Do you think Christian's debating Christian's is a good thing or a bad thing?

In Eph. 6 we are told that a Christian's weapon is the sWord of the Spirit aka, the Word of God. We may be debating scripture, but I consider it SHARPENING our sWord as we train against ourselves. One whips out their sWord and another whips out theirs to counter attack. It may look and seem to be a bloody battle... but know that it is really pulling us closer and closer into perfect unity as one body in Christ aka The Word of God by the Spirit of Truth.



Eph 6:10-19
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

Debating is very good. The only issue is that Christians are very set in their ways, which is a good thing as we should all have confidence in our foundation and the house we have built, albeit a bit skewer then other brethren. Only time and the Holy Spirit brings real change. So we really need to exercise love and patience.

I always remind myself of how Jesus spoke to the devil. He spoke so nicely and gave the devil the time of day to speak. We need patience and love in debates with even the unsaved.

Yes debating is good when we come together and reason from the scriptures as they are written which is what I am suggesting in my op.
But I am not suggesting when we want to see only what we want the scriptures to say and become divided.

If you have a loaf of bread should not the whole loaf taste exactly the same? Yes it should since all the ingredients have been evenly mixed. So should it be with the Bread of life which is the Word of God whom we know as our E-manual or God with us who is Christ the Word who was sent from the Father's mouth above to became flesh and dwelt among us. There can be no "he said or she said".. for it is ONLY what does the WORD SAY! That is the only truth that God is expecting us to accept and be in unity in.. for the image of the invisible God is His Word(Jesus) and Jesus(The Word) revealed in his flesh and in scripture the Father.
If you have seen God's Word in action then you have seen the Father. If you read the Word then it is revealing to you the Father and His ways so taste the Lord(Word,Bread of life and living water) and see that He is good! Feed your spirit of the ONE TRUE Word(Bread without leaven/sin) and learn from him to be made alive strong and healthy as you day by day sacrifice that sinful flesh that keeps you from seeing your promised land in the kingdom of God for flesh and blood(carnal nature of the dead) CAN NOT inherit the kingdom of God. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem...to come into your grasp~ Enter into His rest~
Luke 17:20-21
20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

Conquer the giant(old flesh man who holds you bondage) and you will be like the believing Hebrews who seen all the BIG GRAPES that God wanted to give them if they just had faith to TAKE OVER THE GIANT(our bigger than life flesh that is holding us back) and made it to the promised land that God said was theirs if they would just take Him at His Word(Christ) and go get it.

When we sharpen our sWords as we train one with another it is not to be in defiance or hatred, we are not to stand firm on a divided front, for it is not God who divides and conquers for division causes ruin.... unity as in all of one mind one accord is what God is looking for, for it brings peace.

1 Cor 10:17
17 For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.
