How do you get an avatar?

It should be under "User CP" in the top menu. Right now we don't have any on-site ones but you're welcome to link to one or upload it. If it's not showing for you in your user cp, let me know. I'm a bit new to vB so there's probably a setting somewhere not quite right.

No, it is not there. Here's how you do it:Go to admin->usergroups->usergroup manager->Click edit Registered Users (the dropdown menu will have this option by default and click "go")scroll down to "Picture Uploading Permissions" and there, you will see:Can Upload Custom Avatars Yes No

Was it a setting with the uploads or did you just neverenable it for that usergroup?By default, vB disables avatars for the Registerd users group.Aaron

It was one way I did it. How you people do it, is up to you.

I used to never understand the use of avatars but now I love them. As you said, it's like putting your own personalized stamp on your posts and gives you an identity.
