The Body of Christ vs. The Bride of Christ (pt. 1)

That's like saying because Abraham wasn't Jewish, his righteousness doesn't count. Anyways, the following is from a Messianic website - What is Shiddukhin? Shiddukhin refers to the first step in the marriage process - the arraignments preliminary to the legal betrothal. It was common in...

The Sweet and bitter little book of Revelation 10

That is an opinion, as are all the other views that are just as valid. I do see the church in the first part of the 70th week.

The Body of Christ vs. The Bride of Christ (pt. 1)

If you look in other sites with the same topic you will see that many of the customs are first mentioned in Gen. 24, before Jacob.

    THE DAUGHTERS OF MEN

Hi Barney, There is a big difference between foreknowing and foreordaining which God most certainly did not do. You can't take away Adam and Eve's free will. It was their choice, and God being God lives in the past, present and future all at the same time.

The Sweet and bitter little book of Revelation 10

Corel said, "You're missing the critical point here. The Bible makes it clear that what happens in the Tribulation Period will be worse than anything that's ever happened on the earth before. Yet you're trying to compare them is equal." I don't think it will be worse than anything that parts of...

The Body of Christ vs. The Bride of Christ (pt. 1)

I thought it interesting that the article didn't use any of the marriage parables of Christ. How do you think the marriage situation with Jacob, Leah and Rachel would fit into this scenario?

    THE DAUGHTERS OF MEN

I don't think I actually said that. I said the millennial paradise-like earth will end when the new heavens and earth are formed and the NJ comes to earth's atmosphere. Were the failures supposed to happen, no, however, God knew that they would so he had our ultimate redemption planned out...

The Sweet and bitter little book of Revelation 10

I'm not implying that God gives and takes back and yes it is on us to maintain our faith. Jesus did everything he needed to do on the cross. Seeing as salvation is an unearned free gift, it only becomes ours if we accept it. We can also reject it, choosing to live a life outside of God's will. A...

    THE DAUGHTERS OF MEN

No, Jesus didn't reject all the doctrines of the Pharisees, he was giving them a good lambasting regarding the oppression they put upon their people because of their over-zealousness to the law, but the majority of their doctrines were straight from the OT. The italicized portion above is what I...

The Body of Christ vs. The Bride of Christ (pt. 1)

Not counting the intimacy part, most adherents to "The church is the bride of Christ" do think there will be an actual ceremony w/ wedding reception and everything. Does your first word mean you're Australian or just a fan of Steve Irwin?

The Sweet and bitter little book of Revelation 10

The HS in ones life can be both grieved and quenched. Are you aware of the many denominations that reject the HS and spiritual gifts believing they were only for the first generation of Christians? I'm really not trying to discourage you or bash the church in general but when the bible says that...

The Sweet and bitter little book of Revelation 10

Jesus is speaking to the disciples as the fathers of his church, not as Jews. Events will begin there as Rev. 12 points out but things will quickly escalate on a global scale. Imo, when we see the abomination of desolation (the image from Rev. 13:14-15) is when we shall see the man of sin...

The Sweet and bitter little book of Revelation 10

Heavy sigh, Enoch, no one said anything about the church undergoing the wrath of God. Yes, we are spared that. It is the wrath of Satan that the GT consists of. Rev. 12:17.

The Body of Christ vs. The Bride of Christ (pt. 1)

Paul yes but Jesus doesn't say anything about the church and marriage. Thank you for validating that the "marriage" is a metaphor, not a reality as many think. Regarding Rom. 12 - If you're thinking of individuals then no, but if you are looking at the body as a whole then the closer the body's...

    THE DAUGHTERS OF MEN

We don't know that, the scriptures don't say. When Jesus died, his spirit preached to the prisoners in hades or wherever. Paul says to absent from the body is to be present with the lord. The spirits of the martyrs under the altar in the 5th seal attest to spirits going to heaven. The parable of...

The Body of Christ vs. The Bride of Christ (pt. 3)

That's kind of odd seeing as the things you underlined and emphasized are your "private" interpretation of what these verses mean.

The Body of Christ vs. The Bride of Christ (pt. 3)

Taken, you offered too many thought to deal with. I would say we agree on half of them. The first difference would be that I do not believe the seals are any part of the wrath of the Lamb. Rev. 6:17 is saying the wrath is about to start with the trumpet judgments, not that it has been going on...
