Judas went out and hung himself. So they picked a replacement. Now for your apostolic theory to have any teeth, simply find the same clear verse where any other apostle named a successor. We'll wait.

You keep misquoting 1 Tim 3:15...just fyi. Have you read 2 Tim 2:15? Another really good verse to memorize.

Paul discipled Timothy. Theres not a shred of evidence that this verse refers to apostolic succession. Unless you think apostolic succession is the passing on of biblical truth? That we might agree on. But no one took Pauls place as an apostle after Paul dies. Paul is not laying down some...

Your church teaches that as well doesn't it? Origen and Tertullian were heretics according to your church. Simple facts aren't hard to find or expose are they. Just requires some reading.

Precisely. 2 Tim was Pauls last letter before he was executed. His other letters were from a different imprisonment.

2 Tim 2 2 The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. Great verse on discipleship. And?

Give us what your church thinks representation is. From my experience catholics love redefining words to suit their theology. You think your mass is the same sacrifice as 2000 years ago. Thats not what is meant by remembrance. And your mass has nothing in common with Jesus' sacrifice on the...

Just for....those who, well, not just for some, but for all who would love God.

Giving authority to apostles is one thing, your church the rcc is quite another. The rcc didn't exist for hundreds of years post apostolic age. Kinda hard to be apostolic when it didn't exist yet. Or teach what the apostles taught. Perhaps we should cut this one out first? : I rarely see this...

Just for....those who, well, not just for some, but for all who would love God.

Doesn't the rcc teach that there is no salvation outside of that church? I thought i saw that exact quote here yesterday. Sounds exclusive to me. Jesus didn't come to simply set up a church. He came to seek and save that which was lost; i.e. people.

This is true. I'd respond to epostle but he/she blocked me because he/she doesn't like having his own ccc and its glaring contradictions laid out for all to see. So i'll say this about multiple mediators. 1 Tim 2:5....One God and one mediator...eis theos eis mesites. The word 'eis' is one, but...

Water baptism doesn't make anyone a christian any more than going to mcdonalds makes you a hamburger. Water baptism is what those who are already saved do out of obedience to Jesus' command.

I've yet to meet a catholic to own up to his/her own statements. They make claims they know they can't back up. When questioned, its our fault. And when citing their own ccc verbatim its all of a sudden 'off topic'. How convenient.

Don't know. This isn't a simple shortcoming but bad theology. He just doesn't want to admit it. Jesus didn't earn infinite grace on the cross. Grace can't be earned. But tell a catholic that.

Seems someone doesn't want to play ball so he picks it up and goes home. Yes the poster did in fact say Jesus 'earned' infinite grace; "You said this on post # 16 "There are two problems with this objection. First, the power of Confession depends entirely on the sacrifice of Christ. Christ...

Your ccc teaches roman catholicism, not biblical christianity. It contains all of its unbiblical, unfounded dogmas; Marys assumption, ic, pv, papal infallibility....But while we are speaking of your ccc, can you tell us which of these is correct? So, do you expiate your sins or does Jesus...

Off topic. You made a statement, i'm asking you to substantiate YOUR statement. So far it seems youre unable to or you would have done it already.

You said this on post # 16 "There are two problems with this objection. First, the power of Confession depends entirely on the sacrifice of Christ. Christ earned infinite grace on the cross," Now youre saying its not even a verse in the bible calling it a falsehood. Well i agree. I'll address...

Unmerited grace isn't a doctrine, its the definition of charis. Grace is by definition unmerited. But your statement said Jesus earned i.e. merited grace. And if unmerited grace is a catholic doctrine why didnt you say that? You said the exact opposite. Grace being unmerited is biblical, not...

No offense, but we don't share that sentiment. The rcc has a false gospel, a false Jesus, a false holy father. You get the idea. So no, we aren't brothers in Christ. And we hold zero theological essential beliefs in common.
