    A New Reformation?

I believe that God will either do great and wonderful things by changing the hearts of the masses to Him, or He will condemn us just as He did the Ancient Roman empire. This is why I posted this thread.... to assess whether or not we really could indeed have a new reformation.

    A New Reformation?

The church today is in dire straights. Believers the world over are to busy arguing with one another to actually attempt to live as Christ would have us live. People are buying the lie that being a Christian means nothing more than fire insurance. We are so caught up in things like 'speaking in...

    Seeking an out-of-print study Bible

You should look into a NKJV New Geneva Study Bible. It is edited by Sproul and J.I. Packer and is very Calvinistic. Imo much better for a believer in TULIP. Welcome to the forum!

If We Protestants Truly Hated Catholics...

I believe in free agency, that is that man has the freedom to operate within God's universe, however the only problem is that we are all born sinners and are therefore, willingly or unwillingly, serving our father the devil. That is, until Christ changes our hearts.

If We Protestants Truly Hated Catholics...

I would agree. Although, as you can imagine I am a big fan of Calvin. But, the church today is in a hyper- grace mode. We teach that all you need to do is 'choose Jesus', and then go on living your life the same sinful way as always. Although I do not believe that our works ad anything to our...

If We Protestants Truly Hated Catholics...

Yes, Augustine was indeed Catholic. And yes, he did build the general foundation... however, Calvin improved upon and perfected his ideas, such as saying that grace + works does not = salvation; grace= salvation = works I have a great respect for Augustine. He indeed was one of the fathers of...

    Day 4

Day 4 Ecclesiastes 12:1 “Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come and the years draw near when you will say, "I have no delight in them" A warning call to all, especially the young! We see here that it is of the utmost importance that we determine that...

    Have you been baptised correctly?

Yes, that is definitely one thing that make many cautious of Presb. I am in the PCA, so there are quite a few differences.

    Have you been baptised correctly?

A lot of people are under the assumption that Presbyterians want everyone Christian to beckme Presbyterian. I would much rather see people coming to genuine, Holy Spirit lead faith first and foremost.

    Scripture with Scripture

E It is not a building, like the temple was, nor is it a race of people who can be picked out in a crowd. The Kingdom of God was not going to conquer visibly, with swords drawn and legions ready. The kingdom of God conquers through hearts, changing and transforming people to form his Kingdom...

    Day 3

Day 3 Psalm 128:1-2 1 Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways. 2 For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee. The Lord has provided bounty, indeed! God promises blessings upon those who actively try and seek...

    Have you been baptised correctly?

The confession puts it so much better than I could, but yes, death and burial of christ is indeed stressed in baptism. The Westminster Confession of Faith Chapter 28 Section 1.) Baptism is a sacrament of the new testament, ordained by Jesus Christ,(1) not only for the solemn admission of the...

    Have you been baptised correctly?

Ditto. Im sorry, i probably worded that a bit funny. baptism is the sacrament of initiation into the visible church, or body of people who publicly claim faith in Christ.Baptism also signifies regeneration and remission of sin.

    Have you been baptised correctly?

Agreed. Im Presbyterian, so I believe water should be sprinkled, but Im not going to parade around saykng Im the only one that has the trutn, and If you werent baptized this way you are condemned... thats just nonsense. Baptism is a sign of Christ commitment to you; It doesnt really matter how...

    The Cosmos

... ok. So from when it gets dark in the evening to when light shines in the morning. Your interpretation makes no sense. Its like me saying Rev 16:18 "The word for ligtning means bright light and loud boom, therefore flashbang" It just doesnt make any logical sense. Just because it says dark...

    Day 2

Day 2 Psalm 2:12 “Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.” Here we see what our Savior would have us do, and the penalty for neglecting this duty. Christ is King of all, and it is...

    Scripture with Scripture

the kingdom of God is made up of the believers in Christ Jesus. Luke 17:20-21 Now having been questioned by the Pharisees as to when the kingdom of God was coming, He answered them and said, "The kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed; nor will they say, 'Look, here it is!' or...
