Why does everyone seem to need to come up with their own belief and doctrinal formula?

And there we have it--claims of doctrine against the whole counsel of God. Of which Paul himself warned: "Now I say this, that each of you says, “I am of Paul,” or “I am of Apollos,” or “I am of Cephas,” or “I am of Christ.” 13 Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized...

Why does everyone seem to need to come up with their own belief and doctrinal formula?

I said I get your point. But you are not addressing everything. Is the "Apostles Creed" not a "church doctrine?" Right or wrong, many things make up the current church doctrine. If you feel that we all should follow Paul--even Paul said we should not.

Absolute truth - Do we know what it is?

The truth comes from God "precept upon precept, line upon line, here a little there a little." Which has been revealed in part and is written--only in part, because "the world itself could not contain the books that would be written" if it were all written in full (John 21:25). Even so, each age...

Why does everyone seem to need to come up with their own belief and doctrinal formula?

The church doctrine--which many do believe, did not all come from Paul (but I get your point). We do know that the other apostles also contributed with their quotes and testimonies of Christ. But more importantly--it is important for the church today to realize that their/our own perceived...

Questions, Answers, and Everything In Between: Exploring God

I am not going to go on and on. I have no exegesis. God said man is an "image" of God. Why do you not believe Him?

Questions, Answers, and Everything In Between: Exploring God

Have you not understood anything I said? Go look in a mirror. Do it. Are you not the same person--except one is an "image" (just as stated by God from the beginning) and the other is not? ...Now, since you have need of this elementary exercise: Write something about the image in the...

Revelation 16:19 The great city was divided into 3 parts...

Yes, there are many references depending on the particular topic. The greatest of which was expressed by Jesus, saying: "Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I shall be perfected" (Luke 13:32).

Questions, Answers, and Everything In Between: Exploring God

I have given you the clear word from God, but you have obscured it again with men's philosophies. But it was not a contest, it was a gift, one you have refused. So be it.

    So, you’ve rejected Jesus. Why?

Curious, do you believe that God has appointed a time of revelation for Israel and also a time of revelation for the gentiles? And if so, what do you think, would the message of revelation be exactly the same, or somewhat different?

Victim's family outraged as Biden commutes murderer's sentence...37 death row sentences commuted by Biden

It's not actually going to happen. This is a PR piece to get a reaction on whether or not people are ready for murders to receive the death penalty. It's not really about these folks, but about military tribunals for treasonous acts by the deep state swamp which are already underway. When the...

Questions, Answers, and Everything In Between: Exploring God

Okay, I am going to shed some light: Man--even Jesus--is created in the "image" of God, even if only "an image dimly." Thus your above "Jesus has a God" hypothesis, is like saying: "The image in a mirror reflects an object in front of it." Well, duh! But apparently you do not understand what...

Why does everyone seem to need to come up with their own belief and doctrinal formula?

Are you quoting snide remarks of the Pharisees? - You should start a thread!

Why does everyone seem to need to come up with their own belief and doctrinal formula?

Even so--and replying also to my own OP question--such a practice has been the order of the day, of "trampling"...until the times of the gentiles are fulfilled (Luke 21:24). The purpose being, that with the gentiles being invited into the fold of Christ and salvation, the gentiles and...

Sweeping the Polytheism of Ancient Israel Under the Rug

The problem with ALL translations, is they, as with all language, was/is "confused" by God, by an order not to be rescinded until just before the end. One should not be troubled by it--no need to make yourself crazy, as it is all intentional. The only means of navigating the confusion...is...

Why does everyone seem to need to come up with their own belief and doctrinal formula?

As wheat among tares, I suppose we are both part of the problem and the solution. Thank God that He is working all things together for good for those who love Him according to His purpose.

Why does everyone seem to need to come up with their own belief and doctrinal formula?

That is God's business, which is a matter of revelation over times.
