What did Christ say about the Law?

The OP is about what Jesus says about the Law. Are you helping move that conversation ahead? Am I missing something?

What did Christ say about the Law?

Please merely explicate what point you are making.

What did Christ say about the Law?

He literally says, "You have heard it said... but I say"--explicitly countermanding Torah.

What did Christ say about the Law?

No, bc "Salvation" is defined as having been foreshadowed by the Jews' "Salvation" from Egypt (when Jesus defines sin as "slavery", it's not mere coincidence)--still, after having been saved, they sinned and fell under God's wrath and failed to inherit what was promised them (1 Co 10).

What did Christ say about the Law?

Yep, James identifies Christ as a "Law giver"--ie, in terms of Law giving, on par with (or better than) Moses, as it says, "a prophet like Moses".

What did Christ say about the Law?

It's untrue that God's Law is eternal and unchanging--eg, the Law forbids incest, but incest was a Holy Command in Gen 1 ("be fruitful and multiply" would result in incest). Christ overruled Torah in a number of instances (eg, forbidding vows), so we know He didn't mean "You must follow the...

    Homosexuality: Wrong or Right?

Thanks for confirming my suspicion was true. Wasn't sure if it was bc I had had to take antibiotics (almost died--dialysis catheter got an infection), or bc reformulation. It's ineffective now. No mercury thankfully. I use Innate Response C-400. They said the FDA forced them to change their...

    Homosexuality: Wrong or Right?

I had relied on Tom's of Maine Cinnamint Propolis and Myrrh, but it seems to have been reformulated. Is the Tea Tree Oil Toothpaste really effective, then?

    Homosexuality: Wrong or Right?

FYI tangentially clove oil is a minor miracle for oral hygiene. Even prevents tartar buildup, and seems to kill the bacteria that cause tooth aches.

    Homosexuality: Wrong or Right?

It may need to be put to the test a bit before being accepted, but I think it's reasonable what @David in NJ is saying, and should be considered. I'm open to the idea that she was his bride upon drawing her first breath (possibly even before--she was already within him, though I'm uncertain it...

    Homosexuality: Wrong or Right?

Genesis 2 18Then the LORD God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him.” 19Out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the sky, and brought them to the man to see what he would call them; and whatever the man...

    Homosexuality: Wrong or Right?

And why does that make you laugh?

    Homosexuality: Wrong or Right?

    Not sure what you're saying.

    Homosexuality: Wrong or Right?

I thought Adam meant (by "now") "The creatures You brought to me before were not suitable, but, now you brought me something that is perfect for me." Oh, well, there ya go.

    Homosexuality: Wrong or Right?

"Funny" because it seems like it doesn't make a difference either way.

    Homosexuality: Wrong or Right?

There's actually a funny question as to whether Adam had a belly button, because he never had an umbilical cord. LOL But maybe he was just created with one.
  17. GracePeace

    Homosexuality: Wrong or Right?

Yeah, I think I could get on board with that.

    Homosexuality: Wrong or Right?

Not even sure what the point of Adam being affianced to Eve pertains to, just noting.
  19. GracePeace

    Homosexuality: Wrong or Right?

It might be a bit different with Adam, though--as also he was never "birthed", didn't develop in a womb, and didn't "grow up", but was born as a man--since Eve was literally from his flesh, whereas other men "become" "one flesh" with their wives, Eve was Adam's own "body" (as the Church is...
