I try to hide the posts, but I have had to unfollow some, even family, because every single post is about politics, usually attacking President Trump. And now President Biden (which I am praying about it, all I can say)...just saddens me.

Then I was stupid and posted a question about "do you wear a mask. Why or why not."

And I said I did, but do not believe they work. I wear them, because I want others to feel safe. I am not afraid to get it or spread it. So I got some nasty responses from that from people I know personally. Even, "I'll pray for your soul," like my attitude will send me to Hell. Would they rather me be on florida beach partying with no masks or clothes on? Seriously. I was very disappointed in my friends. Especially when we eat out together. What, wear a mask for 30 seconds in a place to sit down. If I didn't care, I would not wear one. My pastor doesnt. Neither does my husband.

I notice that anytime I look into politics or other heavier subjects, it just seems to drain my entire spirit. Anyone else experience this? I know I cannot just ignore important matters, but I am not that place yet in my faith where these things don't effect me. I would like it to get to a point where it doesn't seem to steal my peace at all. Coupled with not knowing what to believe anymore as far as world news go, I wonder how much energy, if any, I need to put into it. All I know, is I have had a lot more joy in my spirit since I have cut certain things off. Today, I just looked at some things concerning President Trump again and Biden cancelling Operation Talon...it still hasn't changed. I still am sad. There is injustice being done.
Not everyone is cut out to do battle with the forces of evil and darkness. You are probably at that stage in your spiritual life when you should simply ignore the fierce conflict that is all around you and focus on Christ alone, and feed on the Word of God.

The political warfare in America is an important part of the spiritual warfare worldwide. Satan has made a serious grab for power over all the free peoples of the world in 2020, and Joseph Biden is his slave doing his bidding in 2021. Also, Trump failed to consistently do battle with the evildoers, and allowed traitors and Judases to control his agenda, and eventually steal his victory. Therefore America is now moving into Totalitarianism, in which the Devil is the boss of all the evildoers. The end game will be the reign of the Antichrist under Satan.

But that is not the end of the story. Christ will destroy the Unholy Trinity (the Dragon, the Beast, and the False Prophet) and they will remain the Lake of Fire for eternity.

Pick a subject any subject. The battle is not yours. When a person steps in to do anything in the world, the battle's ensue. Simple moto is pick your battle's if you must. Be led, touch not, taste not. Sounds simple. The world system is fixed and trying to change anything in the world is very draining on people. Be yourself and stay out of the world. One of our favorite battle's we pick is changing how the world should sin, quite consuming.

Makes it even more discouraging though. I go on facebook and friends with great faith on both sides, are at each other's throats. True things are flagged false. It is just crazy.

Yeah, this and YouTube is all I do as social media.

I thought maybe with this, I will give it until the end of Lent before infowars again. God has always protected me and my family, and if anything happens between here and Easter, I will handle it then.

I think every single Christian needs to press more into Christ during these times. He is our rock to help us through all things.

God controls the past, present and future.

Never forget that.

There is a purpose for everything that happens in God's plan.

Consider the lilies....

Politics is like a Sewer, you get in with any side and you feel such is a fact. It's all about casting delusions over the people.
When do you come across a truly honest Political person, never ! for if you did they would eat you alive and the people would as well, it's just as it was in the days of the Jews, the majority of people are lost and look to the thief on the cross to be taken down before such as a truly innocent one, because they love the thief ? why did they love the thief more, because they can see themselves in such a one.

It's a Sewer and all the pigs are at the feeding bin looking after number one first and foremost as you have to or you will be left in the ditch.

Political Correctness is a Socialist utopia concept that all become as one in the political Bubble, you are owned by the Bubble and one can not get out of it.
Political Correctness is a god to Socialist Communist Satanist, it's there utopian world and they dictate all the rules for you.
Look at Communist Germany they had to build a wall to keep the people in, or they would of lost the majority of there people walking out, that's why they had to build the wall and shoot anyone trying to get out, just look at all that they did to keep the people in. talk about loopy ! not to mention totally Sicking lengths they will go to and the cunning oh the boy cunning, they are still at it, only it's another ball game being touted in disguise, that the majority nowadays is totally oblivious to it all, yes so were most of all the people that ended up enslaved under Communism. the wolves love Communism.

Hello @Mayflower,

I know just what you mean, for it has the same effect on me. The verses that come to my mind at the moment in regard to this are written by Paul to Timothy, and to the Ephesians:-

'Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life;
that he may please Him who hath chosen Him to be a soldier.'

(2 Timothy 2:3)

* Our warfare is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual wickedness isn't it?

'Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might.
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers,
against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God,
that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day,
and having done all, to stand.

(Eph 6:10-13)

'Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth,
and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Above all, taking the shield of faith,
wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit,
and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;'

(Eph 6:14-18)

* Enjoy your family as I know you do, Mayflower: by being a Mum and a Wife; for that is sufficient in itself isn't it? You could not have a more important role to play, for the hand that rocks the cradle rules the world they say. Love that man of yours, and rejoice in your Lord, and He will keep you and be your strength.

With love in Christ Jesus

True great scriptures. I don't want to answer for mayflower but imo doing your part in the world if you feel led is what a person can do. But the down side is getting caught up with all the chatter on both sides (saint-sinner) and life becomes like reading the Enquire. Truth you have gets lost or at best compromised. The scriptures you gave should be heeded. Politicing is no different than any other event or issue in the world, you need to keep your distance, have no opinion and vote if you feel led. Christians loose when they go all in, what is lost? Their purpose. That may be to heavy for mayflower if she is a young christian. But just because believers involve themselves doesn't make it right. So I think her asking the question she asked is very viable for the times we live in.

Good voice, pitch and song. I used to be a professional singer and musician. Music can take you away and calm your spirit - sing! My mother used to sing in the house all the time when I was young - she and my Dad were pros too.
I feel your disappointment. ROM. 1:28 is comforting, He causes all things to work for good for believers. Knowing that God is sovereign and NO ONE will get away with anything. Judgment is coming. Trump could not fix the nation anyways, it's too corrupt. Only Jesus can fix this world and rid it of corruption. That's how you find comfort. Just work, live, sing and take care of those little ones until then.

Cotton candy icecream with gummy bears is a highly political and controversial topic for one. We were discussing it yesterday for a family fun day. LOL. But she liked it.
