Why do you want to whitewash the truth?
Questions are intended for answers and sometimes we should be questioning our own preconceptions.
How does one learn about God? 99% of what we learn is from the bible, you may argue with that percentage, ultimatly it is the bible that teaches us and it tells us two basic facts.
God is holy
We are sinners.
If one disputes these then one needs to reexamin ones starting point, because if God is not holy, if we are not sinners where does that leave us?
In my opion an unholy God would be unjust and we would not be able to trust such a God for anything.
So do keep asking question, joining atheist would leave you worse off as they have even fewer answers to your questions.
I don't dispute those points.
My problem is with the description of God the church has provided us with.
What you call holy is not holy at all. A God that incinerates His "enemies". (made in His image)
There is nothing holy about a forever burning hell.
I thought God was in the restoration business.
A forever burning hell is pointless and sadistic.
Same is true for the annihilation of the wicked.
Everyone has a story. A holy God would get to the bottom of it.

I'm not interested in what the church or a church says God is or is not.
I'm interested in how the bible says what God is.
If you are not willing to accept how the bible describes God, how do you know anything about God?
What is holiness?
What is sin?
Mostly about the origins and nature of the Bible and differing views of hell. (final judgement)
Christians seem to think that the Bible only speaks one way.
I think more depends on the person being spoken to than what is being spoken.
What does it mean to them?

I think most of us have had the experience while reading the Bible when a certain word or phrase stands out on the page.
The Spirit is highlighting something for us specifically. The message is for us personally.
(Eph 4:1) I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,
(Eph 4:2) With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
(Eph 4:3) Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
(Eph 4:4) There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
(Eph 4:5) One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
(Eph 4:6) One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
(Eph 4:7) But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

I am sure nothing was deliberately concealed from you. It was not until I started taking part on a forum that I realised the errors of tradition myself, and the issues upon which believers differ: and it was not until I became aware of the unity of the Spirit in Ephesians chapter four (above) that I recognised the plumb-line whereby we are measured.
This unity was secured by the Lord Jesus Christ Himself when He broke down the middle wall of partition between us, having abolished in His flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances, for to make in Himself of twain one new man, so making peace (Eph. 4:11-16).
So anything that destroys that peace, so dearly bought, must be brought to the word of God and measured against what is written.

The Holy Spirit does use His sword (the word of God) to quicken and teach us on a personal level as we read: but it is not open to private interpretation (2 Pet. 1:20). If it were, there would be chaos, and God is not the author of confusion (1 Cor. 14:33), but the Author and Finisher of our faith, in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ (Hebrews 12:2).

Many struggle with that.
Like the man that was let down in front of Jesus through the roof.
Jesus forgave his sin. But how do you know this is true?
So Jesus made him walk. Tangible evidence.
Oftentimes the tangible evidence is seen by others around us.
They can see that we are different.
