John 1:1 - Jesus is the Father or he's not the one true God?

My Bible is consistent in call Jesus the son of God. God is the Father. Jesus is His son. Only the Father is God (1 Cor 8:6). How Yes. No.

John 1:1 - Jesus is the Father or he's not the one true God?

What do you mean by that?

    A Form of godliness

God was made better than than the angels? Who made Him that way? And who appointed God heir of all things? Who was the express image of who? God is the express image of God? Whose right hand did God sit on? God inherited a more excellent that the angels? What was He before He inherited it...

John 1:1 - Jesus is the Father or he's not the one true God?

No comment about John's explicit purpose on writing his Gospel? John 20:30-31, 30 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: 31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that...

John 1:1 - Jesus is the Father or he's not the one true God?

Interlinear is not a language. It is actually a Biblical text that shows the English and Greek/Hebrew words used in each verse. They can be found on the internet. I trust you know that John did not speak English. The language of the day was in fact Greek. John wrote his Gospel in the Greek...

I don't recall saying anything about where you are or where you are going. Frankly, I'm getting bored talking about you and myself. I'd really like to stick with the scriptures. This is a debate forum, not a bash fest. God made the comparison! Gen 41:40, Thou (Joseph) shalt be over my house...

Before going off too much on that, you may want to consider that trinitarians call God an "essence." Hardly personal. It reduces God to a thing. But leaving that aside, the logos is really not a person. It is an inanimate thing. Did you not read the Strong's definition? In case you missed it...

    A Form of godliness

Yes! Good observation! Few Christians are aware of a new creation, but it's all over the place in Paul's letters. God didn't stop creating in Genesis. Romans 8:29 says we are being conformed to the image of God's son. "Conformed" comes from the same root word as "form" in Phillipians 2:6 and...

I guess maybe saying someone is blinded is not necessarily condemnation. Plus you did graciously advance the possibility that I'm not. I hope you can accept that as an "untwisting" of your words. Besides, you're the only one who really knows what you think.

Absolutely amazing that you of all people would say that. Since it's my pattern, you shouldn't have any problem coming up with at least one concrete example.

So John 1:1 doesn't say, "In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God." Instead it says, "In the beginning was Jesus, and Jesus was with God, and Jesus was God." Are you sure about that? Why? Perhaps John was talking about the new creation, the church Jesus...

    A Form of godliness

Google "heavenly host" or "divine council." You obviously don't accept anything I say. I always took "we" to mean two or more. In this case the "we" is God, the Father, the one true God, and Jesus, His only begotten son. Would you be willing to accept that the spirit of truth is the spirit of...

John 1:1 - Jesus is the Father or he's not the one true God?

You have no idea wrong you are about my sincerity, so just stop saying that. Very unseeming of you! Can't take a joke I guess. I'll keep that in mind and be dead pan serious from now on. If you care to look at an interlinear, your will see that all things came "from" (Greek ek) God "through"...

You don't condemn. Hmm... I think you were and might still be, but maybe not ~ blinded... and certainly deceived... You do condemn.

I wonder why Joseph and Mary named him Jesus. Maybe they didn't read Isaiah?

    A Form of godliness

Well, you are right about that. I would never think I'm qualified to rewrite the Bible. I didn't write the originals nor have I done an English translation. I just read them. There is not one single thing I've said here that is unique. The information is out there for anybody who want to see if...

    A Form of godliness

That would be true if the "logos" were Jesus, but it isn't. Genesis says God made all things. At that time Jesus was an idea in God's mind. John says the logos became Jesus. What was it before it became Jesus? Col 1:16 must be understood in light of context. Verse 15 says Jesus is the...

    A Form of godliness

The English translation, the capitalization of "word" and all the "he"s and "him"s merely show the translators trinitarian bias when they translated from the Greek. Did I show you Strong's definition of "logos?" I think I did, but if not let me know and I'll go over it again. In any case, it's...

John 1:1 - Jesus is the Father or he's not the one true God?

I find it interesting that trinitarians are quick to tell unitarians they are not saved. I don't recall it going the other way. Joshua, the son of Nun, was a savior. His name even means, "Yahweh Saves," the same meaning as "Jesus." Is Joshua, the son of Nun, therefore your savior?
