the man who trust GodRomans 4:8
Blessed it the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
Who is this, to whom the Lord will not impute sin?

The rest of that chapter explains this. God imputes the righteousness of Christ to those who put their faith in Him and His finished work of redemption. Therefore the blood of Jesus Christ, God's Son, cleanses us from all sin.Who is this, to whom the Lord will not impute sin?
I’ll have to read up on this, but I’m pretty sure David’s child died as a result of his sin and his family fell all to pieces. But God redeems through his Fifth sonThe OT was.."Do bad= get bad"
In Jesus Christ it is "done bad ( but not get bad, it is not imputed = but it is not laid upon us, but upon Him")...therefore we forever walk close with Him, love binds us to Him.
David looked down the avenue of time..and saw us today.
Plus, David knew he should have been punished for his sins esp with killing Uriah to get his wife...David didn't get what was owed him...he got mercy.
Bless you...H
Psalm 51 is the great penitential Psalm. Very searching.I’ll have to read up on this, but I’m pretty sure David’s child died as a result of his sin and his family fell all to pieces. But God redeems through his Fifth son
Thanks Farouk.Psalm 51 is the great penitential Psalm. Very searching.
I'll transfer it to the other thread...

That’s a good argument for God choosing.True , the baby died...but I referred to him getting Uriah killed, so he could take his wife..murder. David never got what was due him..and he saw that in God..
God Himself calls him "David, a man after mine own heart"...not perfect in actions , but a heart running after God and in position of continual thanksgiving, worship and repentance.
The one that gets me is Lot.
There was Lot, quite settled there in Sodom... never tried to move elsewhere he had to be dragged out.
Incest with his two daughters producing Moab and Ammon ..( the curses to Israel!) Gen 19
Yet what did God say of him? -
7 "And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds".
And Abraham...there he was...going with Hagar to bring forth a son , instead of waiting for the promise of Isaac. And there he was, in fear lying to Pharaoh about Sarah so much so Pharaoh almost took her to wife!
God does not reckon this , God see the Father of Faith.
Gideon in fear, quaking and hiding from the enemy..and God jumps into his lefe saying ..I've chosen you, Mighty man of valour.
Praise God..
PS 103:8 "The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.
9 He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.
10 He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
11 For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.
12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
13 Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him.
14 For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust."
WOW, what a revelation David had of the Father heart of God..
Davids feet were in the OT, but his heart was in the NT.
He was a true prophet and a seer.
God Himself calls him "David, a man after mine own heart"...not perfect in actions, but a heart running after God and in position of continual thanksgiving, worship, and repentance.
And Gideon in fear, quaking and hiding from the enemy..and God jumps into his life saying ..I've chosen you..... Mighty man of valour.
