hello. i am a athiest. well sort of. i do believe in god but as a natural energy of creation as apposed to a judgemental superior being.however i recently fell in love with a woman who is of christian belief. the relationship has ended because she was preached by her sect that sex before marriage is a sin of god which i believe is incorrect.in my opinion this very subjected is what typifies the reasons to my many disbeliefs about this faith in its contradiction.we all know that making love is a beautiful and natural act shared between 2 people who love each other. when done intimately and faithfully to the person you love then its energy is pure and in my opinion does not need a marriage certificate to varify its genuinity.marriage carries a good energy. i have been told that it was created to stop men from leaving there lovers as single mothers. protecting women was nessasary but as we all know, even to this day marriage does not mean faithful.i however was faithful to my girl. i loved her so dearly and was never going to cheat on her. one day i was going to marry her for love. however she changed the energy of this by demanding no sex until marriage due to it being fornication in the eyes of god. i then said i shall never marry you under this energy because it is controlling and opposite to what love truly should be in being free and unconditional.so can anyone please enlighten me more. please to do not just recite biblical quotations. a big issue i have with christian believers is they relate everything to the bible as being truth. seldom do they look at the fact the book was written by mortal men of there personal beliefs as appose to undeniable truth and fact.so i challenge anyone to convince me of this.thanks.

It sounds like to me she had a personal conviction here, some people choose that and its ok. God wants us to be pure in his eyes and disiplined. While love is beutifull by not following the bible and what god commands can be a horrible path. The bible serves as a tool to better connect with god not a judge of our wrongdoings. Only god has the right to judge anyone.

"one day i was going to marry her for love."Your dilemma has nothing to do with the Bible or God. It's your arrogance in attempting to control her and her beliefs that has failed you. Love is tolerant, compassionate, and longsuffering. You should have supported her instead of trying to force her into something she did not respect. So you gave her an ultimatum. WOW! You think that's love? That's control and power over another person. She would have made a mistake to continue the relationship with someone who did not love her enough to respect her and/or marry her as she wanted/needed."An ultimatum (Latin: the last one) is a demand whose fulfillment is requested in a specified period of time and which is backed up by a threat to be followed through in case of noncompliance. An ultimatum is generally the final demand in a series of requests. As such, the time allotted is usually short, and the request is understood not to be open to further negotiation."

You read my post but you did not comprehend any of it. Nothing you stated in response has anything to do with what I posted. You just showed your hand as to the type of person that you truly are. Thank God that she was strong enough to leave you. She would have been in danger with you.

Funny how the rude posts that showed the nature of this poster were deleted. It is clear you came here looking for nothing but trouble, and you'll mock anyone that doesn't agree with you. We're not interested.
