Jesus left us with the assignment to make disciples,

Nonsense! He hung out with sinners, tax-collectors, and Samaritans! Rather than following the two Great Commandments and doing what Christ does, you twist the Bible to justify entirely abandoning the Second Great Commandment and focusing on saving your own skin. I’m sorry Robert, but you...

Jesus left us with the assignment to make disciples,

True Christians love their neighbor, regardless of their denomination. I’m gave you some examples for my life. Can you give me examples of how JW children are encouraged to have friends with non-JW? How you see, love, and celebrate the good parts of a non-JW person’s faith? How you serve...

Jesus left us with the assignment to make disciples,

You said you wanted to listen. And then you completely ignored my post… I am frustrated.

Jesus left us with the assignment to make disciples,

Rather than trying to address this whole elephant in one bite, I'm going to focus this down to one specific sub-topic for an example: loving your neighbor. I love each one of my neighbors. I have many dear friends (in fact most of my friends) that are other other denominations. I also have...

Jesus left us with the assignment to make disciples,

I’ve rewritten the post again and again, trying to figure out what best to say. Im an evidence driven person, looking at the whole package. Not just a person’s ability to ramble off scripture- even the devil does that! And when I see the fruits I hear from your story (see #67), this post I’m...

The founding fathers of modern-day Premillennialism were heretics.

Actual “Mormon” here. What exactly are you accusing me of ? I have not been paying attention to this thread.

    More about : Cults

I just wanted to make sure that it was clear those splinter groups aren't "Mormons" such as myself and others you'll meet throughout life. Those groups "cult" could be indeed be sued (along with extreme splinter groups from any group), but for mainstream, either on a theological or cultural level.

    More about : Cults

Note: the shows you were watching (I'm guessing as "Stay Sweet" and "Banner of Heaven") don't depict the "Mormon" church, but rather spinoff groups "Mormons" consider apostate. The real name of the "Mormon" church the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and here's actual beliefs: -...

Jesus left us with the assignment to make disciples,

Let me recap to make sure I got things correct here (please correct me on any errors because I'm guessing on part of it)-- - The JW elders lied about you - They slammed your doors on you in the opposite of Christ-like fashion - They ignored your explanations of truth - They ordered congregation...

Jesus left us with the assignment to make disciples,

?!?! Ok, there’s a ton of things here I could and want to talk about. You are the only person remotely connected to JW that…is like talking to an actual person, thoughtful, and honest. I’m going to filter my million questions down to the one most important one: do you feel that Christ Himself...

Jesus left us with the assignment to make disciples,

The only denomination that denies Christ’s divinity is the JW.

The Resurrection is for all people (thank you Yeshua!)

Amen! The Church’s name is (and has been since the 1800’s) the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

The Resurrection is for all people (thank you Yeshua!)

Note: every Mormon teaches constantly. We don't have professional clergy, but instead it's normal everyday folks giving sermons, teaching Sunday School, etc. It's a big job so pretty yeah, everyone is teaching someone regularly. I also believe that their are people whom truly love Christ &...

Jesus left us with the assignment to make disciples,

? I am attempting to reconcile your actions with the speech I’ve heard from JW including yourself and others at Kingdom Halls. Is this man your friend? Do you love him? (in a platanic way obviously) What about his existing beliefs do you celebrate? If he were to get married at his church...

The Resurrection is for all people (thank you Yeshua!)

That Shawn guy isn't an LDS Christian, and disagrees & misunderstands LDS Christianity. LDS Christians 100% acknowledge that other Christians are Christians & can have the guidance of the Holy Spirit. It's kind of a "no duh". As to the younger man not being there: missionaries are routinely...

Hey Everybody! Owner of the Site here!

It is a rare treat to have the owner come introduce to themselves — welcome!!

Jesus left us with the assignment to make disciples,

I’m an evidence driven person. Christ ate with sinners. You practice and preach the opposite. Hence the conclusion.

Jesus left us with the assignment to make disciples,

And yet: Jesus the Son of God had all sorts of associations with sinners. He ate with them, listened to their concerns, served them, and told parables of people outside of the "flock" being those whom acted the way God instructs (such as the Good Samaritan). He violated the rules preached by...

    Objections to Sola Scriptura

Ask God for yourself. PS. When working with Sola Scirptura it's the same dillimena and same answer. So many different interpretations.
