Does Jesus have an eternal existence?

That's a loaded question because the label "Jesus" is a loaded label. The answer depends on your meaning of the term Jesus when you ask the question. John 1: For precision, let's label this entity Word-Jesus. Now, by definition, Word-Jesus is eternal because Word-Jesus was God. Paul put it...

GREEDY persons cannot inherit the kingdom of God

New International Version, Ephesians 5: English Standard Version: In English, the word "greedy" and "covetous" carry different nuances, Merriam-Webster: In Greek, G4123 carries both of these nuances, Thayer's Greek Lexicon: one eager to have more, especially what belongs to others...

Amnon agape-loved Tamar before he raped her

English Standard Version, 2 Samuel 13: In LXX, H160 was translated as G26 αγάπην and H157 as G25 ηγάπησεν. Elsewhere in Genesis 25: In LXX, the two Hebrew words were translated to G25 agape. G25 occurs 217 times in LXX. Wiki: See also Jesus and Paul's usages of agape-love

Is the kingdom of God within me, too?

Luke 17: The Pharisees understood the kingdom of God only as a kingdom in the future. Jesus tried to correct their understanding of the concept of the kingdom of God. There is a present aspect and there is a future aspect. In the present aspect, the kingdom of God starts in people's...

Whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven

Thanks. The paper affirms what I have said in this OP. From the paper: It wasn't a new kind of power to bind and loose. It merely confirmed what had already been determined. It was a periphrastic future perfect construct. There was no stand-alone future perfect conjugation. See also For...

For from now there will have been five in one house divided

Berean Literal Bible, Luke 12: will be ἔσονται (esontai) Verb - Future Indicative Middle - 3rd Person Plural Strong's 1510: I am, exist. The first person singular present indicative; a prolonged form of a primary and defective verb; I exist. divided, διαμεμερισμένοι (diamemerismenoi) Verb -...

Whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven

Now, the above makes no sense since there is no stand-alone conjugation to make the verb ἔσται future perfect. Can you quote the context from Derrett's paper?

Whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven

I would view it similarly. Let me clarify. Define future perfect tense in Koine in terms of conjugational form.

    Are we gods?

Psalm 82: The word "elohim" could refer to spirits or humans. Jesus quoted the above in John 10: If human judges could be called elohim/gods, what about the one and only Son of God? In English, the word "god" refers to divine beings. It does not carry the wide range of meanings of elohim...

Is the kingdom of God within me, too?

I would not put up a big fight about this distinction here in Luke 17:20-21. As a group, we represent the Kingdom of God unified by the Paraclete. In this sense, the Christians indwelled by the Paraclete are in the midst of the world.
