This was my previous question... ARE there statistics suggesting that abortion rates actually DROPPED during Republican rule??? Thank you!
It was something that came up in conversation some months ago with my son and daughter, it ended up turning into a full blown debate about executions / pro life / whether you can agree with one and not the other ect ect. I am pro life but would support the death penalty in certain circumstances ( if it was proved 100% that someone was guilty ) The debate got on to the subject of whether or not we could personally be an executioner, which was not an easy question to answer.
I think we had to leave the debate open to further discussion !

I would think that accurate statistics are difficult to come by... but one would ASSUME that an ANTI-ABORTION political party would at least be vigorous in continuing the fight of making/keeping abortion legal!
Lol, sorry I can never get things to cut and paste onto the website from others sources. I am not good with using the iPad. I just looked up the national statistic over the last 8 -12 years.

Ah thanks, but it has been dropping since the 1980s, there been little rises here and there, but it has been trending downwards decade by decade. In fact during Obama's term, they reached a historic low in 2014, then there was another historic low reached in 2017, whether if this was a carry on from the trend of numbers falling significantly in Obama's 2 terms or a result of Trump's first year or a bit of both, this proves that the numbers have been generally dropping no matter whether if the president was Republican or Democrat.

I always wondered why they sat on death row for decade after decade costing tax payers million$. Richard Ramirez sat on death row for twenty years and dies of cancer. Is that justice?
When someone takes the life of a person (meaning the victim) is there any possible justice that can be had??
Sadly murder is part of this fallen world... Not sure that taking a life for a life solves the problem...or even helps the heartaches left behind for the families.

You may be right. Why sentence them to death then? I’m sure some victims want them dead for the crimes they commit, it gives them a false sense of justice that usually never happens. Maybe they should have used hard labor instead of three hots and a cot for decades.

No doubt reporting of abortions went down, but this doesn't PROVE that there were fewer abortions. Abortion clinics are not known for keeping truthful statistics. Why would they??
I believe the drop in abortions is more of a reflection on society's views on life rather than anything the government does.
