
well, there's a lot of history in wiki about the case.
The original reason for seeking an abortion was based on a lie though. She told the court she had been raped thinking that was a legal reason for an abortion. At the time it wasn't. Only in cases of the Mother's health was it even up for consideration.
So she changed her story, found some lawyers to take the case, they won in the lower courts and was challenged by the State of Texas to take it to the Supreme Court.

Now in my own opinion...
I believe the only way to fix this is to put the decisions back in States hands and let them decide what is acceptably constitutional or not.
The very foundation of the decision was based on a lie.
I think that should be considered.
Morally, ethically, judiciously, and any other-ly there is.
But then I'm bias because my own foundational belief says No way.
That's why I'm not worried about being on a court bench.

I tell you a little secret though I never talked about, as far as thinking about it.
I had a dream one night. I was kind of inbetween sleep and awake, that dozing area.
I saw in my mind what looked like every abortion that ever was or will be.
I barely made it to the bathroom to vomit.
I was so distraught I called into work for 3 days saying I was sick and couldn't come in.
By the 4th day I quit my job.

I can't think about a lot of atrocities like where rib eye and pork chops come from.
I won't discuss hunting.
I know these things are out there and there isn't much I can do about it.
The only thing I can do is not eat rib eye and pork chops..
or go hunting.

MUCH LOVE
HUGS

@Ziggy I thought Charlton Heston sounded a good narrator for documentaries, anyway... (He represented the NRA, didn't he?)
Gee, all i remembered about Charlton Heston was he played Moses in the Ten Commandments and He starred in the Planet of the apes.
Religion meet Darwanism.. LOL
I found this though:
In the 1950s and 1960s, he was one of a handful of Hollywood actors to speak openly against racism, and was an active supporter of the Civil Rights Movement. Heston left the Democratic Party in 1971 to become a Republican, founding a conservative political action committee and supporting Ronald Reagan. Heston was a five-term president of the National Rifle Association (NRA), from 1998 to 2003. After announcing he had Alzheimer's disease in 2002, he retired from both acting and the NRA presidency.

Just curious.
Wolves in sheeps clothing dear. A real Christian will address the content and will not attack you personally. A real Christian will not judge you as if your question is bias, and they will be either in agreement with you or disagreement but never disrespectful.
