    The : Gay Agenda #2

See? You abuse God's Word, and now you're abusing my words. You are doomed.

    The : Gay Agenda #2

Gays have the highest rate of suicidality--people like you truly despise them, because you encourage them to celebrate their misery.

    The : Gay Agenda #2

Right, you're trying to twist the text into your own desire. You are in a terrifying position. You really need to give your sin up and turn to God.

    The : Gay Agenda #2

"What color is the sky?" "The sky is blue." "Keep an open mind!" :Laughingoutloud:

    The : Gay Agenda #2

Nope, just saying we know they were homosexuals, and homosexual acts are described as an "abomination", so we know what God refers to in Ezekiel. You're trying to make homosexuality OK. Never has been, never will be.

    The : Gay Agenda #2

Nah, it's much simpler: God singled out men lying with men, not rape or prostitution, as an "abomination". The narrative backs this up.

    The : Gay Agenda #2

Where are rape or prostitution described as "abominations"? Men lying with other men, on the other hand, is singled out as an "abomination".

    The : Gay Agenda #2

In the Biblical context, and according to the narrative, we know what "an abomination" is--all the men of the city wanted to rape the ones they thought were men. This was their normative lifestyle--committing the "abomination" of men lying with men.

    The : Gay Agenda #2

Nope, Ezekiel 16 50They were haughty and did an abomination before me. So I removed them, when I saw it. As Paul says, Romans 1 22Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and...

Did Jesus claim to be God?

    What was the word previously?

What Is "Predestination"? How Does It Shape Your Daily Life?

Right, being that they were in the Lamb's Book of Life before the world was, I am drawing a line between that and Jesus's statement "for you have been with me from the beginning". John's Gospel is self-referential, so permitting John to interpret John leads to this conclusion. Which "beginning"...

Did Jesus claim to be God?

Yeah, that's what I'm saying--I look at this discussion as one that is occurring between Christian siblings, among saints, but they do not. I'm starting to think maybe God really isn't with JWs, because this weird rabidness is a pattern I'm seeing with them. They just desperately want to win an...

Did Jesus claim to be God?

My issue is when people basically deny this--when they baselessly assert that trinitarians cannot have eternal life.

Did Jesus claim to be God?

Why, for Peter, was it perfectly acceptable to use "the Spirit of Christ" interchangeably with "the Spirit of God" if, for Peter, Jesus is not God? 1 Peter 1 10Concerning this salvation, the prophets who foretold the grace to come to you searched and investigated carefully, 11trying to...

Did Jesus claim to be God?

    Thought this might be edifying.

Did Jesus claim to be God?

Lol you "discern" I'm a bit of a "fence sitter"? How about I've literally been saying that for pages and pages? What do you mean "discern" ? Lol You don't have God's love, you are hateful--not true of all who express your view, but it's true of yourself and of EliG. You guys do not have God's...

Did Jesus claim to be God?

No, I'm saying I accept the verses that say Jesus has a God, but, taken together with the fact that Christ is husband to God's people (when God is husband to His people--plus, the verse says "Your Maker is your husband...", and John says "Without [Christ], nothing was made that was made"), the...

Did Jesus claim to be God?

In other words, how do I reconcile these passages saying Jesus has a God with the fact that Jesus is occupying a role only God can occupy ?
  19. GracePeace

Did Jesus claim to be God?

Well, it actually is not so simple for me. God said He was husband to His people, yet, in the New Covenant, Jesus is the husband to God's people. That's a huge problem for me in arriving at a solid "Jesus is not God".

Did Jesus claim to be God?

Wow, I guess you'll never get it. I'm not arguing against your "Jesus isn't God" view, only disagreeing with the notion that eternal life hinges on this issue.
