Oath on Bible Refused by Congressman

This board will not like my opinion, but I will say it anyway. If the Congressman wants to be sworn in by a Koran, then so be it. There is such a thing as freedom of religion, and while it is controversial, and people will go up in arms about it, but to abolish one form of religion, you might as...

I love someone who is not a virgin

My wife's family is Catholic, and while I am not a Catholic (agnostic), I cannot give you much guidance. However, there is forgiveness, and if you go to the Church, talk with the priest, go to confessional, get some counseling from the sisters, brothers, or somebody you trust. When I was dating...

    Thousands Protest Nazi's

The less Neo-Nazi's the better. In Germany, holocaust denial and Nazi sympathizing is illegal, but here in the US, people can be as extreme as they want to be.Oh which by the way can be a slippery slope from either extreme by the way.

The Da Vinci Code - Let's Discuss It

The Da Vinci Code is fiction. I do not know why so many people are taking it so seriously.

    The unpardonable sin

(gibby) I agree. When we become believers, it is like we bring a little bit of heaven down to earth by the power of the Holy Spirit. :cross2: As far as the unpardonable sin, I agree it's the rejection of Jesus Christ. I've heard over and over that if you are afraid that you may have committed...

    The unpardonable sin

(SwampFox) One of the ultimate figures of the old Testament, David, was a murderer and you are certainly correct about Paul. God will forgive murderers - that may be upsetting to some but he does and it's in the Bible many times. The key here is that you accept Christ (God, the Holy Spirit). If...

When Jesus was in the tomb for three days

I found it interesting. I heard about this when I ws in the JW's, but forgot all about it. I heard something about Jesus taking to Nephilim... I did not know angels could be saved as well...which begs the question, what is hell? I heard it was Sheol (meaning grave) or Ghenna meaning the refuse...

    The unpardonable sin

It'll take some time to digest. The one I heard was regarding the hardening of the spirit and not caring anymore such as no more conscious such as serial killers and the like. That made no sense, because God forgives murderers. Paul was a murderer and was saved and became one of the best known...

When Jesus was in the tomb for three days

I am not sure. I have heard it may have been Peter who said it. I am going to look it up now. I am curious. I thought you may have some insight of some kind.Found it: 1 Peter 3:18-22 (New International Version)New International Version (NIV)Copyright © 1973, 1978, 1984 by International Bible...

    The unpardonable sin

We have heard the scripture regarding the unpardonable sin being "grieving the Holy Spirit". What does that mean, and how does this happen? I also heard translations as "blaspheming the Holy Spirit" and some others I do not really recall off hand. What is this, and why is this so bad?

When Jesus was in the tomb for three days

    Nephilim the sons of God?

I read somewhere in the Bible about Nephilim being the sons of god, and bore children who became giants. Is this where the Philistines came from such as Goliath? What was the meaning behind "the sons of god" when they did such bad deeds?Sorry for all the stupid questions, but been wondering all...

    Who is Satan anyway?

I have heard many accounts on Satan, but not too clear about it.There were accounts in the old testament if I am not mistaken that he was a cheribum and was cast down.My questions are:1. Did this happen before the garden of Eden?2. Why did God allow Satan to run amock for so long?Any insight...
