Please pray for my wife Linda. She has drifted away from the Jehovah;s Witnesses religion and feels she can no longer have God's protection. She has an endoscopy scheduled on September 16 and is afraid she will die during the procedure. Pray for her salvation and peace of mind.

An endoscopy is a minimally invasive diagnostic medical procedure... It is not dangerous or scary, just a
minor procedure that usually takes 15-20 minutes. To my knowledge, no one has ever died from an endoscopy.

Tell your wife that God's love extends to all who believe in Him and love Him, its not exclusively restricted to Jehovah's
Witnesses. Also tell Linda that you've checked the bible, and no where did Jesus say that a persons protection was dependent on a specific denomination :)

Best wishes and lots of luck.

Hi newlife,

I'm sorry to hear that your wife needs an endoscopy. Please tell her that her windpipe is protected by rings of cartilage which cannot collapse while the endoscopy is going down her oesophagus. I looked this up in an encyclopedia online: 'The esophagus, which passes food from the pharynx to the stomach, is about 25 cm (10 inches) in length; the width varies from 1.5 to 2 cm (about 1 inch).' That means the endoscope is not too big for the throat, either.

Let us all pray that as the day approaches, she will feel calm and hopeful, and even happy that she is receiving appropriate care which will lead to her recovery, or, reassurance that all is well. May she be reassured of God's love for her and feel thankful towards Him for His protection.

Blessings, brother. :)

This might turn out to be a blessing. When she doesn't die she will hopefully overcome some of her fear that is keeping her in bondage.

Dear Newlife,

I prayed to The Almighty for a sign, and got these two words : hammered ring.

I take it to mean Linda's esophagus is being held together by HIM.

As for her leaving JW, do they not believe in Jesus' sacrifice ? I am sorry, I am not well versed on their doctrine. Please forgive me.

With Much Love,

It is a good thing to walk away from the JWs, And God loves her and wants to bless her, Just like He does to everyone.
Tell here not to fear, Job feared a fear and it came upon him, And that which he greatly feared came upon him, Fear is faith in the bad things, And has just as much power as Faith in God for good things.
So tell Linda not to fear but trust in God, And thank Him for everything going well with the endoscopy.
