I'd think that his word wouldn't appeal to anyone anymore, he would just be one of the other loonatics that claim to be Christ.Jesus came in a time when freedom of speech wasn't normal, Jesus was tortured and crucified. These days everyone can say what they want, so any form of opinion is pointless since no one cares. Now how would you recognise Jesus if hecame back?

I'll recognize Jesus when he returns because he told us how and out of which direction he will come by. Romans 14:10-11But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. Every knee will bow and every tounge will confess God when the time comes. Whether or not they will accept Jesus will be an entirely different matter. Afterall, it would not be the first time someone witnessed the teachings of Jesus and still did not comprehend.

Besides what Swampfox has said He says he is coming back as KING OF KINGS not just a man you seem to want to think of him as a human not as God. That was Jesus role the first time. It will not happen that way again

The others have clearly pointed out that Jesus will return with quite a bang. It will not be missed. But you said something else I wanted to address.Have you ever read the bible passage about how Jesus went back to Nazareth (his home town) and all seemed peaceful for awhile, and then suddenly they are trying to kill him by tossing him over a cliff! They all knew him, had lived with him for years, and suddenly murder is on their minds. He was more than some ordinary man with a message. Today, he would still not be some ordinary guy, but rather the Son of God. He would get a reaction, I'm sure.

Read about it in Luke4:16-30

i think that if jesus were to come back right now he would be embarrassed to be worshiped, ashamed of christianity and disgusted by (most) christians.

i believe he would feel the same way about terrorists, suicide bombers, drug dealers, muderers and child molestors as we do. or at least as i do, i can only assume your attitudes towards these people is similiar to mine. i believe he would admire non-believers and homosexuals for their courage. the non-believers for their courage to stand up to what everyone closes their minds and ears to, and the homosexuals for their courage to love the way their hearts tell them to while facing unwarrented discrimination and countless unjustices.again, this is all assuming jesus is good. personally, i've never met the guy.

Actually, his greatest wrath will be for those who lead his flock the wrong way and make up religion as they go. It's not speculation. It's right there in the Word in Malachi amongst many other locations.
