Reader,

You've probably read this verse.... Rom 10:13......> "For Whosoever will call upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved".

So, before we pursue this teaching by Paul, notice that this verse by Paul eliminates a core false teaching of Calvinism, which teaches that God only chooses the pre-determined elected, to be saved.
Take note of Paul's Rom 10:13 verse ....and notice carefully that Paul teaches that "whosoever" is always allowed to come to God through Christ and not as Calvin's hyper-calvinism lie teaches....."only the pre-destined, pre-chosen".

Now, Paul teaches that if you call on the Lord by faith, God will save you.

What does it mean to "call on the Lord"?

It means that you have become enlightened by the Holy Spirit to understand that you are lost, you are a sinner needing God's Salvation, so you reach out to God and Christ........how?

A.) by FAITH

And when you do, then Paul teaches that this happens to you.......Romans 10:10...."with the HEART a person believes unto : RIGHTEOUSNESS".

See that?
That means that You gave your faith to God, and God gave you His own Righteousness.. as "the GIFT of Righteousness"

This is "the Gift of Righteousness".....This is....."Imputed righteousness"... and this is Paul's verse that explains How David in the OT saw God giving righteousness.......as a gift without works.
Its exactly the same way that God gave His Righteousness to Abraham.......when "Abraham Believed God and God imputed righteousness unto Abraham".

All of this is Paul's Doctrine : "The Righteousness of FAITH".

A.) Romans 4:6 : "Even as David also described the BLESSEDNESS of the person unto whom God imputeth righteousness (Gives it to you for free).... Without WORKS".

Reader,
we are to never try to earn or perform... to try to merit or attain God's Righteousnes that is "The Gift of Salvation".
We are to understand that God has given to each believer, His own Righteousness, that is only and completely based on ..

AA.) """But to those who worketh NOT, but Believeth on GOD who justifies the UNGODLY.... their FAITH is counted (by God) as (Christ's) Righteousness"... = imputed to them.

Now, the key is... the spiritual Gain is.. the Revelation is........ that if you are born again, you are to understand that your Salvation is not just the eternal forgiveness of your sin, but moreso, you have been GIFTED forever, with God's own Righteousness.

And when you see this in your heart of Faith....and understand this and accept this, vs struggling with it because your flesh always wrongly tries to EARN God's Gift........then once you get your faith right having believed that you are MADE RIGHTEOUS, without works or commandment keeping or trying to be good.....then you have "submitted to the rightousness of God"... as your REAL FAITH and you have taken a big step into the understanding of God's Amazing Grace.

So...When you do this, when you get there... then you have entered into the "unity of the faith" that is the correct and renewed MIND, that Paul describes as having put on the : "Helmet of Salvation".
Paul the Apostle, also teaches that once you gain this <inner> revelation regarding the "imputed righteousness of God", then you have entered into ......"as many as be perfect" "having the same mind", "the unity of THE Faith".

Reader,

Are you trying to be right with God, or are you understanding that you have eternally been made righteous by God through Christ. ?

See, if you are trying to be good and do right, hoping that God will accept you and keep you, then you are literally chasing the OLD Covenant, whereby your deeds are your idea of being saved, and yet... you can't be saved by the Law or by your deeds.

Whereas..

The NEW Covenant,......is......"Grace and TRUTH" came by Jesus......and that Grace is God's eternal forgiveness and acceptance of you based not on your behavior, but only based on the finished work of Jesus on The Cross.
See that '" new covenant"....? That is the Blood Atonement, whereby God accepts your FAITH in Christ to accept you and esteem you as RIGHTEOUS, forever.

Now which covenant do you want to be under?
The one that judges you as unrighteous and damned by the Law, or the NT New Covenant, whereby your FAITH is accepted by God, as your eternal righteousness?

A.) "justification BY Faith" "without works or deeds of the Law". = This is your Salvation. So put your complete faith in Christ..... and not in yourself and your performance.

Reader, God does not accept us based on how we behave, He only accepts us based on what Christ has accomplished for us, on The Cross.

Welcome to : Salvation.

Its a ""GIFT""" from God.......Its JESUS. He is our Salvation. He is our Eternal Life. He is our Righteousness.

Reader,

Notice this verse...

Romans 3:24.....>"being justified FREELY, by God's Grace"

See that word "freely".? This means.......that there is no cause found in you, whereby God would esteem you as righteous.
In other words, the eternal CAUSE of your righteous standing before God is not based on you....but its based on JESUS's Cross., as the verse contiues to explain.... "through the redemption that is (found) IN Christ Jesus".

See that "Redemption"? That is "the GIFT of Righteousness"" that is based on the "blood atonement".

"deeds of righteousness", seems to be a phrase you made up, as you didnt connect it to a bible verse @faithhopecharity .

And if you do try to connect it to one, then BE SURE that you connect it to a NEW TESTAMENT verse, vs something you might find in the OLD Testament = Old Covenant where noone had yet become a Christian, as there are no Christians found in the Old Testament under the OLD Covenant.

How do you know? ???

A.) Where there is no CROSS of CHRIST, there is NO CHRISTIANITY yet begun as its the Cross of Christ that BIRTHED NEW TESTAMENT Christianity...., known as the "body of Christ"" and "the Church".

So, @faithhopecharity ...never try to prove that your WORKS before God are righteousnes, as this is is a religious heretics point of view when seen in the light of this verse.....

= There is "none righteous, no not one"......... so there is the status of every unbeliever, and their works... and what changes regarding their Christianity.,, isn't their works.......as "works are as a filthy rag", before God's Holiness.......so there goes our "works and self effort"" to try to be saved and stay saved./.
.... So, if we understand this, then we see that none of our WORKS , none of our SELF EFFORT, is ever going to be deemed by God as "righteous".
Therefore what then.... is become "RIGHTEOUS", based on God giving the believer = God's ""Gift of RIGHTEOUSNESS"...????

A.) =
Their Born again SPIRIT, that has become "IN Christ" as a "NEW CREATION".... and is now Eternally = "made righteousnes" by God's "Imputed Righteousness""". Paul teaches.
And this is the reason that a person's born again spirit had now and forever become "ONE with God"...= its because a Christian's born again Spirit has become "" """THE righteousness of God, in Christ".

And that is not a "work" that you you can do.......its only a GIFT from GOD that you can receive by Faith.

This is why Paul teaches....>"its not by (our works) but according to GOD's GRACE"... that " God Saves us".

just to clarify there are many types of works!

Unfruitful works:
a) works of the law

Refers to the unfruitful works of the mosaic covenant

b) works of the flesh

Listed in Gal 5:19-21 & Eph 5:3-5
these cause the loss of grace and the bar us from salvation in the kingdom of God. the unfruitful works of darkness

Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. eph 5:6

c) dead or natural works

Works that are good in and of themselves but are not in union with Christ and grace and have power to accomplish perseverance unto eternal salvation!

Apart from Christ: NOTHING! Jn 15:5

Living works or deeds of rightousness!

(living works) (faith & works)

Supernatural good works (gifts of God) accomplished in union with Christ and empowered by His grace with perseverance to the end of our life unto eternal salvation!

FAITH, HOPE, & CHARITY! 1 cor 13:13

fruitful works! Lk 3:9 Jn 15:5 bear fruit

2 cor 9: And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

With Christ & empowered by grace:
I CAN DO ALL THINGS! Phil 4:13

1 John 3:10
In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

Living works:
1 pet 2:15-16 good works
1 pet 2:20 acceptable to God
1 pet 2:21-22 suffer as Christ suffered

righteousness implies & requires acts (volition) of righteousness
just deeds unto faithfulness in the new covenant!
