(Rom 9:11) (for the children had not yet been born, neither had done any good or evil; but that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works but of Him who called,)
(Rom 9:12) it was said to her, "The elder shall serve the younger."
(Rom 9:13) As it is written, "Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated."
Before they were even born, God hated Esau and loved Jacob. And after they were born, too. James Dobson said, "I know of no other scripture that I have such a hard time with. This does not fit my understanding of God." What a sad, sad statement. He does not agree with God, and thus says that there is a problem with this scripture. We have all sorts of believers that do this, with all sorts of topics. Some discount up to 90% of the scriptures, simply because they do not agree with what the person believes to be the truth. We have this done in all sorts of topics, such as homosexuals, adultery, creations, etc..
God says that He hated Esau even while Esau as in the womb. And that He love Jacob while Jacob was in the womb.
Doesn't fit most believers beliefs. Most believers are wrong. God is right.
But most Christians are so blindly arrogant, that they will fly in the face of numerous scriptures, and state that they are more spiritual than God Himself, and of course, far more spiritual than those who believe the scriptures to be true when they state repeatedly that God hates the wicked.
But then again,, they are the same "Christians" that state that we don't have the mind of Christ. Obviously, according to scripture, they are speaking for themselves. They deny even those scriptures! There seems to be no limit to the scriptures that they will deny, even while professing Christ. Phenomenal blindness and hardness of heart.
And of course, they will try to pull another one and assume the "high road". Novel. And Christ said that they will reject the truth that is placed before them, and then turn against the person that gave the truth of the scriptures. Called them swine. He was right, of course.
Funny thing, that, since He was wrong on these other things like hating the wicked.
