    The One Baptism

I don't need an education on what the RCC teaches, I know what they teach, legalism. They have the same problem of the Galatians that Paul chewed them out over. Adding laws and regulation to faith in Christ for salvation. Whether it's circumcision that the Galatians added, or water baptism, the...

    The One Baptism

I am pointing out that Paul makes his case perfectly clear on faith and works, and you are not following his teaching. I am telling you that James, who seems to be opposed to Paul is much harder to understand than Paul. I am hinting to you that maybe you don't understand what James is saying...

This Makes More Sense To Me Now

The 2 books are the Book of Life and the other, everything you did in your life, literally. Together, the proof is there for your Judgment. I know this is confusing, but stick with me and I will explain. The first phase of the first resurrection takes place as Paul told us in 1 Thes. 4:13-18...

    The One Baptism

My point was that you need to find out "why they SEEM to be opposite of one another," was my statement, if you go back and read it. I didn't say they were at opposite sides, because they are not at opposite sides!

This Makes More Sense To Me Now

If you notice in Rev. 20:11-15 all of these called up from the graves, the bodies lost at sea, etc. were all at the Great White Throne of Judgment. This is the second resurrection, and were cast into the Lake of Fire.

This Makes More Sense To Me Now

The Scripture says that all who were not found written in the Book of Life were cast into the Lake of Fire. These are of the second resurrection. All who were in the first resurrection, there names were found in the Book of Life.

    The One Baptism

These are some of the things a person will believe when they are brainwashed into believing "there is no salvation outside the Church." Man is not saved by a Church, He is saved by hearing and believing the Gospel, which you will not hear in the RCC. It's rules and regulations that are taught...

This Makes More Sense To Me Now

If I'm not mistaken only Matthew records this event with the graves opening at the Crucifixion. Which limits the information we need. The way Matthew explains it there was definitely a resurrection that took place. I've heard a few explanations for this, the only one that comes close to...

Why does darkness not comprehend the light?

lol, it doesn't matter to me, either word is the same Greek word. I have read commentary that said it would have been better understood by the reader if this verse had said "apprehended." When I read the verse I can see why they said that.

Why does darkness not comprehend the light?

I agree! Nothing wrong with using it. I think apprehend would be better to understand as used in that particular verse.

    New Prime Minister?

LOL, reading your post here is like trying to read a foreign language, I have no idea what it means. Being an American, I have never tried to understand the operations of the UK government, or at least this American.

    New Prime Minister?

I don't know much about that but I knew it was different, not a direct vote as we have.

    New Prime Minister?

I'm not a Brit, but I hope things work out better for you than it did for us with Biden.

Why does darkness not comprehend the light?

Most agree that the English word "apprehend" should have been used. It's the same Greek word and better suited for the reader to understand in English.

This Makes More Sense To Me Now

The first resurrection is in phases, happening several times. We know this because John tells us, "blessed and holy is who has part in the first resurrection, on such the second death has no power (Rev. 20:6). The second death is spiritual death, eternal separation from God. The phases of the...

This Makes More Sense To Me Now

Well, it's not easily explained, it covers much Scripture, many things to understand. As you said, and also Paul said, Christ is the firstfruits of the resurrection of the dead. Then Paul said (1 Cor. 15) every man in his order, Christ the firstfruits, afterward they who are Christ's at His...

Why does darkness not comprehend the light?

Notice in vs 4, "In Him was life, and the life is the light of men." "Light" here is the knowledge of Christ, knowing Christ, it gives life, everlasting life. vs. 5, "The light shines in darkness , and the darkness comprehended it not." The light that shines is the knowledge of Christ, it...

    The One Baptism

No, BreadOfLife, that is not correct! It is not the Catholic Church! The True Church is made of both Jew and Gentile, from every nation in the world. Whoever they are, wherever they are, if they are in Christ, they are in the One True Church. The members from the One True Church come from all...

"I have sinned against the Lord"

In 2 Samuel 7:16-17, Nathan the prophet came to David with some wonderful news. God had told Nathan that David's throne would be established forever through Christ. In other words, the Messiah would come through the lineage of David. The next visit from Nathan the prophet would not be such a...
