    JaneDoe's "What I believe"

This is an excellent example of "anti-cult" misinformation: Jesus is God, we are not. If I explain the actual beliefs are you willing to listen? I don't want to waste either of our time if you're not interested.

    JaneDoe's "What I believe"

Jesus Christ has always been. And always been God. Again: Actual LDS Christian beliefs are completely different than the hogwash "ant-cult" material claims (like a created or non-divine Christ). If you want to LISTEN and LEARN actual beliefs, I'm happy to answer question via PM. However I'm...

    JaneDoe's "What I believe"

I once lived next door to a fair sized church. The people going on Sunday would park in front of house and in their parking lot that my windows overlooked. I saw a LOT of crazy families getting out of the car, trying to straighten up, last minute hair brushing (or shove it in a pony tail)...

As a person who is currently visiting family in another statesman I hear you there!

    JaneDoe's "What I believe"

Jesus IS God. He, the Father, and the Spirit are 3 different divine persons in 1 God. min going to be direct here:actual LDS Christian beleifs are very different than the straw man the “anti-cult” movement proclaims. There are plenty of other thread on here that I’ve participated in and started...

    JaneDoe's "What I believe"

Going off some other topics on this board: A person becomes a Christian the moment they have faith in Christ and desire to follow Him. That desire & faith is a gift from God. It is a seed. Some people will nourish that gift, and follow Him with their whole selves. Some will starve the...

Saying you are without sin verses in 1 John

I’m a very seasoned veteran of religious discussions :). I don’t require a person to agree with me to take the time to understand their position, including the good and the many positions out there that are just junk. I still want to understand and love my neighbor.

Saying you are without sin verses in 1 John

This doesn’t really answer my questions, but got to the ballpark enough for me to understand your position roughly. Thank you for the explanation.

    JaneDoe's "What I believe"

If you would like to discuss with me about what I actually believe and wrote, I welcome that. If you want to your personal soap box subjects, that’s a great subject for your own thread.

Saying you are without sin verses in 1 John

There are so many different ways people define this term, that why I asked @Episkopos thiers! Same with any other person I chat with about this subject:)

Saying you are without sin verses in 1 John

That helps but I do have some more questions. I realize that these many of these points have been touched on, but I want to make sure I got each person’s position straight: -Do you view sanctification happening instantly or over time? -Do all believers eventually become sanctified ? - You...

Saying you are without sin verses in 1 John

I’ve not been following this thread until the last few minutes. Could you define specificly what you mean when you say “sanctification”? In your own words please.

    JaneDoe's "What I believe"

Family. Family is SO important; a pinnacle part of the Second Great Commandment. Family helps us grow, teaches us love to such a depth, (ideally) helps support us, and is amazing. That’s not to say there aren’t rough spots- my baby has been screening since 1 AM and we are both so sleepy now…...

Saying you are without sin verses in 1 John

A person is saved by Christ, not their ability to pass your theology test. JW have some majorly messed up theology, including the denial of Christ’s divinity, but the love of God and Christ are still there. To deny that live and faith serves no one.

Saying you are without sin verses in 1 John

Note: a if a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has 2 wives, that’s grounds for swift excommunication.

Should members need to disclose their denomination?

Only if the outside person has an accurate understanding of to the other group’s theology that exactly match that person’s beliefs. Frankly a lot of time that doesn’t happen. An outsider can have a very inaccurate grasp of what another group believes. Or the group’s beliefs on this particular...

    JaneDoe's "What I believe"

One thing you won’t here me talk about a lot: Joseph Smith. I do believe that he was a man of God (a prophet), but obviously not God Himself. Joseph Smith still had flaws and did make mistakes. Nor do I believe anything “because Joseph Smith said so!”- that’s not well thought out...

    JaneDoe's "What I believe"

Men of God: I do believe God calls men to be His servants and help lead His people, both globally and for small local areas. (Note: I’m using “men” here in the collective sense “human” which includes women). A disciple of Christ isnt supposed to be alone, but we are supposed to fellowship and...

    JaneDoe's "What I believe"

A foundation of studying: how to know something is True? Ask God, the source of all Truth. The Holy Spirit of His Truth, and is the source of the highest quality testimony. I personally do NOT accept “the Bible says it’s true so is must be true”. No. Instead a far better approach is “The...
