The Root question of Amillenial vs Premillenial

As you say, it was certainly no secret that all the nations would be blessed in Abraham, but there is something that was kept secret until God revealed it to Paul. Rom 16:25, Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the...

The Root question of Amillenial vs Premillenial

I think you are right, especially about the trolls. But on the other hand, they may be seekers of truth. I don't know. But if they are I figure it can't hurt to give them ideas they may never have entertained. I probably should have disengaged a while ago, but like I told someone here it wasn't...

The Root question of Amillenial vs Premillenial

You shouldn't believer anything I say. In fact, it's a good idea not to believe what anybody says (including the ECFs) about the Bible. Sure, see what they have to say, but don't just blindly believe every word. The only 100% reliable source of truth are the scriptures. Whatever anybody says...

The Root question of Amillenial vs Premillenial

That's pretty close to the scriptures. I think close enough that God might give you a cigar!

The Root question of Amillenial vs Premillenial

I specifically said a few times now, not to believe anything I said. Take the time to read the Bible and see what God says. If you still don't like it, take it up with Him.

Amil can only be proved to be true if Amils accept all of the following terms and convincingly satisfy these terms.

I read those verses in Hebrew three times to make sure I wasn't missing something, but sure enough, they don't say anything about a "spiritual" city. Are you sure you understand the word "spirit" as those to whom God wrote understood it? Yes, Jesus is presently in the heaven with God. He'll be...

The Root question of Amillenial vs Premillenial

Yes, for 17 centuries the orthodox church did align more with Plato than with the scriptures. It's something of a miracle that 19th theologians were able to dig through the error and get back to what Paul said.

The Root question of Amillenial vs Premillenial

Yes, we will be raised from the dead.

You should be able to find them yourself. I'll give you a hint. Start with Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel. Let me know when you're done with that and I'll give you a few more to look at.

The ones in the OT after Joshua. It's God's idea. Ask Him. You'd be much more likely to believe Him than me anyway.

The Root question of Amillenial vs Premillenial

The problem is that it's getting harder to find examples of a real man in the modern West. confused

The Root question of Amillenial vs Premillenial

Not sure where the Bible talks about humans having spiritual bodies in heaven. I see that about angels, but God made people earthlings.

The Root question of Amillenial vs Premillenial

See Post #347. Subsequent to Joshua God made many promises, that despite Israel's disobedience, He'd still give them the land and a kingdom. Lot's of grace was involved, which is something that most people have a hard time understanding. People tend to be vindictive.

The Root question of Amillenial vs Premillenial

You seemed to have answered your own question there; the first resurrection and another after this period of time. That is exactly what I mean by two resurrections. I'll elaborate: The ones in verse 6 are not judged. They reign with Jesus. That is quite a bit different than those mentioned in...

The Root question of Amillenial vs Premillenial

Says who? What it the yardstick? I understand that there is symbols as well as literal verses. What makes all the promises of land (earth) symbolic and not literal? If you've already answered that, sorry but I am guilty of not seeing it. All you need to do is refer me to the post where you...

The Root question of Amillenial vs Premillenial

I agree with almost all of that, but what about the 2 resurrections mentioned in Rev 20 that occur after Satan is chained for 1,000 years? I don't see Rev 20:15 saying that everybody not born again before Christ returns gets thrown into the fire. If that's the case why bother with the judgment...

The Root question of Amillenial vs Premillenial

I'm not 100% sure of what Jesus was saying there and I don't want to speculate. But I do understand enough about it that does not appear to preclude the promises in Jeremiah 31 (and several other places) from happening at some point. I've asked this question in another post, but I'll repeat it...
